Wow, this place was simply beautiful. Peaceful and serene and gave us that Island holiday vibe we were looking for. Our Bure was gorgeous, spacious with a deck overlooking the lagoon. With no tv or internet we disconnected for a few days from the world, strolled the island, sat under the beach hut, by the pool and relaxed. Food was all inclusive and selection was good. Enjoyed the cocktails and the friendliness of the staff.
Highly recommended Musket Cove for a lovely relaxing Island holiday.
This was my first visit and it definitely won't be the last.
I loved everything about this place. The garden bure was very private with a lovely balcony, outdoor shower, inside day bed and kitchenette.
All meals were included and were of exceptionally high standard. Each nightly buffet was themed and included lots of variety for vegans and vegetarians.
The staff are first rate and so keen to please. Remembering our names and room numbers.
There are lots of activities included such as snorkelling and non-motorised water sports. We used the SUPs for a morning.
The paid activities all seemed reasonably priced though we only did the deep water snorkelling which was great value at $35 FJD each.
I highly recommend the garden bures (we had number 51) for the privacy and price.
Beautiful island with amazing food and lots of activities to do
We were underwhelmed by Musket Cove. I thought that we would be able to swim right from the beach, but at low tide there was just a kilometre or so of sand flats, and at high tide it was still too shallow for a decent swim. The swimming pool is a bit small to cater for all the guests and was usually full of little children. Not nearly enough sun loungers by the pool - and the loungers were 'booked' with towels and clothing from early in the morning.
Wifi is only available at reception and either of the two restaurants and even there it was pretty slow. We had problems connecting to it every day, and we would have been using it more often than usual because of the lack of anything else to do. We did read lots of books though.
The beach bures were nice and bed was comfortable. Aircon and ceiling fans were provided. The bathroom was also ok but the water pressure was terrible in the shower. The shower also smelt because of the drain - it would gurgle away for hours and we assume there must be an external issue with the plumbing.
There are some walking tracks so we did have a walk every day, but there wasn't much to look at while we walked. You can walk to the next resort very easily - Plantation Resort, which was a real family resort but a bit noisy.
Sandbank snorkelling was good - free but you have to book. We also went on the island hop -$85 per person - you can see all the other resorts around the Mamanukas, and you stop at one of two for a while. Also included in that trip is snorkelling off Honeymoon Island, and that was really good.
We went for a week and it was too long. If we had been able to go swimming every day it would have made a difference. After all, if you go for a holiday at the beach, on a lovely tropical isle, you do expect to be able to swim in the sea.
Rooms must be vacated at 10am on the day you leave, and they are very quick to cut your wifi access. We caught the ferry that departed at 8.45am and our wifi was cancelled before then. If you take the 8.45am ferry you can spend a couple of hours or more in Denarau Port - lots of restaurants and shops there, and free hi speed wifi.
Musket Cove is a quiet warm and welcoming resort. So absolutely relaxing. All the staff are so caring. The food is abundant and delicious. A glorious resort just to unwind and forget the hustle and bustle of home.
Lagoon villa gorgeous. Staff friendly. Loved The Musket Cove Island Bar. Pool lovely (swim up bar, not open all the time). Breakfast ok. It lunch and dinner's were great but pizza was AMAZING and can have delivered to the Island Bar. Resort was clean and beautiful and a fantastic place to rejuvenate and soak in the island vibe. Only downside is at low tide there is NO water at beach infront of the resort. This mean no water craft or swimming for hours throughout the day pending tide times. Otherwise absolutely stunning.
