Thank you really enjoyed our stay

We had a lovely five days at Tangalooma Resort and stayed in one of the beach front villas. 
Location was amazing with wonderful views over the beach and beyond. The villa itself was good although quite tired looking in parts and could do with some updates. 
The tv didn't work and one of the keys didn't fit the lock well. The bathrooms are very dated. The eateries were ok but expensive as expected on an island. Coffee at the cafe was great. Fresh seafood plates from the restaurant next door was incredible and so fresh. 
The staff all over the resort were very helpful and polite all the time. Overall a nice relaxing place. 

Everything is made as easy and convenient as possible set in the beautiful Moreton Island landscape.

Great stay on Tangalooma. You have lots of activities to do or just relax on the beautiful beach.

We had a wonderful 3 day stay could have stayed longer. We definitely return and explore more.

Had a great time, Tangalooma Island Resort have the process of getting there and back down to a fine art, no stress! Accommodation was good and all facilities were great, the staff throughout the whole resort were always happy to look after you. Dolphin feeding. Parasailing and Segways all great experience.

A great place to stay. Clean and functional rooms, great activities and something for everyone. Hospitable, friendly staff eager to assist at all times. Would recommend the resort particularly for families

We stayed in a deluxe motel room for 5 nights. enjoyed the Resort activities and tours and the snorkelling at the wrecks. Some staff more helpful than others. Food and drinks at the resort quite expensive. The BBQ and Fire and Stone restaurant had great food however the cafe and coffee shop were poor quality eg toasties were warm bread and not toasted so a little bit of attention to detail would make the experience more enjoyable. Families would need to camp or stay in units with stove or bbq as eating out everyday was expensive.

Moreton Island itself is great, however our accomodation was very basic and we'd prefer a small kitchenette. We also found the dining options very limited as there was only 1-2 options.

Beautiful Island . Room was clean and Tidy except the fold always sheet we're not changes from previous guests. House cleaning staff provided new linen to me . Food was very expensive and only ok. If I went again I would take snacks and some foods with me . The experiences were great yet all very expensive for a whole family to do .

I really appreciated how the transfers and arrival at Tangalooma was made effortless. Customer Service was absolutely amazing. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with a lovely smile.

Great to get away so close from the big city. Enjoying best sunsets and family time.

Tangalooma Resort is set in beautifully manicured, tropical gardens and wide paths throughout the entire complex where families will find swimming pools just outside their room, big enough to play and/or relax in for hours. Unfortunately we had a lot of trouble actually finding our building and room as the buildings themselves are not sign-posted. Luckily there are always helpful and happy staff on grounds there to assist you with anything.
The beaches are well-maintained, water pristine and gentle - ideal for everyone.
Make sure you bring lots of money with you as prices for food and drinks are very expensive.
But overall, Tangalooma/Moreton Island is worth the visit.

We absolutely loved our time on the island. Beautiful place. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A great place for the young and old (a bit of walking is required though). Some of the food and beverage is a bit expensive but overall we highly recommend and will be going back.

Comfortable, interesting, there is something for everyone at a reasonable cost , adventure, nature's gift ,wildlife clear water,and of course a cocktail.

Enjoyable and relaxing

Tangalooma offers true island resort time close to Brisbane. We would recommend a stay here for a short, easily accessible break. There a many activities available, or you can just relax.

what an amazing week we had - gorgeous beaches ,crystal clear water and a fantastic assortment of activities available so we could do as little or as much as we wanted each day
meals were great at each location we ate at and the size and quality of kids meals exceeded my expectations
a perfect location whether you are looking for a relaxing couples retreat or entertainment packed family vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, great food, especially prawns and loved the Chineses restaurant. Gardens and grounds are impeccable and views are amazing. Next time I'm going on a Quad Bike Tour.

We found the value for money consideration very good.
The staff on the Island were helpful, courteous, friendly as any destination I have been to & we are well travelled. Our congratulations go out to them.
I must take this opportunity to also highlight all the staff at the Ferry & Holt St wharf, they were efficient & easy to deal with, they created a great start to the holiday.
We went on this trip to get an idea of how it would be for our future Family Holidays.
If you keep the same value for money services, beer / wine/ food / accommodation, etc. we will definitely be back with all our family this time.

Like all holiday experiences, it is the friendliness of the staff that I enjoyed the most - thank you for such a fun experience especially for my 10 year old on the spectrum - we loved it!

