Loved the swim up pool and lovely reception service.
My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Silkari Lagoons Resort. The apartment was terrific, the bed was very comfy and amenities included were great. Brilliant swimming pools. I highly recommend Silkari Lagoons Resort for value and a very enjoyable experience.
Loved it
Silkari Lagoons is a peaceful setting with 6 pools and lovely gardens, only a walk to 4 Mile beach. The room was spacious and clean with an individual spa on the balcony. No dining facilities but easy to get to The Ramada next door and other places nearby. We would definitely stay there again.
They had everything you needed for your stay. It was great and they were very helpful with all the questions. They is no dining available hence the low score.
Silkari Lagoons was an amazing holiday stay. We loved the pools and deck area as well as how close to the beach it was.
We especially appreciated the recommendations from reception on dining options in the area - we tried most of them and they were great.

Even though they had no restaurant on site they had good arrangements with a resort nearby for any meal. They also had good BBQ facilities to self-cater.

We had a "swim In swim out" room and it was great the staff at reception were very helpful and friendly, if I had to make one small complaint would be there was no toaster and only plastic cups in the room, I don't think it would have been very costly to supply them , I understand that with the pool being right outside glasses may have been a safe concern but the rooms are only for couples, but apart from that we loved it,,,
The hotel was very good. The room had everything we needed, was clean, air conditioner worked brilliantly. Unfortunately Stage 4 restrictions meant we weren't able to use the spa. The pools were fantastic, albeit the water was very hot due to weather. Reception staff very welcoming and hospitable. I've just returned, and have booked to stay here again in May.
The property was spotless. The staff were polite and courteous. Shade over the pool would compliment the stay as the water would be cooler and you could sit outside for longer
We stayed in a 2 bedroom swim apartment. Room included towels, seperate beach/pool towels, dvd player and smart tv, microwave, stove top, Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, full size fridge, air conditioning, nice sheets and pillows, beds were OK - comfortable enough to enjoy our stay.
We had everything we needed for a relaxing family stay. Communal BBQ's also available and well maintained. A couple of great cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Enjoyed our stay.
We had the best time, our room balcony was right on the pool. The ladies at reception were amazing helping us with whatever we needed.
The transfer company into town was great and so accommodating. We had the best time and can't wait to come back

Even though the weather wasn't the best we had a great stay.
This was a great spot when we stayed in Port Douglas. Especially to have our own plunge pool was awesome. 5 minutes from everywhere and made us feel like home!

Our 5 days stay at Silkari was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and spa on the balcony were great. The property is in nice location ,very clean and quiet.Very helpful and great staff. Would highly recommend this hotel .

Three friends and myself had a wonderful 5 night stay at Silkari Lagoons port Douglas. the adjoining rooms allowed us 4 to stay together.
The room was large and the facilities were fabulous.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
We would definitely recommend it to all.

This is our second time staying at Silkari Lagoons and I can honestly say it's not the last.
The rooms and pools are amazing and the entire place is impeccable.

An amazing place, already planning another holiday to this resort
Jen at reception was amazing. She confirmed all of our booked activities on the spot. She had great local knowledge and we could tell she was passionate about her home town.she is an asset to your property.
It was a good apartment with more facilities than we expected (dishwasher, laundry etc).
The staff were extremely helpful in recommending & booking tours, shuttle etc.
Beautiful room with all that was required, only problem was the walking distance from CBD however it was a lovely walk
along 4 Mile Beach into CBD plus the shuttle
buses were good.
There was no dining available, hence the 1 star
I will definitely be returning to Silkari Lagoons. It was beautiful, quiet and the swimming pools are amazing. Staff were super friendly and helpful, pointing out all the local attractions, dining experiences and how to get around town. Perfect place for couples and families.

Great place stay, but not having a eaterie on site is the downside.
Nice clean room, lovely staff, only thing I found was it is a bit far from Port Douglas itself and the only real choice of dining was the Ramada next door or going into town, but without a car you need to either walk, 45 minutes or get a shuttle which adds extra money onto your meals, would be better if it was closer to Port Doulglas.
The sun lounges around the pool are a killer on your back and bottom. So hard.

Enjoyed our stay at Silkari. Room comfortable & had everything we needed. Pool area good. Did have a car as the walk in to town was a bit far but we did do it one day along the beach. Bus available that you have to pay for.

The room we had which was an apartment was great with pool view. The rooms were only serviced every 5 days which wasn't an issue for us. There are not many eateries or bars close, Except the Ramada next door, So a bar or cafe on site would have been great. Overall I would give 3.5 stars.
This was our second stay at silkari.
Clean well Maintained room. Quiet location. Very comfy bed and pillows.
Need a car to get to shops etc but not a problem.

Silkari Lagoons was comfortable, well appointed but we felt it needed a restaurant/cafe/bar onsite to complement other facilities as it is quite a long way out from central PD. Staff very attentive and friendly
Definitely not happy with being on the wrong side of the pool,we had the great swim up rooms,we were in 30B,but the worst thing is it is on the bad side,no sun at all,morning or afternoon,very disappointing,would ask to stay on the other side if we went back.