A surprise welcome by music and singers, check in very efficient, bags taken to Bungalow. Big surprise on arrival at the bungalow the bed was decorated in a message of congratulations on our anniversary in cut pieces of palm frond quite spectacular. After a rest we ventured over to the Dining area and were welcomed by the staff who gave us all about meals. The meals were exciting and were large, the salad bar in the evening had every possible vegetable the choice was good. The breakfast omelets very filling and were just great. The whole resort was very tidy and when you consider the rain and wind thanks to the cyclone off Vanuatu the resort was very tidy in all we would recommend this resort to any one looking for a relaxing stay
Going to Fiji for the first time brings many overwhelming choices regarding accommodation. But Musket Cove was 100% the best choice that we could have made. As a couple with no children, we were looking for somewhere to relax and detox from tech, and we found a little slice of paradise. The staff are all so amazing. Remembering your name, asking how your day is and going out of their way to make it not just a holiday but an experience. Nothing is too much of an ask. Their warm and welcoming smiles and beautiful singing make this a place to never forget. And the food! Oh my goodness! Everything is made with such love and care. Every meal is plentiful, with options for all dietary types available. Plus western tummies are taken into account, with care taken to safely prepare anything requiring water. I have never eaten so well! There are ample activities available at the resort, with the option to day trip and island hop for a cost if this is what your heart desires. The rooms are what you expect and fitting for the surroundings, with caretakers doing their best to update and freshen up rooms during the low season. The only thing that would make the rooms better would be newer pillows. Mosquitos are also plentiful, and while the resort does their best to minimise their impact (including providing aerogard where possible), taking some good repellent is recommended. Though the boutique also sells a beautiful natural repellent which is worth the spend. As another guest mentioned on our visit, you just can't be mad in such a beautiful place! We are already planning our next trip back, and cannot wait to return!
Amazing holiday, very friendly and helpful people. Everyone was happy to help us in anyway they could. The food and service was excellent. Will definitely be back again
Musket Cove was a beautiful resort that felt like we were in in a village with 5 star amenities.
Customer service was outstanding. Food was outstanding.
Rooms were lovely but split systems need an upgrade.
We had a fantastic holiday at musket cove
If you want to be welcomed to a lovely family, eat great food, make new friends and discover how beautiful Fiji is then this is the place for you! So what are you waiting for? Turn off your tech and rediscover yourself.
We work hard and long hours - dosnt everyone so to find a time to stop and escape from the fast pace of work and just stop disconnect and regenerate was a wonderful opportunity for both of us. Musket cove is a great place to connect with nature and people. They welcome you with open arms and remind you of the power and of humanity to connect with each other and remember how important it is to belong
Thank you to the wonderful family at musket cove we will definitely be back next year! Thank you to the team at travel online who managed this booking throughout COVID lockdowns
Everything was done to ensure we had a wonderful time
Now it is back to work but the planning for next year is already underway!
So relaxing so lush and green such friendly staff the selection of food and presentation was good we will be back vinaka
We were truly happy with the holiday every thing one could wish for will go back again .
I must admit, I'm biased. Musket Cove is our go-to destination in Fiji and has been for many years.
The location is fantastic, staff brilliant and helpful and there's plenty to do or not to do.
Loved it at Musket Cove. We were fortunate to receive a room upgrade. Accommodation, facilities and service were great (particularly the housekeeping staff and the staff in the main restaurant). Nothing was too much effort for the team, and they quick to resolve any issues.
The staff are amazing and so friendly, atmosphere is perfect with the beautiful resort grounds.
What a great resort, very friendly staff, great food and atmosphere. The resort surroundings are great for a walk amongst nature.
Everything about Musket Cove was fantastic, the very friendly and helpful staff. The food was terrific and a lot of variety. Transport to the island is perfect.
We will definitely be going back to Musket Cove a fabulous place with a great atmosphere.
Musket Cove was a fabulous place to stay for our first holiday in a few years. Previously we had stayed at Plantation Island (just around the corner), and loved it. Musket Cove was the perfect choice this time around.
The staff were beautiful and could not have been any more helpful. We were upgraded to a Villa, which was fabulous. We would definitely choose this option next time.
Facilities were clean, and provided all that we needed.
Everything was well layed out on the island.
Vinaka!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay at Musket Cove. The atmosphere was friendly but the service was still excellent and we felt thoroughly looked after. Our room was very well appointed with everything we needed and we loved looking out at the water everyday. We enjoyed the daily snorkling trips - the reef and fish were fantastic. We had meals and drinks at Dick’s, Trader Cafe and the yacht club and loved them all. We also liked having the option to shop at the Trader store and ordering a BBQ pack and having our own BBQ - the best reef fish I have eaten! Breakfast each day by the water was a great way to start the day and had a great selection. We loved every part of our stay including walking around the island and enjoying the amazing views. We wished we did not have to leave as we felt so looked after and the location was so amazing.