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort. Although the room we got is dated, it did not matter as our days were filled with so any different activities to choose from. The staff were lovely and accommodating, which was really helpful as I was travelling with my child in the spectrum, and without their assistance when I requested - it could have turned quickly into a forgettable experience. But we made it through the other side, ecstatic to have been able to participate in activities that my son would usually not join in - thank you so much for such memorable experiences and being so accommodating

We had a wonderful stay and great experiences that we’ll always cherish. Feeding the dolphins tops our list but we also enjoyed the simple things such chilling out and watching the sunset. We’ll definitely come back and hope to do the whale watching next time.

A slice of paradise that we didn't want to leave.

The web site is very honest about the rooms, etc, but the main complex was a let down - very tired. The breakfast was especially poor and not worth the money. Better off bringing your own foods and using the BBQs.

We had an amazing time and we were completely recharged and sad to leave!
Everything was better than we expected. All the staff members were very friendly and excursions were well organised.
The only thing that could improve is the shop. I would suggest to use the empty real estate office as a souvenir/merchandise/clothes shop and expand the stock in the grocery shop + moderate the prices.

We struck good weather which helped, the only negative was that we thought the food menus could have some more choices.

Had the best time great place great service very friendly people and staff

Launch transfers - efficient, friendly and very helpful staff. We stayed in Villa 12 and it has everything a family would need for a great holiday. The sofa bed downstairs urgently needs a new mattress - its hard as rock. Overall the dolphin feeding that was included in our deal was very interesting, we played tennis went snorkeling and just relaxed. Staff were helpful and friendly and provided very good service. We didn't really make use of the Dining options. We had good weather and made good use of the kitchen - overall a fantastic mini break of 4 nights.

Although the weather doesn't permit most of what we have planned to do, the Whale Watching made up for it, it was an amazing experience to see them PERFORM! September is the best month for this while summer months would be the best months for snorkeling and cruising activities. We will be booking again!!

Beautiful natural surroundings with staff committed to the environment

Most enjoyable

Our only negative comment would be really overpriced food from the convenient store, if your going to stay for awhile definitely take your own supplies! We were so annoyed at the prices just for milk and bread.
Very limited children's activities for free, everything cost money? Even the small kids trampoline? Maybe look at supplying a kids club where kids can go and play games, tv even a movie night for the kids , we took 4 kids and they were bored as there was nothing that they could do without paying again for activities.
We didn't do any activities as they were so over priced. I think if your going to have all of these activities some should be complementary to staying guests.
In the rooms we stayed in winter yes it was cold, we had very limited warm bedding no big quilts just a sheet and a blanket so yep we froze our butts off!! An oven was probably the thing we needed most..,, 8 of us in one villa and only a frypan to do all our cooking was a little challenging at times.
Very impressed with the staff at the salon day spa she was great very good at massage , but not very relaxing atmosphere, I think it was in a room below another room with dryers going constantly? Doors closing and shutting very disruptive for a day spa experience!! But overall happy I got a nice massage.
A little more attention to staying guests apposed to day trippers by the boat loads daily, we never even got a phone call to our room to see if everything was ok at anytime, not a lot of care from management.
Our biggest grudge was no concierge to collect our bags as we took our own car .., but everyone who took their bags on the ferry got their bags shuttled to their rooms? We were also guests!
Our biggest annoyance was our last day we had to check out at 10 but the car ferry and normal ferry was at 4 in the afternoon so we had to sit around with all the kids for 5 hours .., even though the young man working in reception the day before we left had said he would try and get us a late checkout? Ummm we never even got a follow up call to let us know, hence we checked out at 10.
No service from staff for this inconvenience no apology no nothing , we would of thought after paying $3200 for our stay we would get a little bit of something?!
Overall we loved our stay beautiful location but just could be s bit more user friendly!!

Great, relaxing place to stay being right on the beach. Food was pretty average. Could do with perhaps some more live music throughout the week. Otherwise a very enjoyable holiday.

All the food here is a ripoff, with the one exception being the Fire and Stone restaurant which had great quality food to match the price. Even the general store prices were two to three times that of the mainland. We were upgraded to a Villa which was a bit bigger than the Resort Suite we booked, but a lot older and dated.

We had a great time, family with 2 teenagers - heaps for them to do! Some of the activities could have been provided with no charge like the use of kayaks. Breakfast was great but the lunch/dinner options were fairly limited especially after 4 days. All in all though a great getaway!!! Thanks.

Wonderful place with spectacular wildlife and gorgeous beach. Comfortable accomodation and learnt a lot from the eco rangers.
Breakfast was too early for me, but food choices overall were good for me as a non meat eater. Would love to go back to relax and catch up on the dolphins.

