Centara Karon has accomodation for everyone. Offering family, couples and individuals a great range and variety of accomodation and food options. The 3 separated areas and pools and expansive gardens and grounds add to the charm of the resort. Can't wait to see the refurbishment.
This is the second time we have stayed here…….the first time we stayed was in 2018 and we took our 3 children…….this time in 2023 it was just hubby and I. It is a great hotel, friendly and welcoming staff…..anywhere you go within the hotel from front desk, restaurants, pool and housekeeping. Where the hotel is located is a fantastic position as you are close to beach, market, restaurants, everything is more or less at your doorstep. Highly recommended for either families or couples. Thanks for having us and making our stay wonderful, can't wait to plan another trip ☺️
This is our second time staying at Centara Karon as much as we like it we asked for an upgrade and it was no trouble at all we had Lagoon room 2nd floor with pool view,we were told that they are renovating the resort I think that it definitely needs it so looking forward to future stays thanks to all the staff in all areas for their friendly hospitality and services breakfasts we're amazing

We enjoyed our time in Thailand and Centara Karon Beach Resort is a great place to stay from relaxing by one of the pools to exploring the many things to do around Thailand. We had a great family holiday.
Centara Karon Resort. This was our 4th stay and it remains a beautiful resort with attentive staff who go above and beyond for their guests. The resort is smack in the centre of Karon and within easy walking distance to everything, makers shops restaurants beach and tour shops and massage right on the doorstep. Resort rooms are looking a little tired but the resort is planning on a full makeover. They are closing from mid July for 12 months to do a complete refurbish. We will definitely be back when they reopen in 2024
Centara Karon is a great place to stay with excellent friendly smiling service, got upgraded to another room with nil problems, daily servicing rooms, reception staff great for sorting out any issues and language barriers, food was fantastic and good prices. Close enough to beach and shops and dining but far enough away not to hear too much noise from bars ect nearby. overall a relaxing enjoyable stay.

The location of the hotel was great. The breakfast was amazing. Staff were friendly. The tour desk at the hotel was terrible and couldn't assist, didn't even have a map of the island.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Muay Thai boxing instructors (Korn and Aon). Great location - walk to beach and local shops, short tuk tuk ride to Patong
Post COVID so understandable that works are being done. Not all the resort was open but our stay was still enjoyable. Staff are great and food on site is tasty and delicious. Some updates needed but still generally clean and comfortable.

Great breaky, will come again
First trip since covid and the Centara lived up to our previous visits. The service provided by the happy smiling staff was faultless. The rooms are clean and well maintained and nothing was ever too much trouble. Food was fresh, well presented and tasty. Although a lot of businesses around Karon have closed due to covid, there are still plenty of restaurants, bars, small supermarkets and market stalls to cater to all our needs. Fingers crossed that with more tourists, Karon will return to its former busy, happy welcoming town.
Great central location with friendly staff, wonderful air conditioned rooms and a great restaurant. The room we chose had it own spa pool and this was awesome. As an fyi don't get your dry cleaning don't in the hotel as they are considerably more expensive than the local lady around the corner. Thailand is awesome and this is a great place to rest up after a fun days outing.
In spite of the hardships due to Covid the friendly welcome and smiles has not faded from the Thai people at all. The Centara staff was very helpful in every way they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We were surprised by the warm welcome received from one of the staff members who recognized us from our post Covid stay at Centara. The room was clean and cozy, the breakfast spread was lovely and the BBQ night had a band playing music and entertainment.
I recommend this hotel for couples to relax as well as families with young children. It is situated at a very convenient place ten minutes walk to the beach close to variety of restaurants, supermarkets, transport and much more. Thank you Centara staff for making it a enjoyable stay for us.
We have been staying at Centara for many years, the resort & Karon is still in recovery mode since covid.
Centara is one of the main life lines of Karon and when Centara gets closer to opening up fully so will Karon.
The resort is perfectly placed in Karon for visitors to walk to restaurants, shops the markets, bars & the beach.
My wife & I happily recommend Centara to anyone wishing to go to Phuket.

Staff were friendly and genuinely wanted the guests to have a great experience. The Resort had only recently partially reopened after covid with a lot of room refurbishment still being undertaken, only Azure Restaurant and 2 pools open. Also a lot of new staff were being trained and will improve with time. Prices were OK and a lot of business close by are now also open. The location of the Resort could not be better. We will definitely return.
Loved our stay there as hotel was clean and very well located. We took the upgrade to a 2 bedroom cabana and would do so again as loved the space it offered. Great service and everyone was so helpful. Enjoyed the entertainment there and met some great people that worked there. Loved the pool areas and the breakfast options were plentiful. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back in the future.
We had a great family holiday at the Centara Karon Resort Phuket. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the entertainment staff were fantastic. The restaurants were excellent and the buffet breakfast was amazing.I highly recommend this resort.

We just got back from Centara Karon Resort, was seriously the most amazing holiday and beautiful resort.
The staff are so friendly, it’s in a perfect position, 5 min walk to beach, shops and markets close.
Highly recommend Pineapple Massages, we were there every few days, best massages.
Also recommend getting the free money at hotel, you need to do this within 24hours of check in. So you can enjoy extra food and snacks and drinks by the amazing pool!
Recommend getting the roast night at resort so good!!!! The food at the resort is so good and breakfast is prefect, lots to choose from.
Our two young boys loved the waterslides they never got sick of them! The entertainment staff Tin, Joe and Mei wow!!!! Most amazing 3 people, you can just tell they love there job and happy to be there and alway smiling and laughing and so good with all the kids!! My boys loved them as did we!

Top location that offers good access to everything you want in Phuket - beach, markets, night life, tourist attractions, massages, tailors ... the lot.
Grounds and pool areas suburb. Breakfast and dinners great. Rooms a little dated and not enormous by comparison to other resorts, but on balance still great value for money when you book the package through Travelonline like we did.