The property was well looked after and staff were continually gardening and tidying. Room was in a great position and size. We would suggest to have a phone, & a do not disturb sign available to be able to use.(housekeeping come at different times so hard to relax and have a nap) Restaurant was in a nice setting around the pool and had fantastic food, as did the cafe at the marina. Musket cove grow lots of fruit and veggies themselves and the eggs are also fresh from their farm, so quality food is a result! The Staff were all friendly. It was a shame the tide took the beach away a lot of the time, but you could walk elsewhere for example to plantation resort. We travelled when it was supposed to be the best weather, but unfortunately got a very mixed bag of windy, cloudy, rain and sun. It wasn’t postcard perfect but you can’t predict the weather.
A very laid back, calm resort without the large holiday crowds (in mid September). Garden bures are a bit dated but still lovely. Staff friendly and accommodating. Dining at Dicks was great, clean and good value. Would stay again but would likely choose a beach bure or villa instead.
A beautiful part of the world. Staff were exceptionally friendly and always happy to help. The Island Bar is a unique feature with a vibe all its own. Every photo taken looked exactly like those in the promotional material.
Amazing property and loved it, great staff, beautiful property and would definitely recommend it to others. The Bures were amazing and very personable check-in process. Limited dining in the evening - Dick's place was fabulous and amazing staff but very expensive meals comparatively with other hotels we stayed at of same quality.
This was a real find. We will return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Musket Cove. Friendly staff, well maintained rooms, and good range of activities. We’ve stay at 3 different resorts over the last 7 years and this was the best
Our family had an amazing stay at Musket Cove with plenty of activities and dining options we will definitely be back!
Beautiful staff and lovely resort
A great stay that would suit couples who want to chill out
SERVICE IS GREAT PEOPLE ARE GREAT
Always as relaxing as you want to make it or as adventurous as you may require.
Great place to stay, Great staff.
Beach Bure spacious, staff very friendly,
Loved our stay here.
Quiet and relaxing, great rooms and service.
There were stunning sunsets, amazing nature and climate, swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, paddling the board.
Very relaxed time great amenities and lovely friendly staff.
A huge thank you to Musket Cove staff, Joe, Emily, Richelli (reception) Joe and Api (activities), Naso (room services) and the rest of the staff working behind the scenes who made our stay one to remember. We were looked after super well!! Favourite place EVER, we will see you next year again for sure.
Our family of 4 loved Musket Cove. It is a great sized resort - not too big or too small. The food was excellent and we loved having the option of buying rotiserrie chickens and bread/other supplies from the little supermarket if we wanted to make our own sandwiches etc. The snorkelling at the sand bar was perfect with the kids as the water was calm and there were many fish. We also enjoyed some walks around the island which had amazing views. Although the beach is tidal, the mud flats at low tide were great fun for the kids as they could wander around and see starfish & crabs. We stayed in a garden villa which had 2BR and 2 bathrooms. It was spacious and was well serviced daily. The villa was closely located to the pool/main restaurant and was surrounded by large grassy area. The staff are always friendly and you can't help but relax. The free wifi in the restaurants is sporadic so we chose to disconnect from the world for the week. Bliss!
Place was great especially if staying in the Beachfront Bures. Comfy beds. Staff were all outstanding, went over and above what they needed to do.
This was our 6th stay at Musket Cove Resort (1st in 1991) and it gets better every time! The food offerings are improving a lot but still need to refine the delivery.
Great spot will be back.
Musket Cove was a great place for a relaxing week away. The pool was exceptional as was the breakfast. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and friendly and the place had a very authentic Fijian feel. The room (garden bure) was large and had great air conditioning. The weather in this area of islands is also better than the mainland from what we saw. Having a little supermarket and the cafe in addition to the restaurant was also very nice.
If I'm looking for negatives, the restaurant was a bit expensive especially the buffet nights (although tasty), and the beach at the front is quite tidal so often you can't swim there through the day, although we didn't mind that.
We would love to return to Musket Cove.
We loved Musket Cove Resort, the staff the traditiinal Fijian Bure with outdoor shower the food especially the pig roast night with entertainment and kava and also we loved the manager/staff welcome drinks night too. We did the free snorkelling to the sand quay and the free cooking class made Kokoda delicious also the visit to the organic garden farm and kayaking the gardens are amazing with lots of beautiful shade trees the breakfasts were outstanding everything you could want most days we skipped lunch. Ate at Anandas near airport and drinks are cheapest at MCYC Island Bar but overall price of food and drinks are reasonable resorts at Denarau are more expensive and the location ie Mamanuca Islands stunning we did a day Island hop and hooked up with a local .... had an amazing time
A beautiful well kept relaxed resort. Staff are fabulous and friendly and the daily snorkelling trips are magic. We will be returning.
