The rooms and grounds looked tired and needed maintenance. Each time room was tidied there were no towels or bath mat left. Meals were nice but average. The staff were beautiful, kind and very helpful.
Dinner meals were expensive. Brekkies were great. Rooms and location really nice
The staff are simple wonderful. The shows are authentic. The local school and village tours eye opening. The Kids Menu needs some veges please. And stay away from the kava (at the village tour)......got violently ill from it. Tip. Take some shoes, clothes and books (and pens) to the school (on the local tour). Thank u.
Fiji Hideaway provides an escape from the everyday with relaxation aplenty! The Staff are super friendly and the bures are large and comfortable, although the absence of an in-room TV was surprise!! We didn't miss it as there were so many great (free) activities on offer every day!!! This encouraged us to embrace the 'Bula' spirit and really get to know Fiji's culture and people which was a real highlight!!!
The Fiji hideaway resort and spa you were made to feel like family from check in, all the wonderful staff made you feel welcome, the meals were incredible, the room was lovely and clean, all the activities on offer there was something for everyone to do and enjoy, the nightly performances from different groups was amazing to watch at dinner time. Overall I felt like I was safe and part of a big family during my stay.
The kids loved the easy access to the reef for snorkeling & canoeing. A little run down but in the process of renovating with the new owners. Staff are genuinely friendly & willing to help in any way. The kids loved the staff. Little over priced on the food & beverage
Hideaway exceeded our expectations - staff were phenomenal, room and dining certainly adequate. We wanted seperate bure accommodation on the beach not a hotel room and could not have been happier
The resort is well set out with most rooms having a sea view. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the welcome on the bed was very special. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Loved it beautiful views. Not to far to walk for dinner, staff very friendly.
This was our third trip to the Hideaway and it did not disappoint. the staff are absolutely lovely and the location is picture-perfect. Not a five-star resort but then it doesn't pretend to be either. This lovely little oasis is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Super clean and comfortable, fun and easy-going. Everything we wanted. We will be back!
We missed one night of our trip due to the cyclone, but you wouldn't have even known there had been a cyclone. The staff cleaned up any fallen trees etc asap, and were as friendly and helpfull as ever, and did not show any personal issues if they had any. It was just what we needed.
We had an absolutely wonderful holiday experience at the Hideaway Resort. Friendly staff and always helpful right from the time we checked in all the way to check out.
Lots of activities on site managed by the activities team keeping everyone entertained all through the day.
Highly recommended for families with kids.
We will definitely plan another Fiji holiday at the Hideaway in the near future and infact a longer one than the 5 days we spent this time since there is so much to do and 5 days is just too short.
Bula and Vinaka to all the wonderful staff at Fiji Hideaway from Pai Family
Excellent place for a break, great value for $$
Beautiful place and the staff are fantastic
Family had a great time my 2 girls wanted to stay longer as the staff are warm and friendly, will definitely go back again.
Great people, amazing location so close to some amazing snorkelling and day trips. Well away from the hustle of Nadi and you truly get to see the real world not just the facade of the resort strip.
We love Hideaway Resort and Spa. It's our second visit in 7 months and we intend to return again. The staff are friendly but not pushy. The food is beautiful and the rooms clean and fresh. The bathrooms do need to be updated a little but are still clean and very useable. The night entertainment is great and you can just hang around the resort for your holiday or go to the tour desk and book a day trip. Getting into Sigatoka is easy by local bus which stop right outside the resort and any questions you have about catching it are easily answered.
The hideaway is awesome! Friendly staff and they are entertaining, we had a fantastic time
Kids should be able to dine with parents inclusive of the eat free offer! Great kids club... cool staff.
Drink prices if more reasonable would result in greater sales, not just during happy hour.
We enjoyed our stay at The Hideaway Resort. Our room was very comfortable and had amazing views of the Coral Coast. The staff were all very friendly, enthusiastic and thorough. The food was good with plenty of it and a reasonable choice. I’d recommend purchasing the food package. The wine selection was limited and quite expensive. Plenty of activities and entertainment.
Definitely worth getting the all inclusive food and drinks, made it worthwhile.
We had a wonderful stay at the Hideaway. The beach is beautiful and the Ocean bures, with the beach right on the doorstep was fantastic. The bathrooms were clean but dated and as it was a smaller resort there were less food options. We would go again and recommend.
Overall our stay was good. Resort needs to be updated, given a freshen up.