There is plenty to do on Moreton Island. I took my three teenage children and we stayed at Tangalooma. The highlight for them was the quad bike tour, parasailing and riding the jet ski.
For me it was snorkelling and seeing a variety of sea life including starfish, sting rays and turtles. Watching the beautiful sunsets with a cocktail and the tour out to the desert.
We were there for 8 days over Christmas 2014. The resort hosted Carols on Christmas Eve and Santa arrived with his elves driving up the beach in decked out dune buggies and 4 wheeled motor bikes.Which was fantastic!
We pre-ordered Christmas platters for lunch and they were delicious and were actually the best food we had there in the whole 8 days.
The accommodation was basic (family suite) which was fine by us as we only really slept in the rooms, we were always outside. We had a full sized fridge plus microwave and frying pan in our room. The view was perfect, overloooking the water and located near the pool and activities centre. We had stacker windows in both the lounge/dining area and the bedroom which looked out onto the water.
The island is beautiful. The water is clear and the beaches are clean.
Only down side was the food. Do not pay the $28 a head for breakfast unless you have a massive appetite. (we paid for this when we booked our accommodation).
Food in general is disappointing and very over priced. For the cost I would expect gourmet food and I would compare it to club food. Looked fresh but didn't quite taste it. Tasted like food does when it is mass produced.
Would highly recommend taking food over in an esky as many other families did. There are BBQs available and other accommodation options have full kitchens.
Overall a fantastic holiday.

The package we travelled on was great value for money as it included breakfast & dinner, transfers, dolphin feeding and boat cruise.
My only comment would be that the options for food were a bit average but for 5 days was fine.
The dolphin experience was the highlight as was the snorkling.

Stayed for 5nights 1st week of school holidays in kookaburra room k13 can't fault the room clean motel style, roll out beds were made for our toddlers ( many hotels seem to forget the kids or make me set it up) bathroom very clean and all needs meet. We booked a family package online through travelonline.com it was great value breakfast buffet which was amazing best I have had in a long time at a hotel everything you could want for breakfast and good quality. I feel since previous reviews they have made many changes it was delicious great bacon, pancakes, waffles, fruit!!! Also reasonable price comparing to other qld resorts and hotels. Same for the beach cafe we had dinner every night all my favourites on the menu from salads to steak at what seems to be average qld prices! After reading reviews we took an esky full of food and used only the snack food all BBQ meat we took home as breakfast held us out all day and we had dinner vouchers in our package which more than covered our meals I even ordered extra drink or entree to make up the price. When booking I had read the previous reviews and was really nervous. Yes there are renovations which is clearly stated on the website at booking these are in the main area of he resort but we barely noticed them they do most of the work outside key meal times. If you are after a relaxing holiday or action packed there are activities galore. The free feedings are great to get up close to pelicans, fish, kookaburras, dolphins my 2& 4 yr old boys were also happy to see all of these. Other free games my kids are to small for but we did watch others and they looked fun archery, boules, basketball etc. Whale watching cruise staff were amazing in rough conditions with many sick guests. We were concerned about the quad bikes but they were only once on the beach the rest of the week they were on alternate tracks. My only negative - there was no toddler pool area amongst the 2 beautiful pools only the steps.

Excellent Holiday at Tangalooma ,Staff very friendly and helpful . Out of the 10 Australian Island stays we've had this was by far the best value for money, easy access to and heaps to do...will definitely come again!!

Cyclone hit the day after we arrived. Even so, it was a beautiful place, good swimming, a tropical paradise.

We had the best family holiday at Tangalooma. We will definately go back. Everything was even better than we expected. So organised and family friendly.
Accomodation and meals were great. The tours were awsome. The Dolphins were so beautiful. JUST A TOP PLACE!!!!!!!

Easily one of the best destinations for a family holiday. Very child friendly beaches. For those with a little older children, one of the best adventure holidays a family as a whole will have.

The Island was gorgeous, really enjoyed the snorkeling and free activities on offer. I was a little disappointed with the services not provided for the room. The accommodation and room itself was very adequate. I thought we could have been provided with clean bedding and towels daily, and a made up room at least once during our stay. I understand it wasn't available in the package, I would have been happy to pay extra if I was given the option. 4 people staying in 1 room for 4 nights definitely requires clean towels and a made-up room.

Great location and value however service is very poor with employees antisocial and failing to acknowledge resort guests. Dining options are poorly serviced and not civilised.

We had a fantastic holiday, although we thought our transferes we're included in the package deal to and from the airport, this caused a little confusion on the way their and we ended up jumping in a taxi to get to the launch, but other than that it was great, we would most certainly go back for another visit.
