Thanks great stay although they let us down with housekeeping abit

If you're after something very central to shops and main strip then a stay at the Novotel is a great place to stay.
Expect it to be a little noisy as it is in the heart of all the action.
The hotel itself was in a great location, the room was refurbished and had everything we needed and the staff were great.
Negatives: It did get very noisy in the corridors as you could hear the doors to the rooms closing and banging, you could hear the lifts being pressed and you could hear lots of talking as the walls were thin.

Excellent location. Perfectly positioned in the heart of surfers. Nice enough room but improvement needed. Poor pillow selection. Bathroom needs an upgrade. Water ends up flooding the floor. Even after getting maintenance in the issue wasn't properly sorted. Otherwise good enough for a reasonable priced stay in surfers paradise

Great location to Surfers Paradise shops and beaches

Staff were friendly and the food was amazing.

The location of the hotel is excellent

We booked the superior family room as we stayed for an event expecting a basic room with no view. The room we were lucky enough to get was high up with an ocean view. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Paying for parking is the only downfall.

Novotel was a great place to stay. but please keep in mind that the rooms are being renovated and its not all complete. some of the lower levels are yet to be touched at all. we started in a room on level 6 that hadnt been touched. the room was musty and smelt like mould but was presented cleanly. due to having a child with asthma we saw reception and paid the small upgrade amount yo move up to a delux room on level 30. worth payingv it. surfers paradise is very loud and noisy and busy 24/7. at times its impossible to get a carpark in the shared carpark. on our last day we drove around for 30 minutes trying to get a carpark. the staff are friendly and accommodating. overall a lovely stay

Good value for money, good service and friendly staff but some facilities are in need of an update.

I had a fantastic holiday. The hotel is located right in the centre of surfers and couldn't have been in a better location. Looking forward to next year. Thankyou

The parking is $15 a day, we stayed 7 nights and there was no discount on the parking. Pretty disappointing.Situated right on top of a shopping centre, so although everything conveniently close by, was hardly peaceful or relaxing if that is what you are after. Views were great, could see whales in the sea. The pool was closed one afternoon when the kids were itching to go for a swim...really put a damper on our stay. Housekeeping kept supplying 3 towels for 4 people which was also annoying.

Our room was spacious and seemed clean, however there was a big crack in the wall, the basin also had big cracks in it and was stained. The bar fridge was also very old and dirty looking. Hot food at the buffet breakfast was not hot, mildly warm if that.

The Hotel Grand Chancellor is in a fantastic position close to all the action in Cavill Mall Surfers Paradise, the beach and also numerous dining opportunities. The Hotel is lovely and clean and the staff were efficient and friendly... would definitely stay here again.

Central location for everything in Surfers Paradise

Fantastic location. Outstanding service great value.

Great choice for holiday. Close to everything restaurants shops and beach all within walking distance. Just remember to check for bed configuration. Ended up with twin beds instead of one queen bed. Could probably have changed it as staff were very friendly but was happy overall.

What a lovely place to stay. The kids really enjoyed the spa and pool. Excellent location so close to everything. The staff were so accomodating and really genuine. Would defiantly stay here again. Loved it

Good location and good service

This hotel is in a great location on top of a shopping centre with access to the supermarket for drinks, snacks etc.. Cavill Avenue on the doorstep for dining options for everyone. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was good, with only a few issues like the door sticking and hairdryer not working but overall a good choice.

Really great time and everything was wonderfull the hotel the food and thier service were excellent

The view from our room over the coastline was great. I thought the room was clean and tidy but the furniture needed updating and the décor improved such as a picture or painting on the wall.
We did not use dining.

Simlpe, clean room with good facilities for a family and so close to transport, beach, and the buzz of Surfers.