Enjoyed staying here. Wasn't too big, flashy or over the top. Just right, would come back especially with kids under 12 getting to eat free.
Although the public areas are tired, a lovely place to stay and relax. Grounds are beautiful. Bathroom in Frangipani bure need a paint job. Staff are amazing.
Recently stayed at the Hideaway Resort which was excellent. Atmosphere was great from the moment we arrived. All the staff were than helpful, the food was very good and the accommadation was simple but comfortable as were the beds and wasn;t it great not having a TV. Plenty of things to do down at the pool. Great value!
Although the resort itself is a little tired and worn, the size, amazing staff, food and grounds made it an amazing spot.
The staff go out of their way to get to know you, and include you in activities. The entertainment every night, the daily poolside activities, reef walk, walk to the local village and school as well as the Firewalkers were all highlights as were the roving musicians at sundown serenading us as we sat on the verandah having a drink before dinner. Oh and did I mention the foot massage that was included in our package and the amazing spa. We will definitely return to this very happy place where we couldn’t quit smiling.
Fiji's Hideaway Resort looks and feels just like the brochures say - with beautiful beaches, picturesque palm trees and lush green lawns, fun water activities, friendly and helpful staff, our family of 4 enjoyed every moment (despite some rainy days). The resort offered many free activities for both adults and children. The resort bures (rooms) and facilities are a little old, but very clean and attractively presented, with fresh native flowers and Fijian touches. A perfect holiday on Fiji's beautiful Coral Coast!
Great value and a real taste of Fiji. Staff are amazing, hospitality and friendliness a credit to the resort. Top family getaway, plenty for kids to do and fun for adults too!
A very relaxing stay. Staff extremely welcoming and hospitable
We went over to get Married at the Fiji Hideaway and I have to say it was better than we were expecting. The staff are lovely and very friendly and it gives you a feel of the real Fiji. Definitely recommend this hotel for anybody to stay at or to go and get married.
We attended our sons wedding, the whole experience was wonderful, all the staff were highly considerate of my special needs daughter. Made our stay somewhat relaxing. I would certainly recommend the hideaway to special needs families
Staff here could in no way be more friendly and helpful .
Absolutely loved it would go back tomorrow in an instant
A friendly place to have a holiday, great and safe for the kids while relaxing for the adults. Very friendly staff that show no problems in assisting your needs. Overall a great place to visit.
Had a great time here and got involved in many of the activities on offer, would come back again.
Read some negative reviews before travelling but found everything clean, neat and tidy and did not seem vey busy even though they were booked out. I think some of the negative comments must be comparing the resort to high end 5 star resorts. This was a great place to stay and relax and have fun.
Hideaway is not 5 star but is clean and friendly and plenty to do or just relax by the pool. You are treated like family their motto is welcome home. Located on a coral lagoon so walking at low tide and snorkeling at high with amazing fish ect. This is our second trip to the Hideaway and we loved it yet again.
The staff at the hotel were fantastic they knew us by first name by the 3rd day. The kids club is great we had the most amazing nanny - Millie - she was so loving I wanted her to come home with us.
The food, service, staff and room were great.
Staff were outstanding with service and very friendly. Kid's Club is great, they run it even if there is only 1 child. I can not wait to go back.
A wonderful resort with great energy from staff. Very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to please.
A fairly nice mid-range resort on the coral coast only about an hour from Nadi. They have a fantastic bit of beach and reef on their doorstep which is great for everything from snorkelling to surfing. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal! With the standard package however you are only entitled to food at the main restaurant inclusive (which is fine) however the quality of the food was fairly average for lunch and dinner. The spa aspect was enjoyable but the massages were nothing special either. Some of the gear/facilities are starting to get a little run down (tennis court for example is dilapidated ) too.
That being said overall very friendly staff, a comprehensive activities program and great service. Would generally recommend, however possibly better suited to families
I love the fact they say "Welcome Home" when you arrive at this resort and that is exactly what they do. Owned by the local village, Hideaway Resort and Spa is staffed by people who live in the local communities. They welcome you wholeheartedly into their 'family' and many of the staff take the time to get to know you, your story and to identify who you are holidaying with.
We stayed in an Ocean View Bure and while it was quite spacious for 2 adults the furniture was very dated. Beds however very comfortable. The bathroom needed a litre of Domestos although it must be hard to hold back the mould in such a humid climate - it too could do with a refurb.
