The benchmark for customer service
We spent 5 nights at the Renaissance Uluwatu hotel and had one of the best stays at a hotel we have ever had.
The thing that made our stay was the staff. Special mention to Rosa who assisted us with so many things during our stay, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed at another hotel the previous 12 months and had a room that was meant to provide exceptional service levels, however, what Rosa provided to us has set the benchmark for Guest Relations at a hotel. Rosa needs to be commended on the way she learnt our names quickly and the way she handles herself. Where other staff told us it couldn't be done, Rosa went and sorted everything for us. She is truly amazing.
The room (we had a Junior Suite) was large and well appointed. I loved the huge bathroom with wet room. I would say, the configuration of this room type wouldn't suit all and care must be had if you have a bathroom that overlooks other rooms as they can see straight in if you do not close the blinds.
The food here is fantastic with a lot on the menu to suit all. We ate many times here as the hotel is quite a distance from other areas. Everything we tried was of a high standard and we particularly loved the buffet breakfast which was always fresh and of a high quality. There are two restaurants on the premises and we tried both, Double Ikat providing the best Indonesian cuisine we have had. A great experience. Clay Craft has a great menu with a huge range to choose from. A special call out to Dewa who got to know our families preferences, names and treated us so well during our stay.
We did the pottery class while staying at the hotel and this was a lot of fun - so glad that we had the chance to do this activity.
One thing that maybe needs addressing at this hotel is the tiles in the pool. One of the kids cut her toe on a broken tile on the first day and we noticed multiple broken tiles during our stay. The staff were however fantastic in administering first aid and also checking in on how the toe was healing.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is happy to spend time at the hotel and venture out to other places via taxi. This suited us and we made the most of our time in Uluwatu.

Beautiful location
Stunning location, beautiful food, superb service by all staff, and the kids club was a huge bonus for our kids who enjoyed a few hours of fun there everyday. My favourite was the sauna and steam room, such luxury

Wonderful experience
My husband and I had the most luxurious and wonderful time at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa, thanks to all the staff who were supper supportive and lovely. The service, cleanliness and facilities were commendable. We will definitely be back