We've been coming back and staying at Centara Karon now for nearly 10 years. The rooms could probably do with a bit of TLC and some of the electrical equipment needs updating. The only other thing would be that the mattresses are a bit on the hard side but overall our stay was pretty comfortable and the staff are very helpful and polite.
Fantastic location with 3 swimming pools, buffet breakfast had plenty of delicious food to choose from. If i was to knock anything it would be the prices of drinks at the pool bars are a bit expensive and you can't use the Baht Bonanza at happy hour but that's probably a good thing ;-)

It's my second time staying at Centara and I can't fault it. First time was a family holiday, this time a couples stay. I love the location, the most incredible buffet breakfast, and the service of the staff is incredible.

My family and I spent a wonderful 10 nights at this resort in a deluxe at the lagoon pool room - this suited us well and was all we needed. The resort is in great condition and staff are always smiling and helpful. The entertainment crew, Carpe Diem were also great in entertaining the kids with some fun activities.

Just returned from a 9 night stay at Centara. We booked a Cabana which was wonderful. Staff where amazing, friendly, tentative and professional. Location was great close by to plenty of restaurants and shopping. Also recommend the very first restaurant just out of the resort at Hotel de Karon food was fresh staff where tentative, don't let the lack of people fool you. It is good value for money. We are there almost daily.

This resort is brilliant for seeing a less busy side of Phuket. With plenty to do at the resort and surrounds, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The kids pool was a great hit for the whole family and the rooms were very comfortable with it opening out to the pool. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff were always on hand and welcoming. We can’t wait to stay again!
2nd visit to this amazing country and beautiful resort. The staff are always smiling and nothing is too much to ask of them. The resort is in a perfect position, right on the doorstep of markets, shopping and amazing restaurants and bars but still quiet and safe. The beach is a pleasant 5 min walk but really, if you don’t want to, you never have to leave the resort. There are 3 beautifully kept pools and 2 restaurants at the resort. The rooms are getting a bit tired but still have everything you need-and are cleaned and restocked daily. I will definitely be back.
It’s hard to find great accomodation when you’re a family of 6 but Centara Karon was perfect. We had big interconnecting rooms right near the kids pool. Breakfast was amazing. The staff were just so wonderful and friendly. The location was great, so many restaurants just outside the resort. The only downside was 10 days was just not long enough! We can’t wait to go back
The resort is in a good central location so you can easily walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The staff were really lovely and helpful. The breakfast buffet was really good and had alot of food choices. The pools were lovely and it was good to have one adults only, one mixed and one for smaller children. It would be good if the pool happy hours were extended as you're not always there between 4-5pm and cocktails can add up at normal prices. They have a great little burger caravan at the entrance of resort. We stayed in a ocean view room which had a small balcony and you could see the ocean above the roof tops. My partner still loved it as he used to sit out there at night and listen to the music from outside. Was well sound proofed inside. Huge big comfy super king bed. Apparently the decide in rooms is going to be updated sometime in the future which will be good. The only complaint would be was the shower would run hot and cold which is a bit dangerous. Overall, we enjoyed the resort and so did others we spoke to.

Local restaurants are priced well and delicious, we took advantage of the local massages, and night markets were exciting.

We found the staff at Centara unbelievably helpful. Any question we had they could support. The service at breakfast each day was wonderful as well as at the pool. A great place to stay. Very safe area too.

This was our second trip back to Centara Karon in 9 months. The staff are amazing: friendly, courteous and will do anything to help. The food is fantastic with a great variety at breakfast. There are 3 pools to suit all. But the best thing is the location! There are restaurants, bars, shopping and the beach right on the doorstep. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Thailand!

Very friendly and polite staff. The property was much bigger than we expect, clean and well maintained. Wish the breakfast had more varity, after the first few days it gets boring.
Even though we didn't have kids with us, we saw the staff taking lot of effort to entertain the kids.
All sorts of restaurants, shops and family Mart is two minutes away. Beach is few minutes away as well.
Very happy with our stay and will be back again next year for sure.

Very conveniently located resort - close to restaurants, beach and local shops. While the Karon Beach area has plenty of restaurants and nightlife, we found it a much more pleasant place to stay than Patong with its over-the-top excesses, particularly Bangla Road. Without exception, the resort staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. In fact the warmth and friendliness of the staff was a highlight of our visit. There was a very comprehensive range of choices at the breakfast buffet, catering for many cultures. The bed room was large and clean. The "adults only" swimming pool and swim-up bar were appreciated. There is a free shuttle to old Phuket Town if it is necessary to do department store shopping. Alternatively a taxi to Jungceylon in Patong costs only 200 baht.

For a family of 4 this resort was value for money and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The pools and pool bars were a highlight! The kids loved the Muay Thai boxing class and kids club. It is close to restaurants, pharmacy, bars, beach and shops. We will definitely stay here again!

Could not have been happier with this resort. Although the rooms were quite outdated they were clean.
The pools were great especially the family pool with the water slides and caves. Had my two kids (5,2.5) busy for hours.
The entertainers were great with the kids and most of them were very interactive.

When we checked in to the hotel it was a shame management didn't inform us about their bonanza deal. I know it was signed but you don't read everything upon check in after a long journey.
The food variety options were excellent.
Breakfast each day was perfect.....cannot fault.
At your bars you charge too much for cocktails.
Happy hour was fun but really too much sugar syrup in the drinks.

