Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort is island accommodation at its most luxurious. Set in a beautiful secluded islet right on the edge of stunning Aitutaki Lagoon, the resort presents breathtaking views of the lagoon and the surrounding beach and gardens. The resort is the only one directly on Aitutaki Lagoon and offers the Cook Island's only overwater bungalows.
These unique and luxurious bungalows are set among coconut palms and exotic gardens and all accommodation is fitted with plaited kikau for roofs, hand-woven pandanus wall matting, coconut hemp rope and locally crafted artefacts.
The onsite dining options offer fine a la carte menu and specialise in local seafood. The resort also features a number of excellent facilities including a boutique, beautifully landscaped swimming pool, twice weekly cultural shows and a wide range of excursions so everything you could possibly need while on holiday in the Cook Islands is never far from your accommodation.

Beachfront Bungalow: Set directly on the white sandy beach and offers stunning views out over the blue lagoon waters. Size is 60m². Bedding is 1 King Bed OR 2 Single Beds OR 1 King Bed + 1 Single Bed OR 3 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults.
Deluxe Beachfront Bungalow: These spacious bungalows are set directly on the beachfront with uninterrupted views of the lagoon. Size is 66m². Bedding is 1 King Bed OR 2 Single Beds OR 1 King Bed + 1 Single Bed. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults.
Premium Beachfront Bungalow: Located facing the sands of Sunset Beach with views over the Aitutaki Lagoon and shaded by the coconut palms. Bedding is 1 King Bed OR 2 Single Beds OR 1 King Bed + 1 Single Bed OR 3 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults.
Overwater Bungalow: These are the only overwater bungalows in the Cook Islands. They feature stylish tropical décor right on the edge of the lagoon. The décor is distinctly Polynesian with walls lined in pandanus and natural tapa cloth and carved Cook Islands artefacts adorn the room. There are steps that offer direct access to the lagoon below. For this reason Overwater Bungalows are not recommended for children who are not competent swimmers. After swimming, guests can rinse off under the outdoor shower on the lower verandah deck. The spacious Bungalow bathroom features an open air shower in a private walled garden and double wooden vanity. There are private sun lounges with a table and chairs on the verandah. Size is 67m². Bedding is 1 King Bed + 1 Single Bed OR 3 Single Beds. Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults.
Royal Honeymoon Private Pool Villa: Features Full Kitchen. Bedding is 1 King Bed + 1 Queen Bed. Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults. Price on Application.
H.M.S Bounty Restaurant & Bar: Located close to the swimming pool and lobby. Enjoy delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner menus featuring fresh seafood and Themed dinner evenings.
Flying Boat Beach Bar & Grill: Relax with a cold beverage in hand and enjoy light meals for lunch.

Staff could not do enough for us & they are so friendly & helpful. Bungalows are a good size & very clean when we arrived. As it was only a 3 night stay we choose $20 off our bill to forgo the daily clean of the room . Only downside were the pools, one badly needed repairs as tiles were coming off & our feet & hands had green colour of them from rubbing on the tiles. The other pool's bottom looked liked it could use a good clean. Lucky the lagoon water made up for the pools as it was crystal clear!
Pure relaxation, stunning location on the lagoon
Aitutaki itself is paradise, beautiful weather and picturesque. Aitutaki Lagoon Resort and Spa is also beautiful but VERY expensive. Thank you for the upgrade to the overwater bungalow, it was gorgeous and we felt very spoilt. In saying that the resort is expensive, all of Aitutaki is expensive for accommodation and it is simply something that has to be accepted if you want to visit and stay. Absolutely LOVED the place, staff and everything about it.