We visited Musket cove in the first week of November 16. It was very hot! We had a wonderful stay, awesome staff, beautiful location. Can't wait to go back.
We had a wonderful stay at Musket Cove with our two young boys (age 1 and 3). The staff were absolutely wonderful and friendly. The room was perfect for a young family and the resort facilities were excellent.
had a great stay thanks. Kids club could do with a one stop drop off area eg with playground
Recently, I have spent 6 nights on Musket Cove. It's a perfect place to relax, lying on the beach, snorkelling around the island, paddle-boarding, kayaking or being participate on different activities which are held twice a day. I loved weaving basket, trying fresh coconut water, cooking local meals or riding around the island. There are tours to the close village where you can meet the real Fijian life and local people, learn their habits and buy souvenirs from them.
I was amazed by varieties of breakfast options. The fresh baking products taste just like in my home country. If you want to shopping, you can do it on the supermarket or just buy some souvenirs in the boutique.
Thank you so much Musket Cove to make my holiday perfect! Special thanks to Joe and Mans who are the best!
EXCELLENT LOCATION, EXCELLENT STAFF, DINING, SERVICES, ACCOMMODATION.
THIS IS 5 STAR ALL ROUND WITH A 4 STAR PRICING.
WELL DONE
We've been to musket a few times and keep going back. The staff are just beautiful people and make our stay great.
We had a great stay here for a week - despite it raining for 4 days when we arrived!
Once the rain cleared though and we could see the blue of the ocean - WOW!
The location is pretty spectacular, a short stroll to the beach and the pool and other amenities. The staff are friendly, attentive and lovely especially to the kids - you get treated very well.
We went with a 3yo and 9mth old and while there is no kids club there were several activities for both adults and kids during the day (outside of swimming or water actitivites).
We had a garden bure and it was really nice with a lot of grass in front for miss 3 to run around on.
The rooms are spacious and serviced daily to a really high standard, they don't have a TV and wifi only avail near the pool so really nice to be able to unplug for a while. Kitchenette is basic with sink, small fridge and kettle + tea and coffee.
Loved our stay at Musket Cove. So easy from airport/Denaurau, lovely welcome. Delightful spacious garden Bure. Some drawers for clothes would have been good but we managed. Beds & pillows are a little hard but again it wouldn't stop us staying again.
Fabulous friendly service all day everyday. Very tasty menu...steak is excellent! Maybe less fancy & more choice would be good, after 7 days you're really looking for a change.
Also fantastic pizza at the Traders Cafe.
Although it was just the 2 of us, I'd totally recommend Musket Cove Garden Bures for families.
Very helpful staff. Beautiful resort. Very clean. All activities excellent!
Our stay was amazing! We wish we had stayed longer but it was our first time visiting Fiji. On our last day we rode through to the other resorts on the island and musket cove was by far the best value for money. All of the staff were really friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back to stay at musket cove in the future!
Excellent value all inclusive stay. New coffee shop and shop and foyer etc were excellent although coffee shop a bit noisy. Food shop and chickens etc made the stay even cheaper.
Highly recommend this resort and would certainly return in the future.
Beautiful location with several dining options available both within and outside the resort. Several lounging areas to relax in. Great Island Bar.
Beautiful place. Transport to and from Plantation limited so easier to walk however we were there for a wedding and we absolutely hot and sweaty from the small walk.
Would have been nice to have normal island food as western quality food was not great and expensive for what it was
Overall very nice resort. The island has beautiful and well kept tropical gardens, mangroves, mudlands, nice beaches and is surrounded by plenty of corals. Service is as expected exceptionally friendly and also professional. Dining out unfortunately did not fully met expectations in quality as well as variety. Overall still a very nice resort and recommendable.
