We stayed for 5 nights and although the Port Douglas shire was without water for the first 2 days, the staff were fantastic (particularly Vincenzo making some amazing cocktails). 
We would definitely come back!

Would recommend this resort as one of the best I have stayed in as its close to all amenities and yet has such great facilities for all adults and children.
Would come back to this resort any time I was coming up to Port Douglas .

Definitely recommended for a break as lots to do or do nothing - anything goes. :)

We love staying at Mantra Portsea, we've stayed with family of all ages and as a couple and its fantastic. Based an easy walk to everywhere, beach, wharf, restaurants and shopping the location is perfect. Great pools, bbq areas and swim up bar.

The property was immaculate. Breakfast was great. A tea towel in the kitchen would be handy to have.

Excellent room close to breakfast room and pathway to beach. Excellent hotel location - walking distance to town centre. Lovely staff. Had a relaxing day by the pool drinking cocktails and nibbling chips from the Lagoon Bar. Thankyou Mantra Portsea - we will be back!

From the elegant check in lobby through to my room , I was delightfully pleased. Room was a little on the smallish size but perfect for me as a solo traveller. Very clean room and bathroom . Access to pool was easy and the lagoon bar provided some delicious Pina Coladas !
Continental brekky in Breakfast room was more than adequate; staff kept a very keen eye on supplies and topped up when required - fresh fruit, range of flavoured yoghurts, cereal, and a great selection of breads .

Had a great time with our adult children who loved the swim up bar!! location is close enough to main street to walk or get the bus..

Great resort, well spaced out. Rooms out to the pool recommend, was perfect!.
Daily breakfast not recommended as an add on, no bacon and eggs. Make your own toasties and fruit pretty much all that's offered.
Overall though, great location and great set out.

We had a fabulous holiday to Port Douglas from accomodation to tours and dining experiences. We would highly recommend Mantra Portsea with their friendly staff and clean and comfortable accommodation.

They closed the bar early two of the first three days we were there which meant we could not buy drinks after 5. the advertised opening was 1 to 6pm. On those days we only got to the pool at 4:30 so that was disappointing. However we really enjoyed the holiday and Mantra Portsea.

Enjoyed our stay, the beds were super comfy, pool was amazing, building visually beautiful. A bit disappointed that there was not hot food at breakfast, needs more variety.

We stayed 5 nights with our family of 5 and thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded the beautiful tropical gardens and many swimming pools.

We had a lovely family 5 night stay and we really enjoyed the many pools and daily breakfast. Being so close to the beach was handy and the beds were comfortable.

Thought the room was a tad on the small side, otherwise everything else was good...

Hotel is nice, quiet location but only 10 minute walk away from centre. Close to beach. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again

Enjoyed our stay

Our stay at the Mantra Portsea was fine. Given the price, we were expecting a little better. We were inforned on arrival that there was no room service and were given a token to use once during our stay to change our towels. The room, again, was ok...but felt a bit tired and dirty. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was almost occluded from a thick layer of dust, the bins and fridge had rust stains and although this didn't effect our trip, the room didn't have a nice feeling, especially for the price.
The included continental breakfast was very average and not worth fighting the other guests for, we chose to eat out every morning.
However, staff were pleasant and the location was very good.
We would recommend this hotel for families, not couples.

The swim up bar looks amazing. Unfortunately there was no service to the rooms for our 5 day stay and we had to take out our rubbish and find a bin which was located in a hall.

Husband and I stayed here for our baby moon. The room we had looked out onto the lagoon pool and had a big balcony which was beautiful. The pool was so great especially during the hours the bar was open as there was music and they even had mocktails!

I really enjoyed my stay at The Portsea. The staff were very lovely and the structure of the resort is great! I loved all of the swimming pools and the swim up pool bar!

Loved all the different pools, the lay out and the stone pathways.

rooms were beautiful,service was excellent...so relaxing.

We had a wonderful time in Port Douglas- the Port Sea was not the greatest Mantra we have stayed at -took us a while to get used to the no servicing of the rooms - you just go to reception and collect any clean towels etc yourself but quite understand they are trying to make holidays affordable- plus Port Douglas is pretty laid back!!!!The main lagoon pool was quite dirty but the rest of the pools were fine- and if you don't have kids the other pools are the place to be anyway! Drinks at the pool bar were expensive- and it closes at 5pm so that was a negative! Breakfast was a bit ordinary - just a continental breakfast but no variety so over a week we got a bit over it. The staff were fabulous - really friendly and helpful. Easy walk into the town, beach at the back door - very easy walk down along the beach to the surf club - now there is a good happy hour!!We would go back.