This resort is fantastic, especially for families!!! We stayed in the Premium Delux at Tropicale with our two children aged 11 and 7. The staff are extremely helpful, polite and nothing is to much trouble for them. The pools are fantastic and so is the buffet breakfast which has a large amount of Thai and Western food. Fantastic location, plenty of shopping and restaurants right at your door step but secluded enough to relax. We took part in the cooking class while there as well and would highly recommend doing this if you can, it was one of our favorite parts of the holiday. Will definitely be coming back to this resort and highly recommend for anyone else travelling

Pools were beautiful and clean with plenty of seating around for everyone.
Asked to change to a downstairs room as had trouble with stairs and it was no problem and no extra cost. Staff so helpful and housekeeping excellent, food at hotel was very good except for Thai banquet which was terrible and disappointing, grounds kept very well, lots of families go as great for kids but still good for couples. Carpe Diem team were wonderful and not just for kids, they were so friendly and fun. We had a great stay and Travelonline great to deal with, we look forward to another holiday next year

Enjoyed every bit of it. Being a family of five (with three kids 14,12,9) it was a great holiday. Location was great with walking distance to a wide range of places to eat etc. Resort itself provided excellent service, offering wonderful tours which we thoroughly enjoyed. We have every intention of returning back to Centara Karon Resort Phuket in the near future (most likely within 18mths).

We really enjoyed our stay at Centara Karon Resort. The service was excellent- all staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was simple but neat and clean, containing everything we needed. We loved the pools and the entertainment in the resort. All restaurants provided delicious meal options both western and Thai. The resort is close to the beach and lots of restaurants. We highly recommend this resort to families with children.
The resort itself is very clean and tidy, pools are fantastic, dining is fantastic, it’s in a great spot with markets and eaters around it . Couple of minutes walk to the beach. We stayed in the terrace rooms that over looked the markets, not great to sit on the balcony, when it rained the balcony got very wet. Room is ok, massive double bed, and very comfortable, the room is a little tired looking , but was clean and well serviced

Right in the centre of Karon. Walking distance to all the bars, restaurants, markets, street food and vendors and the beautiful beach. Rooms were simple, kept clean and had everything you could need. The food in the restaurants at the resort was good with plenty of variation. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. Staff were smiling and friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. The staff speak quite good English and were easy to communicate with. The pools at the resort were clean and the swim up bars were pleasant to sit at for an afternoon drink in the heat. We also used their tour d sky to book a taxi and they were very helpful although a little more expensive than a Tuk Tuk or street taxi but they did wait for us for 2 hours when we visited Tiger Kingdom and the wait was included in the taxi price. We had a wonderful holiday and will go back to Centara Resort again.

Our family of 5 loved our stay, we had two interconnecting ground floor rooms around the lagoon pool. Would highly recommend these rooms, you are about 10 steps from the pool.
Lots of choice at the buffet breakfast. We ate at the resort a fair bit and also walked to the many restaurants outside the resort. Staff were helpful with any requests.
We requested a ground floor room as my husband is in a wheelchair. We were given a lovely room overlooking the pool; however there were three large steps which impeded wheel chair access.

Everything was great with friendly staff and good service. The only exception was Pete at the Pool Bar - he was rude and very unfriendly and was more interested in collecting used glasses than in serving patrons.

Centara Karon resort is the perfect location, space, pools, children’s entertainment and proximity to restaurants, beach and shopping. Close enough to taxi or tuktuk to Patong. We lived our stay and would definitely return for another relaxing family holiday.

Great location and resort.
This was our first family holiday to Phuket and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots to do and see should you choose but the resort was nice enough not to leave. Kids had a ball in the pool with 2x waterslides, food was great at the hotel and many many options nearby.
It was easy to get to places, very central. Able to have a quiet night or choose to see some of the night life. Recommend going to their excursion advisors to book, Dez was very helpful when choosing the right company to go with.
Good facilities and tranquil gardens in a central location of Karon Beach with eating/shopping options close by. Great to retreat back into the resort after the busy street scene. Resort restaurant meals and deals too expensive compered to whats on offer at local restaurants, ate out every night as a result. Pools & water-slides good for kids with an adults only pool to escape the noise. Annoyed and frustrated the resort would not guarantee interconnecting rooms during booking process prior to arrival, unnecessary anxiety with not knowing if young kids would be separated from us. Staff always pleasant, courteous and responsive. Overall relaxing stay.

The kids club staff were fantastic. The kids had a great time (as did we) playing games and having fun. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have enjoyed our holiday as much as we did. I would highly recommend Centara for families. The rooms are spacious enough and the pools are great. The beach is just down the street and you are close to restaurants and bars.
It was a lovely resort inside and out. The gardens were just beautiful and well maintained. It is located just a short walk to the beach. Shops and food are also right on your doorstep great location. Very happy customers here and would definitely stay here again.
We recently stayed for a week here and loved it. The kids club was a real let down and the rooms were a little worn but other than that it was great!
Location was good we would prefer to be on beach - but we knew we weren't - very convenient to shops, bars, travel bookings
Firstly two things need to be understood. This is not a brand new 5 star resort so don’t expect that. Secondly, this is a big establishment so like anywhere else in the world food and drink are going to be more expensive inside the resort than with street side vendors, cafes, etc. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The entertainment staff, Carpe Diem team, were outstanding. Rooms were great but showing signs of wear and tear but these are cosmetic only. So close to the main part of Karon only. 5 minutes to beach and a plethora of shops and restaurants. Great for families!!