We arrived a week after cyclone Winston hit Fiji. The resort had suffered mainly garden and grounds damage and the bures looked fine. The lagoon in front of the resort was beautiful and the water looked pretty clean. There was no shortage of drinking water as you could buy bottles of Fiji water from the resort as well as the nearby supermarket. We had a very relaxing time and tried the kayakking, stand-up paddle boarding, hobie cat sailing and snorkelling where we saw lots of colourful tropical fish and beautiful soft and hard coral. The staff were very welcoming and friendly - it certainly must be very hard for them as some came from villages which had been devastated by the cyclone. We also managed to do a few dives with Subsurface Fiji and there did not appear to be much damage, if any, to the beautiful soft and hard coral. All in all, we had a great stay at Musket Cove and will definitely come back to stay again.
What a wonderful week. Although the weather was changeable, as expected in the wet season, we had a most enjoyable week. Musket Cove is well presented, the staff are fun to be around and we enjoyed the relaxed facilities.
Very friendly staff and very relaxing resort!
Stayed as a family of 4 in a garden bure. Location and activities are great, sea and beach are wonderful. Very safe for kids. Food and spa are a bit pricey, but this was expected on the islands. Beware of mosquitos, bring repellents with you.
We had a fantastic experience. The sheets were a bit like plastic but that was the only complaint we had. Take plenty of insect repellent and sunscreen. The food was a bit expensive.
Thanks for your valuable feedback. Unfortunately due to sourcing fresh produce from the mainland the meals can be a little higher on the Fijian Islands. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the resort.
Attended a wedding here and it was perfect! cannot get over those views
Spent five nights at Musket Cove with my partner in October. We couldn't have enjoyed the experience more. Like all Fijians the staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful and are more than happy to answer any questions or concerns. The resort is a great place to kick back and relax, whether by the pool, the beach or outside your own Bure. There are plenty of activities to do and the food at the main restaurant is fantastic, especially the weekly Thursday night pig on a spit!
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending musket cove to anyone. You won't regret it
Everything there is perfect. From the employees to the room. Recommend for everyone
Eat drink relax
Beautiful people, beautiful spot, great service ... amazing scenery about and below the water. Bure was spotless clean, spacious and in a great spot.
Very happy with the resort, staff & service. Our 2 bedroom villa was perfect. The grounds were beautifully maintained and staff very friendly. Would recommend to others.
Our holiday at Musket Cove was the best holiday we have ever had. Even the dull bits like checking in and checking out were a pleasurable experience, and everything in-between was fantastic. The staff are incredible. The atmosphere of the resort is relaxed, warm, peaceful, luxurious yet homely. The restaurant food is excellent and there are good choices when you don't want a full meal. Bit pricey all up, but for a special holiday worth every cent. Cant recommend it highly enough.
Great accommodation, food and staff. hardly can ask for more.
Excellant snorkelling and good water sports as the tide permitted.
We had one of the best holidays we have ever had while celebrating my girlfriends 50th.
I would love to go back next year for mine ..
This was our 4th stay at Musket Cove in 25 years. We have seen tremendous changes over that time, all of which have been for the better. Although it tends to cater more for adults (no Kids Club), children are welcome.
From arrival to departure an excellent holiday in all respects!
The outstanding service & hospitality extended by all the staff complimented a beautiful Resort that made our stay so admirable - thank you to everyone at Musket Cove!
We had a wonderful stay at Musket Cove. My wife and I took our one year old who was loved by all the staff. He was taken off our hands so we could eat or swim or snorkel, we hardly knew we had him. Amazing staff who love helping you whenever they can.
All of the staff at Musket Cove were wonderful. A very enjoyable stay.
This was beyond what we expected! We stayed in a garden bure and my god, it was beautiful! The room was spacious, aircon, the cultural patterns! Everyday our room was serviced and cleaned! We also discovered there was an outdoor shower :)
The location was absolutely perfect! There were about 3 other resorts nearby which we could walk to and meet other guests and also try their bars & restaurants. My bf & I went out to the staff quarters and played volleyball & touch football with them when they were not working. It was so much fun meeting everyone. Everything we wanted to experience during our Fiji trip was provided by Musket Cove! The snorkelling trips were great. We did the village tour twice so we could go back to give the kids some snacks, we also did jetskiing, parasailing (amazing view), Cloud9 etc. There was always something to do!
The food was great! Good quality and delicious, my only criticism would probably be having more dessert options (cos I LOVE dessert ha) WE LOVED THE PIG ON THE SPIT themed night!!! OMG ahhhh-mazing! They should have it twice a week. The entertainment by the staff was perfect!
