We had a lovely time at the Panorama Seaside Apartments on Norfolk Island.
Whilst a short distance from town, the facilities were fine for our needs and the valley and ocean views were to die for!
The Manager was very welcoming and helpful in assuring our stay was a very pleasant one!
Manager was friendly and willing to help where possible but there was a noise issue emanating from an adjacent room's ceiling fan motor and also dishes in cupboard not very clean.
We had a lovely week here, the second time I've stayed. It has everything I need. Must admit it's looking a little tired nowadays. This building is in a fabulous position and has so much potential that is just not being realised.
Second time I've stayed here. Looks a little tired nowadays. It's clean and has all I want but really needs some TLC both inside and out. Such a building has great potential!
This is an old property. Needs a bit of work, however, it was clean. Basics were there- 3 knives, forks, spoons and cups. Towels could have been changed daily if we wanted. There is no air conditioner but as far As we understand there are no air conditioners on the island. Big fan over the bed helped but needed a big one for the lounge area. Nice big tv. Brett was helpful. Happy with the location. Not for fussy campers but okay for oldies. There are two flights of stairs.
An old building that needs a lot of maintenance but our unit was certainly adequate. The view was superb. Unit was clean and bed comfortable, linen was changed on request. It wasn't luxury but with the view I would certainly recommend a stay there
Average condition apartments stuck in the 70's. Close to everything though.
Rooms require renovation.
Fabulous view.
Host was very friendly.
The Location of Panorama and in particular the "Seaview Room" at the end of the complex made the visit for me as sitting in the lounge room for Sunrise and sunset over the bay and Kingston convict settlement was amazing. That being said, the accommodation block and other rooms do not have this view. The complex is quite dated and need of some tender loving care. The Manager / Owner was very hospitable and addressed our concerns and needs. It is a location that you definitely need a car as you are not within a good walking distance to restaurants or shops, although cooking facilities are contained within each unit.
had a good time
A wonderful holiday - motel is just rather dated, and tired looking. But location made up for it, and really, it had a bed, tiny kitchen, shower - all that we needed !
The view is amazing, the location is great, very convenient to the historic precinct, the rooms are a bit dated and the shower was not very good but overall it was a good place to stay.
Will recommend Panorama Apartment to friends.
Norfolk is a great historical island and we really enjoyed our stay but not the sort of place you would want to keep going back. Thank you for your Travel Online service, I'm sure we will use you again. Alan Webb
Unit is in a great location, close to the stunning Emily Bay and only a few ks from town. Some work is required. The bathroom although small has been updated. No bbq either, would have been good to have onsite. Washing machine is available for guests.
A
The accommodation was OK, Kitchen cupboards need replacing. Bathroom has been replaced and very good. Enough room and comfortable for the amount of time you spend in them
Brett was super helpful throughout my stay, gorgeous views from my room. Definitely need to hire a car as too far to walk to town.
difficult to fault this location. Close to the main beach (but then everywhere on Norfolk is close to everywhere else), ocean views, spacious balcony, basic but supplied everything we needed for a relaxing holiday
Had a great time to learn about the history - tour operators had really good knowledge and very friendly. Accommodation was a bit old, needs a new mattress. Views were amazing. Glad that we were able to experience the Island as very unique.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Panorama Seaside Apartments. Brett was a friendly and affable host and we adored our little hire car. It's too far away from Burnt Pine to walk but that's ok because the serenity, views and proximity to Kingston and our little car overcame all that. Highly recommended!
Walking access to Kingston. With car easy access to all places.
Beautiful location just out of Kingston over looking Convict Colony, Philip & Neapan Islands.Self contained units, neat tidy & clean Hire car included in our accommodation package 5 mins to anywhere. .Definitely stay here again
Location good, close to Kingston and town although a car was needed. Very comfortable bed and milk, tea etc for when we arrived. Library with plenty of books and magazines was a bonus. Enjoyed all of the seafood we ate and our time at the cinema. Emily Bay lovely and a good swimming beach. Cockroaches annoying.History of the island interesting and the museums are well worth a visit. Considering staying here again.
Very quiet and peaceful place to chill out.
Lovely place overlooking Kingston and the old penal colony. Self contained and it was easy to prepare your own meals or a short drive into town to dine out. Loved the free roaming cows and chickens. It made a real difference to my usual city living. I will definitely return.
A bit out from main town but good facilities.
We stayed a week at Panaroma and were privileged to have Unit 2 which had the most amazing views over Kingston. The view was sensational, the unit was clean and the owner was very helpful. On the day we were to leave, (3:30pm flight), the owner offered that we could stay past the10am check-out as no-one was coming into our unit on that day! That was wonderful!
The property is ready for a make over and a mid week service should be included with a weekly rental.
Quite comfortable, beds a little worse for wear. Friendly staff. Awesome view. No food but self contained units. A little weather worn. Great for the price (pay for 4, stay for 7)
Our unit was acceptable although toilet/washroom door would not close, requires some urgent carpentry attention.
The stairway down to garbage bins needs a handrail.
Location fantastic for beautiful scenery. Hire car a necessity. Rooms were large and sufficiently furnished. If a light sleeper roosters crowing and cows mooing wake you up at 5am.
We were disappointed because when we arrived we were told that our one week stay involved us moving from one apartment to another mid week. Whilst this was not hugely a problem it did mean we felt that we were in limbo as far as unpacking etc. The owner did provide us with a bottle of wine acknowledging the problem but it was certainly not what we had expected. Had we have been told beforehand I am sure that we would still have elected to stay there.
Would stay again if I got the same room other rooms we looked at quite small
Great spot with views over historic Kingston
We got a free upgrade to unit 2 with views over sea and Philip island
Units come with a car (you need one on Norfolk!) for $20 insurance a day
Incredible views and beautifully quiet and peaceful. Apartment was a generous size with bedrooms and living space.
Older establishment in a great scenic location, but can be windy. Two rooms do not have a balcony but have the best sea views. Not all rooms have a view of the ocean. Property description is not clear to define.
We were very impressed with the help given to us on our stay, and even though not 5 star, the rooms were very clean and comfortable - the position with ocean views was terrific.
Overall the holiday was relaxing as there is not much to do on Norfolk Island. The accommodation was basic but suited our needs
Accommodation a bit tired needs some maintenance. If not for free nights it would be overpriced. The view of ocean would be one of best on Island
We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit on the ground floor. They are situated on the southern side of the island looking out towards Phillip and Nepean Islands and a short drive to Kingston pier and a safe swimming beach. No shopping or eateries at Kingston. Kingston is a heritage area with lots of museums. Apartments were also a short drive away from Burnt Pine the only town on the island. The people are very friendly and tourism related activities are the mainstay for the island. The apartments, or at least our apartment was in need of maintenance but was ok in that the beds were comfortable and the water hot and the view fabulous.
We had best view on the Island. Room was tired but clean. As it rained five out of seven days we struggled to get clothes dry as they had no dryer. When walked through the passage way it smelt musty and the grounds were very uneven cement broken up a bit dangerous. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and so glad we had the apartment we had. The apartment was a self catering one as we requested.
An older place with all units fully self contained and with spectacular views of Old Kingston convict settlement and adjoining islands. The owner, Brett Martin, is very personable and willing to help with anything. We have stayed there previously and would not hestitate to stay there again. It is located outside Burnt Pine (short but beautiful drive - about 10 mins bearing in mind max speed limit of 50kmphr).
Very friendly and helpful manager. Brilliant view and location.