It was our first time to Phuket and the Crntara Karon made it so easy. The resort is fantastic for both couples or families. The room was large and comfortable. Both restaurants provided great selections of both western and Thai food. 3 hours of happy hour at the swim up

Included in our holiday was transport to and from the airport. Although it's over an hours ride with loads of traffic it was great to start the holiday without the thought of how am i getting to the hotel. Great hotel with three pools to choose from. We used the adults only one, beautiful and quiet, with a reasonably priced happy hour pool bar. Breakfast great with a good selection. For other meals always ate out
Had an amazing time staying here at this beautiful resort with my family. The children loved every moment spent here especially in the kids pool. Outside the resort they have lots of places to eat and dine in which we basically did every night as its always cheaper to eat out than at the resort. Room service was amazing and the staff were just as lovely too

Centara Karon Resort is the perfect getaway for families. Having travelled extensively we found this property to provide both entertainment and activities for the children as well as peace and relaxation for us the parents. On top of this it only a short walk to the beach and markets and a short journey to Patong Beach if wanted.
I definitely recommend for families and have already recommended to many of mine.
We had a great stay here, our first time in a big resort in Thailand and found ourselves surrounded by Aussies. Everything at the resort was wonderful. While at times it didn't seem like you were in Thailand, a short walk down the street to amazing Thai food, local bustle, and cheap massages reminded us why we love this country.
Our third time nothing is every a problem..... Sorn at reception every so professional but also treated us like family.... our cabana was great definitely returning !!!

Our second trip to Centara Karon, never disappointing. Relaxed atmosphere, plenty of activities and location is exceptional. All amenities around you and a short walk to beach, restaurants, shops. Will come again.
everything was just great especially the staff from housekeeping, front counter to dining room staff, all were great.
Location is perfect. So quiet. Stairs were initially an issue, but after 8 days I was running up them!

We had a great time at this resort. The resort itself is maybe a little tired/rundown in areas. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The kids entertainers were great and friendly although they didn't cater for kids in our party age group (6-11) - it was aimed at smaller/younger children. The 3 swimming pools were all great although some of the loungers and towels were old (had holes in towels and chairs worn/broken). I suffer from coeliac and the staff were helpful in providing gluten free bread every breakfast which was great. Happy hour every day from 3-6 was excellent but only in the pool bars which I think needs to be for any bar in the resort. The location was great and overall we had a lovely family holiday with our friends.
Found the facilities including pools great but rooms were a little tired and although serviced everyday they were not swept out very well. Breakfast was always great as were their lunch and dinner choices, although we mainly explored the town and ate out at the huge selection of dining options available only a short walking distance from resort.
This is my second visit here and a great place for a break with a great range of restaurants, bars and stalls all well priced. The hotel is good, clean and a haven from the hustle and bustle with the buffet breakfast a great way to start the day.
Excellent location close to restaurants, massages, bars and laundry services. We stayed in the Cabana room which had our own private pool. Pool area was very nice and cleaned daily. The room was out dated and needs to be spruced up. Staff were lovely. Pools were great.
This is a great place to stay for families and couples. Set back from the crowds, yet very safe and within walking distance to restaurants and entertainment.

Our third stay at this hotel,twice with grandchildren and this time just the 2 oldies. We had the breakfast deal included which was great and plenty of local restaurants for a great variety of local foods. we appreciated the adults only pool(1 of the 3 pools on the grounds) and the staff were so polite and respectful. Karon is the better location for younger families but the roads are rough and very little footpaths for strollers. Centara karon is ideally located as some hotels are up hills and distant from restaurants.

This resort has it all. It's great for families and couples. There's a separate pool for adults and the recreation team are fantastic for the kids, not to mention the kids pool! The food and service was great too and not too overpriced like some resorts. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff if you had special requests. The resort itself is at the end of a lane way which leads out into the busy streets where there is an abundance of shops, restaurants and nightlife. We came as a couple to celebrate our anniversary and are already trying to plan our next visit here. Would recommend this Resort to everyone. Stay in the Lagoon rooms for pool acces for the kids and The Terraces for adults only. The Tropicale rooms are a mix for everyone and probably great with families and older teenage kids. Excellent location and not too busy like Patong.
Happy, Helpful and very polite staff. Stayed in the Deluxe Lagoon accomodation. Was very comfortable, clean spacious rooms with a balcony. Plenty of activities for my three kids aged 11 to 17. Gardens and grounds were immaculate we loved walking around them everyday. Would definitely stay here again

Everything about it was good, including the breakfast, swimming pool, friendly staff.
The only thing maybe was the room was a little old and run down, just needs some money spent on it to get it up to scratch, but the size is quite big.
Location is fantastic and we'd happily stay there again.
My family absolutely enjoyed our stay at Centara Karon. It's a 5 min walk across a busy road to get to the beach.
The breakfast buffet was well cooked and there was a huge selection of foods.
The hotel grounds and facilities are lovely with a kids pool and adults only pool. The kids pool was a bit crowded at times.
There are lots of restaurants, bars and shops just outside the hotel which was great for variety.

The resort was great for us with our 4 kids, had plenty of kids and parents activities to do each day or if just wanted to relax for the day it was great. Something on each night if you wanted to attend. Meet different families from all over the world and had a great time. We had 2 rooms on the ground floor right near the pool and bar, so this was a great location for us. The staff was very friendly.
There was no consideration that the fact that we had a 1 year old.
We were located on the 2nd floor of a building with no elevator and the crib provided was dangerous. It didn't lock so the baby could fall out! The manager on the 2nd day moved us and changed the crib, however the staff when checking in were poor and unable to help us.

We had a great time at this resort, great location only minutes to the beach. Great shopping around the resort area and always felt safe. The staff at the resort were very helpful and friendly. Resort facilities were awesome, the room was clean however a little dated.

We were upgraded to a wonderful room due to the fact upon checking in staff found out we had stayed previously with Centara we couldn't fault service bed turned down nightly beautiful fruit left in our room each day.
Great hotel, excellent service & food was spectacular. Very close to everything & heaps of local eating spots with goodcfood. It would have had 5 stars if it had cable TV. Unfortunately Karon beach is not one of the cleaneat or good for swimming. Todd's massage shop in tjexlane outside had the best massages & service around.

