We loved the Westin Denarau. It was a little bit of luxury after spending 7 nights at Plantation Island.
The service and resort are impeccable. We loved the pool, the bathroom products and the staff at the recreation bure.
We had the opportunity to swim at the Sheraton Resort and it was lovely too.
We will definitely be back to the Westin!
This is, I think, about our 18/19th time to the Westin we began going when it was just new and named The Regent, still love it, however, we were a little disappointed with the food prices as we felt they were very high even with the exchange rate.
Was a great holiday spent by the pool. We were fortunate enough to get great weather and the round sun lounges were a dream for our family of 4. We were able to keep an eye on our 5 year old and keep our 4 month old comfortable. We ate in house a few times but mostly headed to the port for cheap cocktails at Cardos.
The complimentary head and shoulder massage was one of the best we’ve had.
Great place to relax by the pool or the sea. Fantastic sunsets! Great food choices and wonderful walks. Staff are kind and helpful. Rooms were very spacious however ours flooded during a heavy rain. We were quickly moved to another room (which had a slight leak as well). Easy access to the Marina for day trips, which is a must-do! Eating at the Marina restaurants is also a good option. Seems like all the resorts in Denarau are expensive, in fact everything about Denarau is expensive. Except the $1 bus to Nadi to see the real Fiji (this is a must-do too). Overall, we had a great time. Too much to see and do in Fiji so we'll visit again.
We stayed here for our first 5 nights as it was our first time in Fiji. We used this as a nice place to stay whilst utilising the close proximity to all of the tours and attractions that are close by. There are nicer hotels on the Coral Coast to be fair, but this one is still a great option with the added benefit of being close to everything.
This was our second trip to the Westin. And as with our first stay. It wasn't long enough. The staff were fantastic and the amenities are first class.
Conveniently located close to Port Denarau with it's many restaurants, and transport hub to activities. Having easy access to neighbouring resorts' facilities, pools, and restaurants provided more variety and options for activities, eating about and short distance to Nadi airport.
We only stayed for 6 nights(wish it was longer) it was just perfect for us no hassles the staff could not do enough for us always with a beaming smile. Thank you
It was our first Fiji holiday but won't be the last! The staff and all the locals were the friendliest we have met. We really enjoyed the overall experience.
Mike
Nice place to stay staff very friendly and helpful, good activities at hotel, found the food and drink expensive, overall good break.
Great resort. Staff friendly and helpful. Always so clean and pool is lovely.. restuarants in hotel and surrounds have lots of yummy options
Had an amazing stay. Just so stunning. Locals are so friendly and want to ensure you don't have to lift a finger.
If it's relaxation, warmth and great service then the Westin at Denarau is ideal. Can't fault the beautiful staff, the accommodation with the ocean view was superb and the meals and drinks, although pretty expensive, were top class. Make sure you have breakfast incuded. The spread of food selections is amazing. The free bus to the other resorts and the golf club restaurant came in very handy. Prices are better at the club too. Highly recommended.
Staff are really friendly. Nice breakfast and seafood at the Kitchen Grill
we had a great stay, no hassles, seamless service and great hospitality.
We all had a fabulous time. Highly recommend this beautiful resort.
Friendly atmosphere, lovely pools, relaxing.
It would be very nice to have access to some freshly brewed coffee and some fruit throughout the day. There was also very little gluten free food available around the resort for snacking on whilst relaxing by the pool. Otherwise, it was a wonderful break away.
Stayed here for two nights. Beautiful room on the second story. very specious and very comfortable.
walking distance to other hotels - so you are not limited to one pool or restaurant.
there is no "beach" but there is a big pool. it was convenient to go to nadi with the new highway.
The Westin is a great place to stay! Having access to The Westin and Sheraton resorts is a great benefit. The locals and staff are very friendly and helpful and always smiling.
Highly recommended for family holidays.
We had a great time. Staff extremely friendly and making you very welcome. Will be back!
Westin Denarau was a lovely resort suitable for our family of 5. Being a family of 5 we had to stay in adjoining rooms with an interconnecting door (children are from ages 2-8 yrs old) but there are a limited number of larger rooms that can accommodate the larger families if they are available. They weren't for our stay and we didn't have to pay any extra to get the two interconnecting rooms. I think it worked out better as the kids loved having their own room and the extra space was great.