Resort staff are friendly, beach is close and rooms are clean although a little out dated.
The only real let down is Silkari doesn't have a restaurant or room service, however there are a couple options near by.

Good place to stay and explore Port Douglas. Pools were nice of a big day out. The Ramada hotel bar and restaurant was handy next door.
Great service from the staff with very clean amenities. Food and drinks close by. Bus into town was quick and efficient during a busy period.
Only small issue in the room we stayed the carpet in the 2bd apartment could do with a clean and up date. Beds / pillows comfortable. Shower in studio needs a deeper clean. Generally just needs a little refresh.
Self contained apartment was adequate. Pool access from room was great. No restaurant facilities on site but resort next door had one. A little too far to walk for most things but local shuttles were always available.

We felt it was more for couples that needed a place to just relax. Overall a nice quite hotel to stay.
Pool area - when swimming in the pool area, it feels like invading privacy of the people who stayed in the swim out rooms on the ground floor.
Rooms - Towels good be changed at least 2x per week, instead changing them on request.
Staff - excellent, friendly and very professional.
Parking - each room should be allocated a parking spot. Sometimes it was difficult to find parking, had to park on the opposite side of the room, on the other side of the resort/hotel.

You could walk to main Port Douglas approximately 45 mins or the shuttle bus very convenient to get around.
From the moment we arrived, the reception service was wonderful.
We enjoyed a 3 bedroom accommodation that backed straight onto a warm salt swimming pool. Every morning and every afternoon our children swam to their hearts content. Cooking facilities made the stay comfortable, as did having the resort next door for dining options.
We particularly enjoyed walking each morning along the beach to the Kai for take away coffee (they also do fantastic value tasty breakfast too).

We had a 2 bedroom swim out pool which was actually 3 bedrooms, a lounge area, dining area, full kitchen and additional small kitchen, plus 2 bathrooms and a laundry. We found it to be very comfortable and a great location.
Swim out apartment was great! The overall resort was well kept, lovely gardens! A fair way out from the town, but the shuttle buses worked well. Would recommend to family and friends. Had a great time and would go back again!

We stayed in a hotel balcony spa room. Loved the spa but be aware that all the rooms face one another so privacy not great. Pools and grounds beautiful but if you're looking for a quiet place to stay probably this would not suit. I think an apartment would be a better choice.

Nice two bedroom apartment. Loved the easy access to the pool. Clean place very tidy. Not too far to drive for everything.
There is no restaurant in the resort. But there is restaurants up in town. Our room didnt get any fresh linen all week(7 days). No mid week service to the room. Very noisy aircon in loungeroom(yes it was reported).

The unit was nice, with plenty of room. The maintenance man could probably spend a few hours in there fixing a few minor issues. If they spent $100 on new kitchen ware (plates, bowls, glasses, ect) it would be nice and make a big difference. We were in a swim out room and noticed quiet a few people who were not in swim out rooms just step around the fence and use other rooms balcony and sun lounges, this probably needs attention as people pay more for that privilege. Over I would stay there again, but if they fail to spend any money on the resort it will be very down within a few years.

The double bed was so uncomfortable and small my husband and I ended up taking a single bed each. These were comfy!
The pool was way too warm to enjoy, not at all refreshing.
However, with so many adventures and swimming options in the Port Douglas area, we didn't spend too much time in our room, and it provided what we needed during our stay.
Airing rack was changed to a new one when a request was made as current one was broken.
Visitors should be aware that the town of Port Douglas is a good 15 minute drive from Silkari Lagoons and if you don't have your own car taxi fares amount to a substantial cost each day.
The Silkari was a great place to stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Initially when we arrived we were travelling with my sister and her husband and their room was at the other end of the hotel. We asked if we could be moved closer together and the manager ended up putting us all in a two bedroom two bathroom apartment. It was wonderful. it made our holiday really special. We had everything we needed, only a short walk on the beach into town and shuttle buses were always available. We would definitely stay again

Very good resort but no dining @ resort so had to eat in town. Resort some distance from town so without a car this is a problem. Very hard to get into restaurants in Pt Douglas on spur of the moment - need to book days in advance

We enjoyed the overall holiday trip but I was totally disappointed and not satisfied with the services provided by the resorts especially for the late check in .the beds and facilities in the room was average, the responds to the out of their business hours were almost zero.
Lovely apartment - clean and spacious. Pools and gardens lovely making for a relaxing holiday. Close to town and all activities.

spent 7 days at the resort with no major problems. could have been told about the local shuttle at check in and there was no housekeeping for the full 7 days. We asked for a vacuum clean of our unit on day 4 but no one undertook this.
We had a swim-out room. Fantastic idea. School holidays might be a bit of a challenge though as the pools would be full of kids right outside your door! Room was adequate, only slept there anyway. Ramada next door with great casual restaurant and in the other direction there was a fish and chip shop. St Crispin's was just the other side of the road for lovely breakfast. Shuttle bus to town if needed, only 5 minutes drive. We enjoyed our stay.