My children stayed in an adjacent Bure and their bathroom had been refurbished and looked considerably better.
The food is plain but there is plenty of it. We opted to include the food and beverage package and for us it really worked (75, 50, 18 and 16). There are a couple of dining options at lunch - main restaurant offers entree, main, dessert at very reasonable prices (AU$8-20) and there is also a snack hut - think nuggets, chips, burgers. Dinner in the main restaurant has a similar menu to lunch plus often a of very expensive (not) special ($45 for a bug main course....). Twice a week there is a buffet (ours was Island - fish, lovo chicken, lamb, rice, casava etc plus good selection of desserts - and Indian which we didn't try). There is also a Mongolian BBQ restaurant where you choose your protein and then manually select your other ingredients and they cook it on a hot plate (not in front of you), so you can tailor it to your own taste.
If you want a super pretty spot set inside the coral reef, where you can snorkel safely, with a view from every angle and friendly staff then this is perfect. It is a bit of a hike from Nadi or Suva (90 minutes minimum) but there is an onsite tour desk who include transport in any of your optional extras.
My kids loved the organised pool games during the day, beach basketball and disco from 10pm to close.
Don't forget to wander past the resort towards Suva and visit the Fijian village hut just outside the grounds. Perfect for a cheaper massage, mani, pedi or braids and the horse riding trip to the waterfall is one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had.
Great location. The facilities are dated but very well maintained
My daughter and I had the most amazing holiday! A home away from home! The most amazing staff! Can't wait to go back!
We loved this resort. There was plenty to do and the staff were amazing. We loved the family orientated feel of the place. it was very friendly . Very relaxing. The resort is abit out of the way for tours. We could not fault the service and meals were always good. We would stay there again.
Staff were fantastic, such beautiful people.
facility a bit dated but wonderful staff
Accommodation was what we expected for a family and the overall property was very well kept maintained
Ideal for young and old beach great for exploring .Staff couldn't do enough for you Great holiday
We had the best time at Hideaway, our room was awesome, the location was amazing and the people are so friendly and nice, we will definitely be back
We enjoyed our stay at Fiji Hideaway greatly, the kids enjoyed the activities and pool, while the parents enjoyed relaxing and diving. The service and staff were friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome and at home straight away. Our kids used the Hermit Crab kids club on a number of occasions and enjoyed the activities and made special connections with the staff. Rooms were comfortable - there was some road noise but after the first day we didn't notice it and it's not a busy road. Could have done with a drying rack or extra rail for hanging the wet bathers and towels at the end of the day. There was a good variety of meals at the restaurants and it was great to have the Quick Bite for lunches by the pool.
Great location, bures either right on the ocean or in a nice garden setting. Request away from the pool/restaurants if you like a quiet ambiance. The pool was a good design with something for everyone, but the pool area's not big; fine for the off-season but I imagine it'd be very crowded in high season. Food was pretty good, especially the included breakky, and kids eat free offer. Not much option to eat elsewhere, unless you've got transport. Lots of good activities going on, a lot of it free, and both indoor and outdoor kids clubs.
The Hideaway is well set up for families or couples. The cooked buffet breakfast included in the room rate is a big plus and sets you up well for the day. The pool area is family friendly with activities for all ages that can be joined if that's your thing. The grounds are beautifully presented however the buildings and rooms could benefit from a little more being spent on maintenance. The evening restaurant meals were adequate. We had a rental car which meant we could try out some nearby options and we enjoyed that freedom. All the staff were very friendly. The hotel is a little under two hours by bus from Denarau if you want to join one of the day cruises to an island. While it is worth doing it makes quite a long day. If you prefer snorkelling at the Hideaway be aware that it is really only possible around high tide so it may be worth checking when high tide is during your stay.. A morning high tide is probably best. Overall we enjoyed a nice relaxing stay.
Hideaway is a very relaxing resort with the most wonderful staff.
Hideaway Resort was the friendliest and relaxing place to be. Could not say a bad thing about this resort or its staff. Loved everything about our first international family holiday.
we had a great time relaxing, swimming, dining,it was absolutely fantastic.thank you Fiji Hideaway Resort,we will be back.
Been there for the second time , this time a wedding , it was a beautiful setting for a wedding , highly recommended , family orientated , with lots of activities, all day , staff are brilliant, funny and caring, always happy to accommodate you, poolside food great for lunch snack ,loved the chicken burgers , thank you for a fun filled 6 days hope to see you again soon.