The decor is more traditional Fijian than the neighboring Sheraton Resort. Guests are able to use the facilitates and restaurants across the Westin; Sheraton Villas and Shearton Resort which are all next to each other and within walking distance of each other. This came in handy for choice of restaurants and for a change of scenery. All three resorts also honor each other's meal passes/discounts. We got a Kids Kana eating pass, which allowed the kids to eat main meals for free at all the resort restaurants.
Think the Island Cultural Night was overpriced, although very entertaining.
Apart from these things, we thought the staff were wonderful, friendly and so helpful....especially Watson.
This time we had a better look around and still are 100% sure we are at the best place. The staff are truly amazing and go out of there way beyond there duty.Food was on par with other resorts but felt there bakery was over priced. Our room was not what we asked for but they more than helpful to move us so we had a lovely spot over looking the pool.I cant say enough about THE WESTIN RESORT FIJI my favourite resort thank you so much marleen
Great holiday experience. Good service, friendly staff, clean room. Fantastic sea view.
Our room was on the ground floor of Block 2 and this was a quiet area that wasn't too far from the main pool and eating area. Huge king size bed and clean bathroom with a little porch out the front for enjoying the ocean view.
Excellent stay - we are a family of 5 and we felt most of the time that it was a quiet, tranquil and a peaceful place to relax, even though it was over the festive season. Great pool area, excellent service and perfect location within the Westin Hotel. Hope to be back some day. The Westin is highly recommended.
The lovely Fijian staff made our stay memorable. They were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was fabulous. However the other food could have been better. The resort and surroundings were beautiful.
We enjoyed eight wonderful nights in September at The Westin in Denarau. Great beachfront room, relaxing setting, fantastic weather, sumptuous breakfasts and outstanding service. Top place to stay for access to the Fiji islands, day cruises, etc. A little disappointed with the high prices for food and drink at the Westin, but this did not spoil our great holiday.
We all had a wonderful happy holiday, the lovely friendly staff made the stay pleasant. It all went well, even the weather was perfect.
Such a lovely hotel but wouldn't stay for more than night or two as think Islands had more of the Fijian experience.
Our only slight negative was that we thought that we booked a 2 bedroom accommodation but it was 2 rooms - so my daughter was on a roll-away in living area! Still really enjoyed our stay
This resort was so beautiful and luxurious. The entirety of the facilities were in top notch condition, so beautiful and our room was huge and amazing. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Would recommend to everyone but not so much for families. Only downside was the cost of food at the resort. Hope I can return one day!
We had a wonderful holiday the staff were friendly and helpful and the resort was lovely, it was clean and tidy would definately return.
Westin denaru was the best holiday we have had in years, the room was large and staff very friendly.Food is very exspensive but it is the same at most resorts if you look around you can find cheaper. Our room was large and very clean and I cant say enough about the staff was stayed there for eight nights and cant fault one thing. The great thing about staying is you can walk or get a bula bus to all the resorts around you and find different things to do. We will certainly be going again.
It would be better if taxes were included in meal prices.Very expensive to eat within cashless resorts. We ate out mostly at Denerau.
This place is great for couples and families. Relaxing and in the perfect location. Staff made the stay even better with their smiles and helpfulness. Very friendly place and will definitely return! Very happy customers :)
Absolutely loved the beautiful setting, the amazing and welcoming staff and the awesome activities. Would definitely love to come back!
The Kitchen is a fantastic restaurant for lunch and dinner. Spa experience was incredible and definitely 'heavenly'. Left feeling like we wished we could stay longer... ????
The Westin is a beautiful hotel built in Fijian style which makes it stand out from the others on Denarau. Beautiful adults only pool near the gym and a really relaxed feel compared to the Sheraton and other surrounding hotels. Would have liked some non motorised water activities to be included in the price as there isn't a lot for older kids to do....but the 2 bedroom villas are huge and although Fiji seems to be getting expensive, it is the most relaxing place to do a lot or do nothing
wonderful resort with great service, from the most friendly of staff. food and drinks were very overpriced but were amazing and never disappointed. big bonus having the inter link with the sheraton where we spent alot of the time mainly due to the beach front for the kids.
Had a minor problem, I left my shoes in the room when we checked out, so I called about 10 days later and no one had handed them into lost property. I was very disappointed.
Our stay was made enjoyable, due to excellent food outstanding service & spotless amenities. Would definantly go back.