The staff was the best part of our stay! We honestly got a little teary when we left because not only did they make our stay pleasant, fun & awesome but we arrived as guests and left as friends & family. All the staff at the restaurant & tour shed were absolutely amazing, Musket Cove are very lucky to have great and amazing employees!
Our only regret was not spending our entire holiday there instead of Crusoes!!!! Muscket Cove was the greatest ending to our trip.
absolute paradise, we stayed 10 nights with 3 small children; food was excellent, service was fantastic, the location was close to everything, entire family enjoyed the snorkelling ect. short jet boat ride from other resorts, sunsets were postcard perfect, the nanny was delightfull, highly recommend and would certainly return
My boyfriend and I stayed in a beachfront bure over new year and had an amazing time. The bure was far bigger and more beautiful than we ever imagined and the staff were fabulous - so friendly and helpful. The resort is perfect for couples wanting to relax, it's quiet but with enough going on and trips available. Food is a bit pricey but very good. Loved Musket Cove and can't wait to return.
It was the most beautiful location & the staff couldn't be more helpful & friendly. It was a wonderful holiday.
Our second return to Fiji but first time to Musket Cove Island. Beautiful lagoon room we stayed at, very clean and spacious. It boasts a spacious lounge and huge bedroom with bathroom. The many free activities were fantastic and we made use of it daily. The food was very good and reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We made use of the spa for treatments and my husband who normally doesn't like this sort of thing let alone massages asked to go back again which we did for the second time. Overall the island resort is an ideal place to have a romantic getaway but also very suitable for families with kids as well. Would recommend it to anyone to try it out for their first time.
Location great, very relaxing. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Food in restaurant was very good.
Such a warm and welcoming place. Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Thanks
The staff really make Musket Cove the best place to stay. The garden bures are spacious with air con and fans. Would most defiantly visit again.
What a beautiful island, beautiful people and beautiful food. Our bure was comfortable, clean and well serviced. The included activities like snorkelling off site and kayaking were brilliant. The chapel was simply divine, and the distance from the mainland was far enough to feel secluded but close enough so that you didn't waste hours getting there. My only minor negatives was that there was no shade over any of the pool and whilst the food was exceptional, the menu was limited for a long stay if solely choosing from the A la carte menu but there were Indian curry nights and traditional Lovo feasts (pig on spit) to break it up. Overall, exceptional. Will go back one day.
Great choice for anyone who appreciates a bit of space and tranquillity with their beautiful sunny Fiji holiday.
Great location for our family holiday. Weather was lovely, rooms very clean and tidy, loved the new island bar, enjoyed the snorkelling and village trips. We'll be back :)
My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and loved it. The staff were just outstanding, the service and general attitude delightful. You can do as much or as little as you like, it's truly a little piece of paradise.
It was an amazing place.....everything was perfect, from the moment we stepped off the boat until we stepped back onto the boat to leave. wow what a place... would highly reccomend
We loved our stay at Musket Cove, the service was fantastic, everyone was so freindly, and the facilies were outstaning. We stayed in a garden villa which was nice and spacey, and an easy stroll to the beach, restaurant and pool. Can't wait to go back! Great for Families and Couples! Loved that they had a different area for adults versus families at dinner time.
A really great resort with great staff and heaps to do that is included in the price.
Excellent facility and properly maintained.
The gardens and surrounds were excellent, stayed in a beach bure and had own hammock, sun lounges, tables and chairs that were part of the room so ours to use and not have to compete with the other patrons staying at the resort, activities good, food was excellent and varied from night to night. Provided free WiFi in lounge area if needed it. Staff very attentive and knew your names very quickly and could not do enough for you, extra little touches like daily plunger coffee and shortbread baked daily and brought to your room to have with coffee. Despite also catering for families did not feel that the resort was overwhelmed with families and children.
A great place to stay, beautiful island and warm friendly staff. Highly recommend staying at this resort. The staff are a great asset who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Terrific holiday thanks Musket!
You could do as little or as much as you wanted. Loved the free snorkelling trips twice a day and also the paid ones were great too. Only comment would be to change the menu - even alternative would be better. Service was excellent.
The friendly, caring staff definitely enhanced our stay
We had a wonderful stay at Musket Cove yet again.
The resort villas were great for a family of 5. Something for everyone to do. Great diving with subsurface Fiji. Dining was amazing and good value. Would highly recommend.