Snorkelling was the highlight even at low tide. Take reef shoes and own gear
I've been there before and will visit again.
great boutique style resort, most enjoyable and friendly attentive staff. Snorkeling right on the doorstep. wonderful breakfast.
Great low key resort. Beach looked a little daunting at first, until we found out that it was just seaweed and not rocks - so don't be fooled!!
Staff were all very friendly and great with kids.
What a great place to relax with genuine people.
Enjoyed our stay at the resort and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The 6pm happy hour music and host were far too loud and sent us away from the area near the bar. We also found the offsite activities very expensive.
People are very friendly. We had relaxing and quiet time.
Massaging is very expensive with the regard of the Fiji standard. It would be more beneficial for them and for us if it was little bit cheaper.
But it was generally good.
Reasonably priced family hoilday.
Hideaway had a wonderful feel about it. The staff are great, the amenities good, the snorkelling fantastic!! I would definitely recommend Hideaway to family and friends.
Loved the rooms with the outside showers. We were upgraded to a Ocean view villa. Loved it! nice and big.
The staff is great.
Beautiful location and resort. The staff were friendly, welcoming and made you feel at home. Food was generally of good standard and enjoyable. Lots of free activities in resort. Would highly recommend!
I have now stayed at the Hideaway twice and both times have really enjoyed my stay. The staff are the friendliest people and make you feel very welcome, the facilities are clean and tidy. There are a number of activities to keep you busy and entertained and the location is perfect set amongst a beautiful beach and rainforests.
It was a great family holiday in a wonderful place with friendly locals as well as other visitors. Would recommend it to anyone!!!
Bula....A great resort, good value. Individual bures let you be in your own tropical paradise with picturesque views..Staff are so friendly and happy. Needs some TLC in places but its charm is its appearance, friendliness, happy families and all others enjoying themselves. We will be back again as are most of the other visitors. The Coral Coast is worth the two hour ride to be there and enjoy the people, their life and the beauty. It is everyone's home away from home. Vinaka
As a party of six with grandparents, parents and children, we had a wonderful time. Two bures enabled us to have privacy and yet share responsibility for children. Great for children to eat first and adults able to dine alone while children watched movies. They needed to wind down after enjoying time in the pool all day! Celebrated 2 birthdays in grand style. Great venue for diving and snorkelling plus kayaking. Thank you for wonderful holiday.
Wonderful place to stay staff are so friendly and helpful will have a great time if you stay here.
staff very friendly and helpful. you couldn't ask for much more. smaller style resort offers greater scope between staff and guests.
We have been three times to this resort and will be going again. While the rooms are not 5 star, the staff are.
Great place, very friendly, heaps of activities to do!
Resort is clean well maintained, offers everything the average family needs. Great swimming pool, well maintained grounds. The garden bures are positioned so they have great ocean views as good as the ocean view bures. Great kids meals prior to adults meals while kids in kids club. Great evening entertainment.
Resort perfect for family holiday, not a luxury resort.
THIS RESORT WAS EXCELLENT THE ROOM WAS AMAZING AND THE BEACH AND CORAL WERE STUNNING
Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to get away for a relaxing break.
Exceptional value for money. All of the staff are so friendly and more than happy to help with everything. Everyone was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Loads of activities to do at the resort.
Beautiful location, stunning views and beaches and around 2 hours away from the airport.
Rooms were lovely, always kept clean and a lot of detail put into adding extras like leaving flowers with towels, towels folded in nice designs. Only disadvantage was 2 rooms being right next to each other and can hear next door quite easily.
Service was outstanding, all the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you to ensure your holiday is as relaxing as it can be, can't fault anyone there or their service.
Dining areas are very pretty and their meals are absolutely delicious with a great range on their ala carte menu, and daily specials of the day.
Overall this is an amazing resort to stay at with so much to offer if you want to completely unwind. Loads of activities throughout the day and daily entertainment. Staff are all so friendly and easy to get along with and great to talk to.
Will definitely stay there again.
We had the best week ever. Hideaway was a fun place to stay with activities from morning til night. The staff created a very happy fun filled environment for everyone. Our room and other facilities were more than adequate for our needs. There were plenty of food choices. Friendships are easily made because of the happy vibe. Well organized tours all transfers punctual. We will go again.
Had a fabulous time location wonderful suited to all types of travellers except those wanting the bright lights of a city.