We loved our room, it had been updated in a very tasteful manner. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Some staff looked like they'd prefer to be elsewhere but the majority were fantastic. Loved the atmosphere. Easy access to the port etc. Resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained.
Lovely stay. Will definitely be back.......
It was the second time I stayed at the Westin. Would definitely stay there again. Only negative was that the room was a bit dark and it was on a path so everyone could see in. Also, washing is a problem. It would be nice to be able to rinse clothes and dry them.
Excellent service, great accomodation, would recommend.
We found the resort to be a wonderful place to stay, very friendly and accommodating staff - always eager to help in any they could, location is perfect, only criticism we have is it is ridiculously expensive to eat and drink at the resort considering it is only a 5 minute taxi into Port Denarau that costs $5 each way and the dining is so much better and a lot less expensive.
We stayed here on our honeymoon for 7 nights, the room was lovely, quiet and clean, beds were amazingly comfortable.
Location was a short Bula bus ride to the marina where you can dine out, or a short bus ride to the Sheraton resort.
Pool and surroundings were beautiful, right on the beach front, with drinks and dining services poolside. The resort doesn't have a kids clubs so we noticed it had less kids in compared to the Sheraton.
The gym isn't too bad, has basic equipment and was quite busy - they would do better if they expanded the gym.
Buffet breakfast was amazing, eggs cooked to order, full hot breakfast, juicing machine, pancakes, champagne available every morning as well as your standard toasts, cereals, pastries, hams, cheeses and fruit!
The only negative comment is as the week went on I noticed the room service slacked a little, less towels were left and the bottles of water left were not consistent, some days 2/3 some days 1, somedays none. This is my only complaint but it was nothing major, didn't spoil our stay.
Once again had a beautiful time at the Westin.
Only spent 1 night here but it was a fantastic hotel in a brilliant location. Loved it!
I've travelled around the world, but have never been as pampered and received such excellent and friendly service as we did at the Westin. The staff are the best and the chorus of staff singing their goodbyes to leaving guests was wonderful. The villa was exceptional with magnificent views. Loved every minute. We'll be back.
The rooms have renovated bathrooms. The beds are comfortable. Ocean front has fantastic views.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here can't wait to take kids back soon.
We had a stop over here when we left an island for a couple of days which happened to be our 30th wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday and the Lady behind the counter when we checked in promised us a bottle of wine to celebrate our occasion not once but twice over 2 days...Just to let you know we are still waiting...? About the hotel...Location is great, staff were great, breakfast was great, we had dinner at the Sheraton both nights and the meals were fantastic and the band at the bar were worth more than you could pay, they played our wedding song for us as a request and had never played that song before but absolutely nailed it...thanks guys you were one of the highlights of our trip and loved your music..........I wish we could of stayed longer at these resorts as they all interconnect and are great value......Will be back for our next anniversary song...........
With a distinct Fijian feel that the other Denerau hotels don't have, the Westin is a gorgeous place for a laid back yet indulgent holiday. Our friends staying at other hotels were envious! Handy to the port if you want to take a boat trip to experience the Fiji Islands; the beach on Denerau isn't anything special. Food is expensive at the hotel but our included breakfast was lush. There are plenty of places at the port for nice meals, it's a cheap taxi ride or 10 min walk. The pool area at the Westin is divine. We were a couple on a romantic holiday without the kids, there were children in the pool from time to time but the hotel wasn't teeming with kids. We'd definitely go back!
The best hotel in Denarau by far. We went with our 21 month old and they treat kids like gold in Fiji which was fantastic to see. The room was so comfortable and the bed was like a cloud.
On the down side. I find the food in Fiji was nothing to rave about. Room service and food outlets so overpriced and poor quality for what we had.
A magical and relaxing resort.
After having stayed here in 2011 for our honeymoon we decided to come back this year for another holiday and after staying at 2 other resorts in Fiji The Westin is by far the very best!! We love it. I love the style of the rooms and the art and decorations I love the location right in the middle of all the other hotel's restaurants and the service was fantastic. You definetely have to get used to service in 'Fiji time' but once you get over that they really do provide a really good service. I've noticed from 3 years ago prices have really gone up in terms of buying alcohol and food but I didn't mind as we were staying in a beautiful hotel.
I think the Westin is fantastic for couples and if I had kids I would stay at the Sheraton. The pool facilities seemed to be geared towards kids and families whereas the Westin has a more luxurious pool with a great bar area where they have live music.