Great accommodation for young families with an excellent kids pool. Close to restaurants although they were very similar.
Our family of 7 stayed at Centara Karon the end of September 2016 for 11 nights and we could not fault it.
There are heaps of things to do, especially for kids (any age). Our kids are aged 15 years to 16 months and we never heard "I'm bored" once our whole trip. There are 3 pools, play ground, teen games room with play station, table tennis, pool table, gym and heaps more.
The Carp Diem Team always have some activity going and get everyone involved. The whole team are lovely, our kids particularly liked Petra.
Yes it can be noisy, but lets face it if you wanted quiet and peaceful; you don't choose a resort with a slide. The noise did not bother us at all. Our room was ground floor right next to the Lagoon pool (the one with the slide) and our baby still had a 2 hour sleep everyday.
The service and support staff were great too. Our air conditioner stopped working but someone was there within minutes to fix it. The room was cleaned and made up everyday. There was a huge selection of food at the buffet breakfast every morning.The grounds are neat and tidy. Rooms were nice and spacious. What more could you ask for?
The resort is in a great location. Walk outside of the resort and you experience the real Thailand.
Lots of street vendors selling a variety of things, close by bars and restaurants. There are also lots of places for massages just outside the resort too.
Karon is great because it is not as busy as Patong and there is still just as much to do. You can still get just about anywhere in a taxi or Tuktuk.
Tips for restaurants in Karon: Red Onion - (around the corner from Centara) doesn't look like much but the food is cheap and delicious.
Red Lobster- (opposite the beach) a bit more modern than the red onion, but again cheap and delicious.
What an awesome resort!!! Loved everything about it; the location, the rooms (Cabana Room was worth the extra), the food, the staff. Could not fault it at all. Breakfast was the best I've ever had in any hotel ever, variety was unbelievable. Pools were excellent and catered for families and quieter pools for adults. Lovely hotel grounds. The baht bonanza is well worth doing, we ate at the resort for lunch or dinner both every day and this made it very affordable. You have to have banana Nutella pancakes from the carts outside they are amazing . Excellent shopping right outside the resort.
We will definitely be back.
Centura Karon Beach was a great place to stay. From the moment I arrived and was greeted by the cheerful and efficient front desk staff to my clean and comfortable seaview room at the Terraces I was in holiday mode! Breakfast was delicious with a huge selection. The resort was so large I took my map to find my way around! The 3 pools were great and always clean. It was a 2 min walk to the shops and cafes of Karen and a short stroll to the beach. Highly recommend Centara Karon Beach!

We have stayed at the centara Karon twice now and on both stays the staff, food, value for money have all been excellent. The resort is undergoing continual upgrades which is pleasing to see.
Simply can't fault this hotel, the staff amenities are faultless. The only thing they need to sort out is the prices as they don't show vat and also service fees.
2nd time at this resort and still just as good as first time around. I recommend families purchase the Baht Bonanza deal you can't go wrong. Will be back for a 3rd visit thank you Centara Karon.

Bit of a disaster when we 1st arrived as they didnt have the rooms we have booked. Took 2 days to get it sorted - but once it was - the holiday was fab. Change of owners probably didnt help! Great pool, helpful staff and the locals are wonderful - Oasis Bar and Apple Massage. Tours were brilliant - Riding the elephant - major highlight

This was a brilliant location for our break - nice pools, grounds etc. Petra, Mia and Leon were an absolute treat providing entertainment for the kids and adults and ensuring everyone had an enjoyable time. Rooms were clean and serviced daily and the buffet breakfast provided a terrific range of options to start the day. I would thoroughly recommend the Centara Karon Resort (we will be back!) to friends as a great place to stay and very good value for money.
One very small issue was when we checked out, we didn't hand in our pool towel vouchers as the process of exchanging pool towels and vouchers changed from day to day (sometimes you needed a voucher, sometimes you didn't) and when we handed 3 towels back but didn't get vouchers in return, they were going to charge us for the pool towels when we checked out - they didn't end up charging us, but they do need to tighten the process but this in no way diminished our thorough enjoyment of staying here.
After a poor beginning, where our room was not ready on arrival, they offered us a so called upgrade, which was at the back of the resort, nowhere near the lagoon which we had booked. After 3 different offers of available rooms all of which were not suitable, we finally got into our room after 7pm. Very dissapointing considering we had booked back in January. Ther than that though the resort was great, was in a good location, staff were great. Would definitely recommend to couples and families.

We loved every minute of our holiday at Centara Resort Karon. Everyone working at the resort were so lovely. The 3 pools were beauitful, my kids loved the slides. The rooms were clean. The food was also lovely. We will definetly be returning.
Just great loved everything about the resort
We loved this place. We were on holiday with our 5 young children and Centara Karon Resort was the best option. Our only disappointment was having to pay extra for a ground floor room on arrival. We had requested ground floor and interconnecting rooms. We were given neither option. We ended up with one room on the 2nd floor and one room on the ground floor after paying more. Not the best set up if you need both rooms. We ended up all sleeping in just the one room. Apart from that we has a great stay and will return.

Ideal family resort located in the heart of karon, a town that offers everything you need 15 minutes south of Patong, without all the extremities of Patong!!

Really enjoyed our stay in Centara Karon Resort Phuket. The resort is absolutely beautiful with sensational gardens, fantastic restaurant (beautiful food) and excellent facilities. The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional.
The only constructive criticism we could make is that the shower in our room was pretty tired and the timing of the room cleaning was confusing - it would be helpful to know when we needed to vacate our room.
A great hotel, lovely staff, good pool facilities. We originally got upgraded to a honeymoon suite but that was in the main part of the hotel and was very noisy at night. After the first night we changed to our original booking which was tropicale and the room was super quiet.
2nd time back at this resort and still a great place to stay!
Front desk & entertainment staff members remembered us from a year ago and welcomed us with smiles!
As per another guests remark, it's a great resort for socialising around the kids pool - another resort in the area they stayed was too quiet for their liking (no atmosphere) and too quiet for the kids. The slide pool has plenty of activity.