Beautiful place! Wonderful staff! Thank you for organising our anniversary! Will definitely go back!
We have had the most amazing holiday. Wouldn't change a thing. All staff went over and above everyday not only with us but with my son 18months old. My partner and I were blown away by there generosity. Rooms and food were great.
This is our new yearly holiday destination.
Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa is a beautiful and extremely friendly place to stay. This is my third stay and will definately be returning for my fourth.
Fine for a week of family fun.
It was a fun holiday. Kids really enjoyed the break.
Awesome spot to stay. The most beautiful people.
Fiji Hideaway is the only resort on mainland owned and run by Fijians. Operations Manager Joana was very helpful attending to our needs. The Bure's are very roomy and functional with the use of air con or shutters on windows for that natural sea breeze.
I made use of the outdoor wet area a couple of times.
Our most enjoyable part of our day was late afternoon down by the lagoon relaxing in the chair-in-the-air (hammock). Before long the boys with their guitars would be singing to us whilst the sun goes down. Can't get much better than that !!
Vinaka Hideaway,
Had a most enjoyable stay.
We had a wonderful time at Hideaway and would def go back , the rooms are nice we had a frangipani bure and it suited our needs although it was right at the end of the resort and was a long walk to the facilities we would next time book one closer to the pool end of the resort , wait staff we amazing they couldnt do more for you and the spa was great we took advantage of the 1/2 price full body massage twice that week! Vinaka to all the people who made our stay enjoyable!
Fiji was fantastic, every single worker at the resort were very welcoming, happy, nice, happy and helpful.. I've never stayed at a resort where every single
Worker would greet you with a hello, morning, a smile and goodbye everytime u pass them.. The service was awesome! I would definitely stay there again.. Fijian people are always happy even when they don't have everything we have here in Australia, was definitely a eye opener and awesome cultural experience I enjoyed every minute of my stay there and wished I stayed longer.. Was sad to leave them and say goodbye as it felt like I was saying goodbye to my family..
Beautiful resort and lovely staff. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be coming back and telling all our family and friends about Hideaway!
We had a great time the staff couldn't do enough for us .
ALL CREDIT TO THE STAFF VERY WELCOMING THANK YOU
We stayed 11 nights and enjoyed it all. I highly recommend the activities, they allow you to appreciate the culture and have a lot of fun. I really liked the happy hour activities that get everyone talking and laughing. The kids club was great as they time a movie after the kids eat so that the adults can dine in peace if desired! The snorkelling just out the front of our bure was great and kids built sand castles every day. Had a great holiday.
Location is fantastic. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. As they say you go as a guest and leave as a friend. Highly recommeneded
We travelled with my 3 and 5 year old and they loved the pool. There are activities that you can join in, or not, as you wish. We didn't really use the kids club but had a great babysitter a couple of times. The kids ate for free and the meals were fantastic. Very good value at the "quick bite" booth by the pool and very delicious. A very relaxing and easy holiday for all!
The local people are lovely, welcoming and humble.
Enjoyed my stay. Staff very friendly and efficient., Bathroom needs updating and shutters hard to open and close.
Very enjoyable, all the staff were very friendly and fun to be around.
What a great resort, perfect for families and perfect for weddings and a family holiday all in one. Had a fantastic time, bar staff are absolutely awesome and can't figure out how they remember your name after one night! Rooms are great, they are currently being renovated and we got one that hasn't been done yet, but was still good. I've seen the renovated rooms and they are beautiful. I think we will be going back in the future!
Loved my time at Fiji Hideaway with my Partner, that staff really make it, they are all so friendly, we got our room upgraded for free (YAY) which was amazing. Lots of activities to do, visiting the local village and seeing some genuine Fiji culture is a real plus. Cost wise it was affordable for anyone, at times the food was not top notch, but cant win everything. Lots of laughs to be had from the friendly staff and they always recommend things to do and help you have a good time, or they will let you rest and relax :)
Thank you so much Fiji Hideaway ill be back!
From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen the right resort. The staff were all so friendly, the accommodation great, the location lovely and the meals fantastic. The daily activities were very good and the nightly entertainment was great. Happy hour and trivia are a must as is the fire lighting ceremony which starts happy hour. A massage is a definite must and I recommend asking for Mita. The best massage I have had. We only wished we could stay forever with these lovely people.
My sister and I both enjoyed our stay very much.
Great family atmosphere.