Also had a massage at the Heavenly Spa both times and loved it beautiful indoor outdoor feel and nice facilities and really good massage.
The breakfast was included and is so good! Heaps of variety and never saw anything empty
Loved every second and can highly recommend after either staying at other resorts in Denarau or wandering through the grounds of the other hotels this is definetely the best one!
Great value for money exceptional service, big friendly Fijian smiles
From the moment we pulled up to the last day we left, the service was second to none and all the staff were very friendly.
The Westin was awesome in the fact that it was so closely located to all other facilities on Denarau Island. Service, facilities, ambience and food were all beyond reproach. Would definitely go back again!
Very much enjoyed the resort. Very helpful and as soon as we checked in were immediately upgraded to a beach front room. Very nice and very obliging.
Friendly and safe environment for a family holiday.
Loved the Westin. Staff amazing from reception, to porters to Lanny our cleaner. Pool divine. Rooms gorgeous and such comfy beds. Breakfast superior to Sheraton - loved the juicer. Wandered along to all other Denerau resorts and Westin was so much more peaceful than others as not so many young families. Would def return to Westin.
What a relaxing time we had, albeit too short! We will be back I'm sure.
GreAt place for great holiday. Excellent staff, prime location, great rooms. All good.
We had an amazing time at the Westin Denaru. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was amazing and overall we had a wonderful holiday. The pools and facilities that the resort offers are beautiful and I would highly recommend coming to the Westin for your next holiday
We had a great stay. The people, the service and the location are amazing. The bathroom could do with a update but overall a fantastic experience.
We had an awesome trip in Westin! Very nice place to stay for families and couples..
fantastic place to stay for all type of people families, couples etc
The property is in a great location with both families and couples alike using the property. Being able to use the nearby Sheraton Hotels was great.
Rooms are spacious and clean, and I could not fault the staff
We loved it, the surrounds where gorgeous.
The people were so friendly, it was a great stay.
Thank you
Staff were amazingly friendly always there to help and brilliant wih the kids. Cant wait to go back.
Nice place to go especially with kids. modern decor, good food a bit over priced but nice.
enjoyable, relaxing
The staff were absolutely wonderful, our room was fantastic we can't wait to return we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Loved it!
Highly recommend,it's a short flight, great super clean location, easy for families to travel to and stay with all facilities available.
Great deal on flights and accommodation
Golf course a must for keen golfers
Very friendly people
Our room was spacious and very accomodating. The general pool and especially the lap pool & other facilities were great. Good range of food options & great coffee at the bakery. Staff beautiful & friendly but that is just the Fijian people in general
The room is large and comfortable and very friendly and helpful staff. I was disappointed with food of the restaurants on the resorts. We ate at the feast, Steak House, and Zing. The food was disappointing at the prices charged. The restaurants at the Marina were much better in terms of value and quality. We ate at Mamas, Bone fish and Nadina.
Excellent service and facilities. Relaxed atmosphere and very friendly staff. Enjoyed an amazing fireworks display on NYE.
The Westin has a true Fijian feel to it service was great and everyone was very friendly. There were lots of restaurants to choose from although they were very pricey but the marina is not far away and had great places to eat.
Lovely staff and we thought the beds were the most comfortable we've slept in. Great pool area with lots of shady places.
Alittle expensive but its five stars so expected it! Everything was great
Friendly service, beautiful room. Prices at restaurants and drinks a little pricey in some of the restaurants but plenty of other options.
Great Resort, Location and also you can use the two other Resorts. Heavenly Day Spa was fantastic. Found a great Resturant near the Airport called Bulacinno, cheap and quality food. Lisa from Travelonline was great and would use her again. Thankyou
would love to return
A really pleasant week. Our blind daughter, who could not participate in everything, just loved the ambience; you can be as active or relaxed as you want. We'll be back.
The resort restaurants were far too expensive However the food we had the one time we did eat in the resort restaurant was good. We ate at the marina restaurants for almost half the price even taking in consideration the cost of the bulla bus to get there, we also thought some of the day trips were too expensive for what you get. The beaches on the island are not good (black sand) however the pools were great & very well maintained, We had a great time just relaxing around the pools & doing some sight seeing around Fiji. The rooms were comfy & all the staff very friendly. We will go back to Fiji some time for another relaxing holiday & we will probably stay at the Westin
We could not pick fault with the resort and would definitely stay again. We jumped on the Bulla Bus and visited all the other resorts on Denarau. The Westin was by far the most impressive. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great with a lot of variety. We travelled with another two couples and we were all impressed with our rooms and the resort.