This is an amazing resort, it caters for families, couples (young and old) and everybody in between. The pool areas are beautiful, the rooms are very good too. This resort alone made our holiday more than great, amazing! Will stay here again.

We have stayed at Centara many times. This year with some of our family. Once again we could not fault the service. We were had our room upgraded as we were return guests. although we had been advised previously we did miss the lagoon pool especially as we had our granddaughter with us. But looking forward to next year when it will be better than ever. A great shout out to the children's entertainers, Mia, Veronica, Leon and Drago.
Great value resort. Staff very helpful but pool bar service pretty erratic. Good breakfast choices. Located in the centre of Karon so plenty of shops and restaurants around. Spa good but pricey. Only real issue for us was that there was not enough to entertain the kids on rainy days which wouldn't normally be a problem but we had lots of really rainy days so became a bit of a pain in the end. Kids club is good but suited really to under 4s. Restaurant food is ok but plenty of cheaper and better options near by. Lagoon pool would be great for families but was out of action for renovations when we stayed. I'd recommend for families once that gets sorted out. Cabana rooms are really nice and spacious

The hotel is doing some renovations and upgraded our room to a pool cabana room which was fantastic . No issues with the room size at all, air conditioner worked well, only a few hiccups with the toilet blocking up a few times which was promptly fixed. Breakfast food was ok, dining was ok, service and staff were fantastic during our 9 days at the resort.
Lots to like about this hotel. Facilities, service, location, cleanliness, all terrific! Special mention to Aoy in the spa- this lady is amazing, friendly, professional and absolutely delightful. Kanuun in reception always has a smile and is excellent and very professional. Would stay there again.
Everything you could ask for were at your fingertips but hotel looking a bit tired. The air con worked but leaked 2 days out of 6days second day they couldn't fix it after third attempt so had to move rooms. But appart from that everything was ok. Breakfast was good.
Value for money, excellent meals regardless of what type of dining you choose. Some of the best hospitality staff I have ever come across whilst travelling. I recommend you take up the resorts offer of buying 10000 baht & receiving 15000 baht to spend within the resort at all dining & bar areas it makes their prices competitive.

The cabana rooms are excellent. Overall the resort is good in a reasonably quiet location but still very convenient to the major attractions of Phuket. Would stay here again.
We went to Phuket to have a nice relaxing holiday which we had. The resort is under going construction at the moment and it was so loud with workers, machines etc that we had to ask to move our room. They have erected a huge big green tin fence right around the construction site which is around the heart of the resort. The resort lost all atmosphere once that happened. It was quite dark and dreary. The first room we had was quite shabby with old furniture and dirty linen. The balcony was dirty with broken balustrading and tiles. The second room was a lot better. We had a lovely garden out side our room with a nice balcony to sit outside. The roomed seemed bigger and was a lot cleaner. We couldn't hear the noise inside our room but from the balcony and in the pool it was very loud. We were situated in the Tropical Rooms and spent most of our time around the Tropix Pool. The food was nice and the staff were also very nice. The gardens were lovely. We also had a massage in the Spa which was also really good. It was just a shame about the noise and mess from the construction site which was awful.
I have stayed at Centara Karon Resort 5 times now and it never disappoints!
A great atmosphere, with lots of great restaurants, from great local cuisine at great value, but also some great western style restaurants and plenty for those with more expensive tastes as well.
Plenty of activities provided at the hotel for those with children, and the staff are amazing.
Close enough to Patong to be part of the action, but far enough away to be a bit more relaxing, and the surrounding scenic areas are fabulous.
Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a great holiday :)
We love this resort. The staff are fantastic, rooms in Tropicale are clean and spacious and the dining options are great. We will definitely return to this resort in the future. Renovations are happening at the moment but not noisy from the rooms. Thanks for another great stay Centara Karon.
There were issues with check-in as reception wanted to "upgrade" our rooms to rooms that were in no way an upgrade. One of our group's rooms was unavailable and they had no choice but to take the "upgrade". We had requested adjoining rooms and they were not only, not adjoining they were on different floors (not particularly helpful when we booked the two rooms so our six year old could sleep in one). After a long flight spending an hour trying to negotiate with reception just to get what we had paid for seemed unfair. Especially as we had booked four months in advance and had booked four rooms for our group of 7 people.
The terrace rooms and the pool cabanas were nice the other room types are in need of an update.
The three pools were nice, especially the kids pool which my son loved. Breakfast was nice also.
The Carpe Diem entertainment team were the highlight, you could see they were committed to customer service and were a great, light hearted addition to the resort.
The best thing about the resort was the location, Karon beach is much quieter and there were great restaurants within a few minutes walk from the resort.
As long as you stay in the terrace rooms or the pool cabana, insist on having the room type you booked and be prepared that it may not be available, don't expect interconnecting rooms to be provided and are happy with a 3.5 - 4 star resort experience you will enjoy this family oriented resort.
Absolutely loved our stay at the Centara Karon, we were a family of 2a and 2c in a 1 bedroom cabana.
The cabana was gorgeous, very spacious with 2 big beds, the added extras in the cabana were really lovely and well received.
We were right next to the Spa, which was lovely and very serene, the spa girls were all very friendly and the treatment I had was very enjoyable and reasonably priced.
We spent most of our time around the Lagoon pool which was great for the kids. The Carpe Diem team were amazing and once they met you were super friendly and great with the kids. DJ, Leon, Veronica, Maria and Kimmi were lots of fun, as was Drago but we didn't see him as much. They activities they organised for Songkran were lots of fun and we really enjoyed then. I would have liked to see an extra activity for the kids in the morning and also more activities like the pirate activities as these were the kids favourite. The kids club was very sedate and my kids (5 & 7) didn't like to be in there. It was also quite expensive for the crafts (500baht to paint 2 glasses - which the staff did most of the kids said).
Breakfast was delicious and varied and always lots of choice to set you up for the day.
Deen at concierge was amazing, my kids loved him, he remembered their names and always asked how they were and gave them rides to the room - he was a great 1st impression to welcome you to the hotel.
The only issue we had was that the toilet kept blocking in our room but they dealt with it promptly and efficiently. A reminder not to put toilet paper down the toilet should also be in the room.
We ate at Azure and the food (especially the satay sticks) was great, drinks were good at the pool bar but my only gripe was the 10% service charge and the 7% tax on everything rocketed prices up.
We also drank in the mix bar and the garden bar - the the garden bar cocktails were better value than the happy hour drinks in the mix (they were very weak!)
Overall the hotel was excellent and all the staff and facilities were too!
We would definitely love to return!