Thanks for a great stay and to Joanna form Travelonline for organising.
If you want a relaxing 7 day stay in Fiji stay at Musket Cove. 45 mins boat ride from Nadi is just the right distance to get away from the bustle of the main island and close enough to be a relaxing ferry trip. The resort was just the right size at about 55 rooms and you felt like you weren't ever fighting for pool space, a beach chair or a seat on the boat. The staff were very nice and took the time to look after you and get to know you. If you are after fast paced, highly organised days with regimental timing - this is NOT the place for you. Everyone is very laid back and operate on Fiji time - which you'll get used to. On one day we went island hopping and visited 4 other resorts - this was a great comparison and made us happy with out choice. There were a few things that could have been tightened up (like a fishing booking that got double booked) but the alternative was swimming in the sun in musket cove so wasn't hard to handle! Happy to reccomend to couples (as we didn't have kids) but was also family friendly for older kids from what we could see. They do charge resort rates on food and drink so take some extra spending money but we always got value for money. Final tip is stay in the Beach Bure's - they are worth the upgrade to look out the shutters at coconut palms and azure blue water every morning.
I stayed at Musket Cove Resort with my parent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at musket cove. The staff were always helpful and polite and the food was excellent.
We had an amazing time, 11 days in musket cove for our honeymoon. First class service, very friendly. Excellent facilities, great food. Fantastic that all the water activities were included in the package. Breakfast was always lovely and also included. We went a few years ago, hence returning for our honeymoon. Would definitely go again.
We have just returned had a wonderful time fantastic staff the dining is superb terrific for relaxing having been to Fiji on 4 previous occasions would highly recommend Musket Cove.
We had an awesome time at Musket Cove Resort.
We had stayed at Plantation Island a few years ago and whilst Plantation might have better sand/water (not as tidal as Musket Cove) Musket Cove is by far the better Resort. It is well maintained and includes more free activities than Plantation. We walked to Plantation to check it out and noticed that price for activities had increased remarkably since our last visit and they charge for activities that are free at Musket Cove.
Food was terrific and we noticed a few guests from Plantation came to Musket for lunch and dinner during our stay.
Plantation Island does however have designated childrens activities/club which Musket Cove does not have.
Its a beautiful resort. Quiet and perfect for couples
fantastic
We recently stayed at Musket Cove Island Resort for our honeymoon and we loved every minute of it.
We spent seven nights in a Beachfront Bure. The resort was beautiful right on the beachfront with a very large, saltwater pool. The restaraunt was wonderful, food was great and the Fijian friendly service was second to none.
The only issue is that it is tidal so swimming in the ocean is not always avaiable but there is always the pool.
Island Hopping Cruise is a must.
The resort was not too big and were not a lot of children about which meant you never felt overcrowded. The perfect relaxing Fijian holiday. Recommend it to anyone.
Fully recommend beachfront bure. Heaps of room just beautiful. Steps from the water. Staff soo happy and friendly. Muntz who played guitar took us for a walk around island in his spare time. Va from island bar remembers your name each time and what you drink. Overall a great choice to stay if total relaxation is what you are after. Prices not that cheap though some things same as home if not dearer.. Will definately be going back..
Couldn't been any happier, what a lovely choice we made, kids love every bit of it, to top it all, the resort manager Joe Mar, Grounds manager Apisai and the beautiful and lovely staff were great, so caring and understanding....we will be back no doubt....love you all...
A group of 7 ladies. Had a ball! Great snorkeling
Bulla! We had our babymoon at Musket and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the resort and the location which was beautiful, especially the sun sets which you could relax by the pool to enjoy or from the beach bures if stay in one of them. We were happy with all the meals we had, including the breakfast. The staff really made our stay extra special as they were genuinely very friendly and quite funny as well - Vinaka! If you are going to stay in a beach bure (which are fantastic - very traditional with all the mod cons) I would suggest going for the lower number bure's (18-22) as they have the best view of the ocean and the sunsets. The only downfall was the cove itself, it is very shallow to the point where there is no water at low tide and the water is not crystal clear like it is further out or around the island which you can walk to. The snorkeling boat trips are great and you get a chance to see the rest of the island. We stayed during the regatta which made for more events and dinner options. Its a great spot for families or couples that are looking for a very chilled out break. Over-all we loved our little fiji getaway at Musket cove and would recommend it to others. Vinaka to all the Musket Cove staff!
