Homely hospitality!
Tima's hospitality makes the Cumberland experience!
The resorts exterior is in need of some TLC, however understand the island is experiencing an extended drought and this has a ripple effect on resources etc. Additionally, to update/renovate anything on the island you are also reliant on bringing in supplies and material and with that freight charges.
Nevertheless, our 1 Bedroom self contained unit was pleasant, homely and comfortable.
Location is great, just on the edge of town and the hire car was modern and economical.
We loved our NI experience, exploring the island, tours, swimming and downtime in our unit (son loved that he could still connect with the digital world and use wifi (unlimited at the resort, it did drop out a few times, but hey remote island and all) we also got to experience a slower pace of life, disconnect at times and enjoy island time/life).
You need to remember you are on a small 34km² island that has significantly expensive freight costs, there is a small population, limited resources, and its an opportunity to experience a unique encounter/adventure. Overall we were happy with our stay at Cumberland and would stay again!

Great holiday
Everyone should do Norfolk Island its fantastic, do little or lot like we did with Baunti tours. Great. We wereucky & got the house to stay in , great place. Loved our holiday and will be back to stay at the White House with family.
Will do it all again.
Cyclorama is must , as is the Baunti fish fry. Excellent.

Stay at Cumberland.
From the moment we arrived Tima looked after us. From our rooms being upgraded to our quick car hire processing. Loved everything about Cumberland Resort and Spa.