The only thing I would suggest to Centsra is a ceiling fan to circulate the air conditioning. Other than that we loved our time at Centara Karon.

We have now stayed at Centara Karon on 2 occasions and find the resort to be great for families with the pools and kids entertainment great. Whilst the rooms and bathrooms aren't "top notch" they were more than sufficient for what we expected for the price. The food was of a good standard at the resort and there are a number of good restaurants near by.
Would absolutely stay at this resort again. Excellent location in Karon with markets and nightlife on the door step. About a ten minute tuk tuk ride to Patong. With 3 generous sized pools all with a swim up bar and water slides in the main pool for the kids and big kids.

This place was amazing! Such nice rooms and clean. Extremely friendly staff and such great service. The food was beautiful. Looooved the buffet breakfast! Close to everything. Perfect for our children with the kids pool, but there are other quiet ones for travellers without children. Will definitely be staying here again when we visit again! Cannot wait!
Service & resort facilities are excellent. My room at The Terraces was comfortable although had a disappointing view of the street. Would happily stay there again.
Being return visitors to this resort we knew what to expect. We were pleasantly upgraded on our return which was lovely. Our kids enjoyed the pool and all of the activities. We felt very safe in the surrounding streets when heading out for meals, shopping or local transport.

The location of Centara Koran is excellent, with the Karon markets (Saturday & Tuesday nights) 300m away and supermarkets everywhere. Service ranged from excellent to ok, but overall a pleasant stay.

What could be better? Wifi was a bit slow occasionally but not to the point of disappointing.
I would recommend this hotel and this chain.
My only negative feedback on Centara Karon Resort is that our room was a little tired, needed a paint job, had a few chips of paint on the walls, and it probably wasn't the best room, as it was right near the lift and next to the storage room, so could be quite noisy, not a great view from the balcony either, we overlooked the entrance.
Besides that I can't fault the resort, its in a great location, and fantastic service!
Our family of 4 stayed in August 2015 in a family lagoon room. The room was huge (though a little dated). Prices for food and drinks at the resort were reasonable. Entertainment team were great. Would stay here again and recommend to others. Great location, great value for money.

Just back after 10 nights at the Centara Karon, the total experience from check in to checkout and everything in between was effortless and no problem for us. The staff at Centara were all great from the lobby people to the people who serviced our room daily. Also a big thank you to travel online.com, you guys did a marvellous job, every aspect of our holiday went off without a hitch.
We found the location and service great., Staff were very friendly. We dined every evening and most lunches at one of the nearby restaurants as we found the resort food prices to be too high. Great value for money holiday as we received 5 nights free!!
People were so friendly and always greeted with a smile. This resort is very family orientated and is great for the kids as well parents. Kids loved the pool with the slides. Cannot express how lovely also the workers were. Great place for a family holiday.
We have 4 children aged between 7 and 16 and find this hotel to be wonderful value and it is in a fantastic location as you have massage places, mini mart, chemist and many restaurants just outside your hotel. I feel the service was a lot better this stay from our previous holiday in 2012, the staff are always friendly but I found it to be far more efficient this holiday which is great. We didn't utilise the Carpe Diem team too much as we were always out but these guys do a wonderful job keeping the kids entertained and are always friendly and helpful. The only negatives I would have is I think the pool swim up bars could do with having a happy hour every day rather than only 1 day and the egg station at the buffet breakfast could be position in a better place as it can get a bit crowded with people waiting for omelettes and people trying to get to the toasters and pastries. Overall this hotel is fantastic and would highly recommend, thank again Centara Karon.
Great stay relax near pool with the kids, great buffet breakfast clean and tidy resort close to all amenities outside resort. fabulous relaxing getaway, highly recommend and the spa was to die for package on my birthday special treat.

Friendly and fun are the 2 words that come to mind. Ideal for us with boys aged 6 and 3 (suits families with children older and younger than that. Comfortable spacious room, 3 fantastic pools, great events and Karon on your doorstep. Choose to relax in your oasis of a resort or involve yourself in the shopping and action of Phuket - the best of both worlds.
The entertainment crew made the stay at Centara Karon more enjoyable & fun. Facilities were great. Staff very friendly and helpful
The resort is stunning and the staff amazing. we had an amazing time. The food was good, the resort was beautiful and entertainment good. We were a bit disappointed that they cancelled the Asian night on short notice as a result of a conference - we missed out :-(

Centra is a fantastic resort especially for families, couples, and really anyone.
The facilities they provide would suit all.
Location to shopping areas is just outside the gate and beach is less than 400 metres away.
A great place to stay.
Great resort. Location is good. Not far from the beach. But close enough to many restaurants and shops. On arrival they didn't have the room we booked, but they offered to switch us to the higher level cabana room after two nights and gave us a free dinner at the restaurant. Great service, very nice room and highly recommended.
This was a great stay for families! Lagoon pool is perfect depth for children. Many restaurants and shops right outside the resort and beach a very short stroll away. Karon is a quieter area if you want to escape the business of Patong.