Such a amazing hotel with outstanding service, great food and facilities!
Excellent resort. Friendly, lovely staff. Relaxing place. The beds are so comfortable. The activities are great for the kids. Great location.
Overall the hotel is not a bad one to stay at as it's close to public transport and not too far from the town centre. Free buffet breakfast was great but any other meal if you were to eat at the resort was a little expensive. Service was pretty good, and they're great with kids. I'd stay there again....
Great location, nice pool/outdoor facilities, restaurnt food was pricey, room was old
We were looking for a place to unwind and The Westin was perfect. The Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Due to delayed flights we were very late arriving however the personal greeting made us feel very welcome and that feeling remained for the length of our stay.
we had a really good time great service, beautiful place
The only words i can say in regards to The Westin and it's employees in Fiji is everything was AMAZING, FANTASTIC and Delightful. The place is lovely and the staff make it that much better by being friendly, happy, always up for a chat and helpful beyond words they made my first stay in Fiji the best experience, so a big warm vinaka.
Will be recommending to all our freinds as the place to stay in Fiji and we will be back very soon+++++++
food was a bit average but staff very friendly and helpful
The lovely people of Westin were excellent. The pool area was great and the bakery was perfect for coffee and a feed at great prices. Moo Moo was great for a quiet dinner. Had the staff come to our room to sing for a anerversay and it was so lovely.
Our first holiday away with our 8 month old boy. Last week of July 2012, weather was great about 30 degrees and sunny every day. A great time to go as the resort(s) weren't busy.
Arrived Nadi airport and traveled to the Westin with TTF transfer wich took about 30mins (booked online).
Check-in was fast and easy. We asked if the Cot was in the room and they said it would be shortly. We were taken to our room via a \\"golf buggy\\" vehicle.
Within 10 mins reception phoned to ask if we were happy with our room (ocean view). We mentioned we were still waiting on the cot (arrived in the next 10 mins).
Room was great, clean, plenty of room, a/c can stay on when you leave, bath/shower room was a \\"wet room\\". A shower curtain around the bath but not the shower!
Buffet breakfast was great, lots of hot/cold options for all including our little boy. All the staff were so friendly especially with our little boy who loved them all.
Moo Moo restaurant was great, reasonably priced for a resort plus 20% discount if you ate between 6-7pm (plus while we were their kids meals were free).
As the neighboring Sheraton(s) are also ran by starwood you can use their facilities and dine at their restaurants (and charge to your room). I would recommend making reservations if eating at any of the resort restaurants.
We also ate at the Denarau Port where there are about 6 or so restaurants and are cheaper than the resorts. Taxi from the resort is 5 FJD each way. There is also a small supermarket at the Port.
Pools were great, Westin had a great toddlers pool which our son loved. Plus you also have the option of using the other Sheraton pools (about 3 to 6 min walk along the waterfront).
There isn't much of a beach at the Westin and probably wouldn't want to swim in the ocean there, but they do offer a free water taxi out to the nearby island which has a beach and cleaner water. As we had our little boy with us we didn't do any day trips this time.
We would definitely stay here again (or at the Sheraton).
Bula! Had a fantabulous family holiday for 5 nights, the Resort is traditional yet equisite, keep you engazed with different activities throughout and yet give you all your space, gorgeous views, we stayed in ocean front views and December mid seemed like the perfect weather to be there. Very hospitable and friendly staff ...Vinaka Fiji
It is one of the best resorts I have stayed in. Would recommend it to all wishing to stay in Fiji, handy to everything you could possible wish to do. Take the village bus to Nadi and pass through local villages on the way, that will show you real local life.
We arrived and were taken to our accommodation which was very basic and not at all as expected. When we asked to be moved we were told that we would have to pay an extra $100 per night to be moved to a newly renovated room. The only difference with this room is it has been newly tiled. The extra benefits of daily newspaper delivered and use of Vuso bar free for 1 hour per day does not equate to an extra $100/night. The service was very poor and at times rude. The uniforms of the service staff in the restaurant were dirty and they were not helpful at all. We will never stay at one of the Westin hotels ever again and would advise any prospective guests to check out other values at Port Denarau before booking.