We enjoyed the entertainment everynight and especially the live band that does the serenading every evening before six.
The children are well looked after and are included in many activities.
Vinaka vakalevu.
This resort is excellent value for money. Meals are good and the service excellent. Some rooms need to be given a revamp but still are very comfortable and liveable. This is my 3rd trip to fiji and 2nd to hideaway and will definately be returning. Great for families.
Daughters wedding. It was the best. We all had a great time. So relaxed . The food and entertainment was outstanding.
We had a great time at our stay at Fiji hideaway resort and spa. The staff were super friendly and couldn't go out of there way enough to help us in anyway possible.
Very friendly staff. We stayed in the deluxe beachfront rooms and found them bright and well maintained. The food was the only letdown for us.
The friendliest place I have stayed in Fiji. The staff and even the guests are all like family!! It's a fantastic place to visit. Wish we could have stayed longer. I'll be recommending the Hideaway to all of my friend, family and anyone who wanting to have a fantastic holiday in Fiji.
Truly a great resort in a great location with friendly staff and excellent food... just watchout for the "Fiji Time" when attempting to plan for resort activities.
Loved the frangipani bure with an outdoor shower. Gardens were beautiful and staff were great. Food was lovely but a bit pricey.
We had an amazing time at the hideaway, loved everything and made some great friends. Would def recommend to anyone and everyone. Will be returning very soon.
A wonderful stay once again. Although the building is showing it's age it adds to the character of the place. Wonderful staff and great value with the inclusive package.
Entertainment was also very good but more of the live band would have been nice. We will be back.. Again!
We wanted somewhere to go for christmas with another couple and did not want to stay at a hotel style resort. This was clean and the staff attentive.
Had a wonderful time at the Hideaway Resort. The staff were helpful all the time. The food was plentiful but a bit more variety would be good. We would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Fiji and will return again
We had a wonderful time at the Fiji Hideaway Resort. The staff are absolutely beautiful. Food was great ( we were on the all inclusive). Kids had a ball. We are already looking to return next year!
Good package at the last minute, Helpful website, Nice staff in Fiji and family based
great for all ages, alot to do and the staff are fantastic
i love that this resort has all the comforts and great service you need but is not as impersonal as a large resort stay. i feel like i got to know the fijian workers here and they knew me too. love the spot on the coral coast.
Would recommend hideaway to anyone just had ten nights at hideaway including getting married can not say enough about the staff there moto come as a friend leave as family is exactly how we felt when leaving was sad to leave you will not get better staff and service anywhere and it starts from the top with there lovely resort manager Joanna if you are thinking of going to fiji this resort should be number one on you list to stay at you will not be disappointed
Had a great time would go back.
Wonderful staff and beautiful surroundings. I can't praise this place highly enough.
They live by their motto " Come as a visitor & leave as family". Could not have been made to feel more welcome by every member of the staff. Grounds are kept spotless and food may not be 5 star but is varied & plentiful. Recommend the food & drink package. We'll be back with 10 of our mates next year.
Loved our stay at the hideaway, great friendly people and it was so relaxing :-) we will be back!
Overall a relaxing and low key resort. May not suit 5* accomodation or tech/tv dependent travellers.
Great place really enjoyed it
We loved our stay at Hideaway we had our grandchildren and they were never bored the meals were great we will be going back.
Good value
very friendly staff and their service is top, excellent!
Staff friendly but they operate on Fiji Time ! Pool needs a permanent Life Guard on duty. Slide is dangerous . Need signage to say where first aid kit is located. Pool was dirty due to the high usage. Drink and food took over an hour at dinner time to be served. We did have a great time despite the above but we would not go back.
Staff are lovely. Enjoyed the interaction with villagers near the resort
Very relaxing holiday, it really was a hideaway from the other big resorts. The beach was fantastic and the views were out of this world. Must definitely visit again.
This was our second trip to Hideaway, and we were not disappointed! It was great to see many of the same staff - who remembered us, and greeted us like family. We will return to Hideaway - as while it is not a 5 star resort - the staff go the extra (10) miles to ensure you have a great stay.
Was a beautiful place to visit and stay would recommend for family and couples.
This property had a lovely warmth. Staff were so friendly and remembered you by name everyday. Pool area could do with a little maintenance but pool was lovely. Beach area superb. Ocean view Bure needed some work especially in the bathroom but great location and nice views. Food was nice but sometimes the food at dinner was a little dry and over cooked. Breakfast was great. Good for kids. We took kids aged 3 1/2, 14 and 15 and they loved it. Good kids play ground and kids club room although we did not use the service. Great stay and would definatley stay again but maybe upgrade to a bit better room.