Although Silkari is a bit out of town, the bus transport was always punctual and very reasonably priced. Lots of nice walks along the beach.

A great resort, very comfortable king bed and lovely swimming pool connected to patio.
The swim out pool was the best feature. Beds comfortable, Air-con and fans comfortable and quiet, good sized rooms. Rooms were very quiet with the doors and windows closed. Clean rooms and clean grounds.

What a great place to stay. We had a large self contained apartment overlooking the pools. It was a beautiful walk into Port Douglas along the beach and the local shuttle bus service was simple to use for those times you didn't want to walk.

We didn't expect Port Douglas and the Top End to be so beautiful. We'll probably go back. And the big pools at Silkari Lagoons are great, especially at night when you can see the stars.
From the time we stepped through reception, we were greeted by very friendly people and the staff were amazing! Knowledgeable about the area regarding things to do, places to eat etc. I even received a bottle of champagne for my birthday! Being a little out of town, comfortably got around with the local shuttle service with a 4 day pass which was unlimited travel. Markets were amazing on Sunday. The accommodation was fantastic, with direct access to the swimming pool, kitchen, 2 bedrooms. We had everything we needed and more and will be back again soon. Beautiful unspoilt part of the world with the reef on your doorstep.

We have stayed here many times but always in an apartment swim out not a hotel swim out. It was fine, only for a couple of nights. The swim out is the key! Love it here. We hire bikes and cycle in and out of the township. Lovely

This is great accommodation but needs to service apartments when staying for longer than 7 days. I do understand at the moment their are staffing shortages and they replaced pool towels and toiletries when asked. Otherwise service and facilities excellent.
Appreciate the upgrade room
Our apartment was very good and spacious.
The rooms were clean and roomy. The pool was lovely as was the barbecue area. It would be nice to have somewhere on the premises to buy coffee/tea and something for breakfast/lunch.
Silkari resort was wonderful, a little bit out of town but the shuttle service around the town is brilliant. Excellent staff and very friendly and helpful.
I booked it for my brother and I and was impressed with the two bedroom, two bathrooms option of the deluxe apartment. We each had our own space.
However not having an in-house cafe/restaurant on the premises was at times an issue.

As my adult son came with us, we wanted privacy for my partner and I and for my son. We had an adjoining room, both with separate access but also with access for him to join us for meals etc. His room had a spa and ours had a plunge pool. Rooms were clean and comfortable with everything with needed. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Silkari Lagoons is a piece of paradise! Service offered by staff was second to none, recommendations for tours and attractions was appreciated. The resort is good for access to 4 Mile Beach & a bit further from the centre of town. We loved our swim-out room for access to one of the pools. Comfy beds! Good clean bbq facilities, beautiful gardens. Lots of free car parking but if you don’t have a car there are many local shuttle buses that sell multi trip tickets & are a great way to get around.
Want a relaxing holiday in a great location, staff friendly/comical and rooms to suit your needs. BBQ area great, scenery great, gardens great, People friendly. Would highly recommend.
friendly staff and great amenities
We stayed 6 nights and were upgraded upon check-in to a 3 bedroom dual apartment that suited our family much better than a 2 bedroom apartment alone. We had an excellent deal through Travel Online and had paid an exceptionally low price for what we received. The apartment was very clean, fresh and nicely appointed, with lovely tropical gardens. The swim-out outdoor area was perfect for our kids. Tiled floors easy to keep clean and slippers provided for comfort. The kitchen was more geared to light meals with a two-bay induction stove and microwave, but no oven. Location is a little bit away from the town centre but only a very short drive. No dining option within the hotel, but Ramada is next door and some local cafes are options. Family friendly restaurants for picky eaters are more readily available at the top end of Macrossan St. All in all, it was a beautiful stay and we were very happy with the friendly, attentive service.
Swimming pools awesome
We loved the idea of having the pool off our balcony which we were in every day with our son. Resort is in a great location and only a short 5 minute walk to 4 mile beach behind the resort. The 2 bedroom is interconnecting through the main entry door but had a sliding door between the main and another small room where our son slept in the port-a-cot. There is no bath in the two bedroom apartment either. We stayed for 5 nights and were happy with the apartments facilities also with parking right outside our door. Would stay again.

The apartment configuration worked extremely well and the swim out pool was wonderful.
We ate outside on the deck each night and used the nearby barbi facilities.
John and the front of house staff were always helpful and friendly and Marissa offers a great massage.

My son ,daughter in law and wife had a 2room deluxe apartment which was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the lagoon style pool and balcony hot tub. All in all a very enjoyable 3days.
I was very happy with the rooms we were in, at the very end on the complex, making it a little more private. I would hope if staying again I would be able to obtain the same rooms
We really enjoyed our stay at Oaks Lagoons. We had the two bedroom swim up room. This was great for families with more than two children as the study could be closed off and used as a third room for the travel cot. The BBQ area was great and we sometimes used the restaurant at the Ramada next door.