Our second visit to Musket Cove. Loved every minute of it. Great location with very friendly staff. Will be going back again!!
Just returned from a week at Musket Cove. I stayed at Musket Cove ten years ago and was pleased that we weren't disappointed second time around. This time we had our son and two grand parents. Staff were great in most cases and food was fine with a choice of a buffet or al carte most nights. Would be happy to recommend Musket Cove to a family or couple
we had a great time , and couldn't fault anything , our only issue was we should have stayed 10 nights instead of only 7
We had a fabulous time, plenty to do or nothing at all, wish we had a couple more days to fit in more snorkelling and a trip to cloud break as my husband loves the waves, the beachront bure was beautiful, the people beautiful, have to learn to be on Fiji time though as some things take a little longer ( ie a coffee at the coffee shack ) but in the mean time there are always lots of interesting people to talk to. especially the yachties who have stopped off from their adventures around the world. Would highly recommend but keep quiet too, don't want it to get too commercial, would be nice to keep it as it is.
Good resort
Excellent service friendly helpful staff
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Musket Cove. The location was beautiful and the staff were fantastic. In particular we would like to thank Loata, Leah & Lithey in Dick's Place restaurant. Manasa (Mance) and Sam the Gardener. What beautiful people!
We loved this resort. We had an Armstrong villa which fit the 5 of us very comfortably. We felt a bit like we were part of a village as this resort is spread out and despite the resort being reasonably full, we still had the feeling of being in a remote location with minimal people. We didn't have the feeling of the resort being overrun by kids (even though we did see some around, they were all very well behaved). The staff were friendly and we also found the prices of food etc to be very reasonable, much cheaper than at Port Denarau. Overall, a great stay.
The resort exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful. The accomodation (garden bure) was clean and well appointed. The location and surrounds were well maintained.
We loved our honeymoon in musket cove. The people are so friendly and it was very relaxing.
Would definitely return
What an amazing location, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location for our wedding. Would recommend Musket Cove if you are looking to have a gorgeous intimate wedding - our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Recommend the Lagoon Bures.
Absolutely loved it!!
Fantastic resort making this a dream holiday for us.
You could not wish for a better place to stay.
Airco in bedroom on the left was leaking water and towels need to be replaced. Some of them worn.
Loved it otherwise thanks so much
The views, staff, activities, weather, food, drinks, actually everything was perfect!
A great place to relax
Loved our stay, just thought it was important to mention that there is not ATM access so if going to the villages who only take cash, withdrawels should be made on the mainland. Also, important to know that more money should be taken to the villages for carvings and jewellery etc and tourists should not be advised to take small change. Definately not the case!
FABULOUS. Was 75% full at the time of our stay and yet so quiet and peaceful. There's no kids club so you have to put the work in with yours, however you get it all back in spades as you enjoy the serenity. Good stretch of tropical blue beach; we never shared it with more than 6 people at a time. Garden bure was well located - within view of the beach - and huge. Pool overlooked by the restaurant so very easy to eyeball the kids and have a bite. Never any trouble finding a lounge at the pool and no nonsense with people leaving towels there at the crack and not using the chairs. Food was sometimes average and sometimes great, depending on what you order. The pig roast is not to be missed. And, of course, the staff was lovely.
We had a fabulous time and plan to return. The villas are a bit shabby, could do with a facelift. The staff were friendly, food at the restaurant was good.
We arrived two days altre Evan Hurricane and they're finishing to clean up....many trees are down but they are doing everythings to came back to normality. They clean swimming pool and put water again and in two days as Evan is neverwinter thouch the village.
Had a fantastic time. Mucket Cove is beautiful, the staff are lovely. The weather was perfect.
lovely relaxing holiday. Will certainly return next year.
beautiful location
fantastic to get away and forget about the world.
Laid back until the bogans teens arrived which thank goodness was our last day.
Had a wonderful time, everything was more than we expected, staff so wonderful, felt like you were part of their family, would highly recommend it to anyone
I spent 7 days with my girlfriend there we see it as our home away from home, the accomadation right on the beach was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we were made to feel special at every step.
The most relaxing holiday I have had, spectacular sunsets, great swimming and surfing.