The resort was very nice we stayed in the lagoon deluxe we had connecting rooms and were as expected over looking the pool from the 3rd floor which was nice.
Check in was a breeze and taken to our room and informed as to where everything was on the way to the room.
The buffet breakfast was superb plenty of choice for my fussy 3 children.

This is a good resort with a wide range of facilities that makes it good for all types of travellers. It has three pool areas that cater to those with young children, couples and those who are looking for a quieter time. The slides in the kids pool were a huge hit with the kids. The "Entertainers" did a great job putting on activities - especially for Song Kran (Thai New Years). The resort is in Karon Beach so the choices of restaurants/bars outside the resort is limited compared with Patong and Kata. However there are still quite a number of good choices available.
This was a relaxing holiday. Some days we didn't even leave the resort. The beach was a short walk away, but with 3 pools we were well catered for. The buffet breakfasts were extensive and fresh. The buildings are old but rooms have been refurbished and were very comfortable.
My husband and I just returned from Phuket and stayed at this resort with our 2 9 year olds and one 11year old plus other families. We all had a great time. The kids were well entertained by the friendly entertainment staff and facilities for kids. They especially liked the Lagoon pool with the water slides. All staff were friendly and the service was great. The kids loved the games with prizes every day, pool aerobics, and tennis, water polo and basketball competitions each day. Meals were good but on the pricey side as there was an added tax and service charge for food and drinks. We all had a great holiday staying at the Centara resort and would recommend it for anyone to stay there.
Location perfect - walk out gates to restaurants, Massage, Pubs, Shops & Stalls. Local Market & Beach only short walk. Grounds & Pools well maintained. Buffet breakfast had huge selection and was delicious!! Staff helpful & friendly, Tour desk person imformative. Definatley would stay again!!! Fantastic time had by us and our adult children and their partners.
A great resort in a great location at Karon Beach. Lots of restaurants, bars and shops close by. The resort has a kids pool so couples used the Terrace pool which was nice and quiet and the guys working at the pool bar were great. Would recommend.

Our holiday was great
The location of Karon resort can't be beaten. With an irish pub, restaurants, transport, massages and shopping straight outside, you really don't need to go anywhere to find anything if you don't want to. Great for families, the lagoon pool is fantastic, my teenagers loved this place too and made friends both their own age and younger which kept them exhausted. We would definitely stay there again. Our room was explained as \"Deluxe at the lagoon\" which was directly opposite the lagoon pool and steps away from the Bar (always good). LOVED IT.
A comfortable, well serviced resort located at the Patong end (or northern end) of Karon with many shops & bars literally just outside the resort and within 350m level walk to the beach, temple markets and plaza markets (cheap shopping).
Our family (kids aged 9, 5, 3) had a great time - resort was fantastic and the kids loved the waterslides, pool parties and playground. Perfect family resort with local markets, the beach and Patong only a short tuk tuk away. Looking forward to returning
Loved the resort, kids had a ball in the pools and with all the games and activities. Tennis and Basketball could be free though. Location is great with market, massage and restaurants just outside the gates. The family suites could do with a bit of privacy between the beds and there is plenty of room to do 2 singles rather than the kids having to share a double bed.
First time staying in Karon Beach and the Centara Karon Resort was a fantastic place to stay. Great, central location, kids loved the waterslides and choice of 3 different pools, resort grounds beautifully maintained & overall a fantastic resort. We will definitely stay at Centara Karon Resort on our return to Thailand.
This is a good four star family resort- friendly staff, nice rooms and good restaurants. Karon beach was great central spot to visit the other attractions in Phuket

A lovely place to stay. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Quiet location but easy access to local shops and restaurants. Very clean and tidy. A variety of pools - would have been nice to have a 'no kids' pool - but they did tend to use the pool with a slide most so all good! More free wifi would have been helpful. Khob Khun kup!

Centara Karon Resort is a terrific place to stay for everyone. They have 3 pools lots of activities, the breakfast is wonderful and all other food is good to.
The rooms are a good size and staff are great. The best part was for kids - the pool in the Lagoon section is a wonderment of slides and bridges, soccer nets and safe depths for children to stay in. In a good location at Karon with easy access to shops, restaurants and bars. Would recommend this hotel for a terrific stay.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights. Location is perfect! Good food and variety at the buffet breakfast, staff were friendly and rooms were modern and clean, choice of 3 different pools. Would stay there again.
I would recommend this resort to anybody. The location is wonderful just a little walk to shops and the beach. Breakfast was excellent and of course the staff were super wonderful always gracious and helpful and fun.
This was our 4th visit to this resort and we do intend to not make it the last time.

Kids loved the pool with slides. Great location if you don't want to be in the middle of all the patong action. Only a 20min ride to patong.

Loved the pools but unfortunately due to the time of the year we couldn't swim at the beach, far too dangerous. Great resort but if a couple and to get away from the lovely screaming children its best to hang out at the Tropicale Pool which was great and the breakfast was fantastic and the food gets changed around most days for more choice. Would happily stay here again!!
The Centara Karon Resort is a very nice well equipped place for families with young children, great Kids Club and swimming pool, playground. The staff are very friendly and always so eager to help, especially the bell boys? at entry to hotel.
Great place for families as it has water slides for kids and 3 pools. A bit too noisy and too many people in the pool for my liking but my grandchildren liked it.
We have just returned home with our family of 6 and had a great time at the resort - great pool with waterslide for kids, the kids club really is for under 5's as not much for the older ones but they are happier in the pool.
This is a beautiful resort with great facilities very well positioned and very friendly and helpful staff.
My friend and I stayed for 4 nights in December, 2012. Centara Karon Resort was excellent. There were 3 pools to choose from, catering for children, couples and families! The breakfast was divine with a large selection of foods. The rooms were beautiful, really modern and quiet. I would recommend Centara to everyone!