Property was as described and met expectations. Welcoming and friendly staff.
this is my 9th visit to Fiji and 3rd to Hideway, great to see new pool and spa area, the resort still needs minor attention and extra lighting in outdoor dining area overall we had a lovley 9 days and would not hesitate to reccommed to any person or persons travelling to Fiji
Hideaway resort is excellent. Staff were very kind and friendly. the location of hotel is a bit far from the airport, but the place around hotel is beautiful view and very good environment. We were lucky as we could chose this resort as even this is our first trip to fiji. We definitely come back Hideaway resort on next trip to fiji.
Our trip was a surprise birthday present for my husband and the resort went out of their way to assist and ensure it would be great. We also booked the fishing charter just for us and they were happy to accommodate my special requests.
Recommend to anyone as an excellent all found holiday destination.
My son went to the Hideaway for his 40th two years ago and rang and said he and his partner were going again this year would we like to go. Of course we said yes I would have to say it was the best holiday we have ever had, we were spoilt and I know we will go back.
The food was great the over all variety is very limited the breakfast is fantastic. The location was beautiful but it was a 1.45 minute drive to the hotel. The staff are all nice and are very accommodating the only down fall is the food and drink service is very slow I would recommend buying 2 drinks at a time. The activities the hotel offer are great and are always differents the night shows are fantastic.
surf break very local (expats) dominated.
I wouldn't go back when waves are good it just like hassling at home. Good for kids and relaxing for the wife. Food is know were as good as four years ago, every one of the five of us got the runs at one stage.
We stayed at hideaway for 2 weeks sept 2012 (30th wedding anniversary) we booked a frangipani but was upgraded to a delux ocean front rm 302. This was amazing we were at far end of resort which was fantastic, since every where you want to go is just a short walk around the resort.. we checked out the frangipani rooms. beware they look nothing like the photos on line. we are looking at returning approx march 2014 but would like to stay for 3 weeks but unfortunately wouldnt be able to afford to stay in the delux ocean villa so will hv to stay in a frangipani or maybe a beach villa?? either way cannot wait to go back.. love it love it
lance and jeanne doyle

Hi, we enjoyed our stay at the resort. We booked a Frangipani bure but were upgraded to a beachfront villa. It was lovely and a few metres to the water. Our bure didnt have glass windows so we had a breeze all the time. Most of the beachfront villas have glass windows that dont open- this doesnt make sense to me.
The meals are average as they are spoilt by sauces etc that mask the flavour of the fish or meat etc. Dont drown the food in sauces! Simple is best. We were happy not to buy the meal plan as it was too much food for us.
The entertainment in the evening was fine.
I think the pool is too small especially when the resort is busy. Some loungers on the beach at low tide would be handy.
The staff are lovely and welcoming.
all good at this coral coast resort
Fantastic stay. Friendly saff and SO relaxed. If you are looking for stuffy plush surroundings with heaps of people STAY AWAY! This resort is friendly, relaxed and the staff end up becoming friends A REAL HOLIDAY Cant wait to go back
A few improvements from last year & been painted & spruced up .Live shows at night by staff are excellent.
We went to Fiji for xmas & new year to have a break & just relax but we got more than we expected. The staff are very helpful & friendly. We didnt expect that we will be sad to leave.
Our holiday was wonderful, the resort world class and the Fijian people some of the most beautiful and friendly I have come across
great place to stay friendly people and service met some great people on island would stay again
We had the most relaxing time. I had teenagers, young children and toddlers with me and everyone was catered for...we had the best time
The Fiji hideaway resort and spa made our 6 days in fiji most enjoyable. So many activities and kind and friendly staff always willing to assist and make sure we all had a great time. Already recommended it to my friends and family.
All inclusive is worth it.
Travelling solo I felt I was looked after extremely well.
We loved our first trip to Fiji. We had to attend a wedding at The Outrigger and really appreciated the smaller boutique size if
the Hideaway as a result. The fijian staff at the Hideaway were fabulous.
I found this resort was a cheaper alternative to other resorts along the Coral Coast. I enjoyed my stay there. The staff were friendly and happy and I had great lobster one night! This is a great option if you are budget concious.
