Overall the stay was great. The owners were very accommodating. The staff (all staff from cleaners, wait on staff, night time security) were exceptional. The resort does have a monopoly on food and drink with it being so far out of town, therefore a bit on the pricey side (in our opinion).
This was our second stay at Eratap and it didn't disappoint. The location is great with every villa right on the beach, with its amazing reef within metres. It's the service that really completes the experience though - everyone goes out of their way to make your stay as great as it can be.
It was like stepping into a new, peaceful, caring, beautiful and inspiring world.
We had a really great stay here - a beautiful and peaceful location, with great facilities (and more soon to be added). What makes the difference though is the staff who just made everything easy for us - from the food and drinks to the activities and transport arrangements. We have come home refreshed and with a stack of brilliant memories.
Special thanks to Maki, Yvonne, Stephen and Jenny got your awesome service. Teenagers really enjoyed it. 5 days was great as we just relaxed there and did in-house activities.
A perfect resort for couples with great villas. The staff are wonderful. Highly recommend.
What an awesome place, a real piece of paradise.
The Honeymoon Villa was really special with everything right at your doorstep. The staff were all friendly and helpful.Would definitely come back again.
resort was excellent and full credit goes to the Management and team as they have kept on working and investing in this resort post the cyclone earlier in 2015. Dining and the evening shows were top class, as were the rooms.
Great value holiday for five days and would 100% return
Staff wonderful, rooms great, food ok.
This place is great. Staff are fantastic. Location fantastic and just a surreal experience! Would recommend in a hearbeat!
Lovely place with wonderful staff.
Eratap was everything we had hoped for and more. What a glorious, stunning location! Staff were friendly, but not intrusive. From the moment we were welcomed with a drink and an orientation, it was obvious that is place cares. Tony and the rest of the staff - you have made our holiday a memorable one. Nothing was too much trouble; they even delivered our bags to the next destination. Food was wonderful, but the lunch choices were a bit big. Some simple sandwiches or similar would have been a great addition. Location could not have been more special.
We chose Eratap Beach Resort pretty much because of the great reviews on tripadvisor. Now that my husband and I have finally experienced it, I can easily say yes! to all that's been raved for :) We stayed for 7 wonderful nights. Fantastic food, super friendly staff, an awesome villa and an all-round beautiful resort. We specifically chose a period when kids are not permitted as we are on our honeymoon but the resort provides for several activities and entertainment for every age.
Food wise, breakfast is complimentary though I prefer just a simple croissant with a latte :) my husband usually chooses a more hearty meal like bacon and eggs with a latte. For lunch our fave would have to be the BLT panini.. The bacon is yummm.. For dinner, we absolutely love the beef carpaccio and the grilled scallops as entrees. Mains, definitely the eye fillet but if you manage to catch a wahoo fish (hubby did) well even better! The most delish fish I've ever had! Desert - loved the coconut panacota and chocolate mouse. Definitely you have top it all with coconut margaritas :)
Bumpy ride.. The first go was painful particularly after a plane trip. I highly recommend a travelers massage as soon as you arrive. But after then, you just have to have a laugh and consider it as part of the charm for the resort.
Activities we did.. There were soo many to do and at the same time we wanted some time just for ourselves. Be sure you snorkel! Even for someone who's never done it before (like me!) have a try!! It took me a couple of gos and hubby was very patient but it was well worth it. The corals and the fishes were amazing!! Highlight would have to be seeing schools of clown fishes which was spectacular to see. We also did the village tour which was guided by Max. Very lovely man and truly cares for his village. If u have space in ur luggage see if u can bring soccer balls and other play equipment for the kids. They'd love that. The only other activity we did was hiring a driver for the day and he took us around the whole island. Itinery was the Blue Lagoon, Eton Beach, lunch at the Wahoo Bar and Mele Cascade Water fall.. Every single place we went was amazing!! Unfortunately we ran out of time to see the summit garden so just check ur time if u want to include that to your itinerary as I heard that place is awesome too!
Overall 10/10 :) Tony has done an amazing job making this resort and we will truly remember this wonderful place and all the wonderful people we have met. I truly hope we get to visit soon :)
Expensive, but everything is amazing. A little far from town on a pretty bumpy little track, though the beaches and reefs are good. Also the food is a little expensive compared to Port Vila. But very good quality. The kids there seemed to be having fun too. Staff and the resort itself are perfect.
Excellent resort with personal, friendly service and wonderful food. An ideal place to really unwind with great snorkelling and swimming.
The resort is right on the beach - you can walk out of your villa and go straight to the beach!
It's great for surfing - not speaking from personal experience, but there were a few guys surfing when I was there. It's meant to be the best or second best spot in Vanuatu to surf.
I went there with friends, but I thinks it's good for couples and friends travelling together. I think they do allow kids but only on the school holidays.
You feel like you are on a Pacific Island at Eratap - it has stayed true to the Melanesian style.
Great food
