If you are transferring between Nadi & the islands and need a nights accommodation then this hotel is perfectly located! Great facilities, literally right across the road from the airport & friendly staff.
The only negative is showering….although beautiful showers there is an issue with the hot water. Night time the hot water is virtually non-existent & in the morning it's the luck of the draw….if your up early you may get hot water. For someone who loves hot water this was an issue.
Food was beautiful & reasonably priced. Drinks were good but like with many places in Fiji, they are a little overpriced.

We liked the close proximity to the airport. The Gateway is a beautiful open air style place with hamilton style set up. The staff are friendly but we would have appreciated a reply to our email within 24 hours and not 4 days later. However, once you're actually there we found all staff to be warm and courteous. The rooms are small and could use a curtain to separate the main bed from the children's bed so adults can have a light on for reading. The bathrooms were large and the room overall really quiet. Planes could barely be heard flying over. The large outdoor pool was a big hit for our family and truly enjoyed the slide. Please add more loungers and umbrellas though. Food was also delicious and served in a reasonable time.
We stayed here one night between our international and domestic flights, and it was so handy we spent the day here on our way back as we had an 8 hour day stopover. It has a good pool, rooms are clean and comfortable, very handy location opposite the airport with free shuttle.
Facilities and staff we re fantastic - shuttles at every point of our stay with minimal organisation by us. I.e. Airport to hotel and then again from Port Denaru to hotel.
Never heard the planes being that close to airport would stay there again

We spent one night here after flying into Nadi. We had the delux family room and was a good size and very clean. We enjoyed all the food there

We stayed at the gateway as we arrived in the evening and had a boat transfer the next morning! Great staff, room, meals and pool. We also came back on our return and got the day access rate. This made our wait with kids so easy, the pool was great to cool down, the rate was credited towards food and the free transfer was a great bonus!

We stopped here for one night after flying in and before travelling out to Plantstion Island. Gave us a good chance to reset and everything here was fantastic! Definitely would recommend.

We booked Fiji gateway to stop over on the way in/out of our Fiji holiday. Rather than rush from airport to transfer to our resort upon landing late in the day, we decided to stay across the road from Nadi airport at Fiji gateway hotel. The rooms are clean and well maintained, the food is exceptional quality and value, the pool was so good for kids with a great water slide and undercover screens, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We stay here each trip

From the moment we walked into the premises we were warmly greeted by Reception staff.
The presentation of the premises is 110% , staff and service was excellent and could not be faulted.
Rooms are very modern with all the necessities that are required.
Our only disappointment is that we could not extend our stay.
Definitely a great place to stay longer term as it's so close to all the local attractions at Denarau and surrounding areas.
Will go back to this particular resort on our next trip to Fiji.

Staying at gateway was our first night in beautiful Fiji, highly recommend as an overnight stay to break up the travel day, we only wish we had booked another night at the end of our holiday, will be defiantley coming back
The staff were fantastic and very accommodating.
Rooms were comfortable and very spacious. The king bed was a slive of heaven. The meals were a little on the pricey side and quite small serves.

Have stayed here previously and if you're after a good stopover hotel, this is a great spot. Rooms have been updated and great pool to cool off. Bar and dining areas were good too.

We were not expecting a lot, but were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is only a 5 min walk to the airport. The pool and tennis court are great. The room is very spacious and just refurbished. Bed was not comfortable!
I think they should include wifi in the cost. You could only use it in the lobby. Would be great if they had inhouse movies to purchase/watch.

Gateway is a must stay for people for a stop over or a few days before or after an island jaunt. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff extremely friendly and the food delicious. Yes, it's an older property, but outside is glorious. If your lucky to have the back rooms the view of the hills are glorious.

We decided to book a 1 night stay at the Gateway rather than trying to travel to Plantation Island in one day and it was the best decision we could make. It is literally a 5min walk across from the airport but they have complimentary shuttle bus available as well if you have a bit of luggage. Our room was neat, clean and comfortable for our family of 4. Pool was clean and warm. Drinks were affordable, as was food. The curry I had there was the best meal I've ever eaten in my life. Breakfast was also yum. Without a doubt will stay there again either prior to departure or when we first arrive.

We stayed at The Gateway Hotel when we arrived late afternoon in Fiji. It's just across from the airport and we walked over! The rooms are adequate and air conditioned. The gardens and pools and dining options are perfect! Family friendly, we spotted lots of children. The live entertainment around the pool and dining area was a pleasant surprise! We wouldn't stay more than a night or 2 though, because you're in Fiji right, lots more to do and see!

We had to stay here when Jetstar cancelled and moved our flights. It was literally 2mins walk from the air port, had 2 pools 1 with a kids slide, 1 bad and 1 dining space hug service was amazing and food was really nice. For the price of this hotel we thought it was amazing! Clean rooms, still lovely grounds around the hotel. Good if you were traveling to an island the next day. Very Wel priced abd great service.

Our 4th time staying at gateway in transit to plantation and home. Rooms clean and modern now. Kids love the pool with the slide. Food is pretty good but often slow.

Gateway is really lovely, and superbly located a short walk from airport. Lovely rooms, fantastic pools, and great meals and drink options, with lovely staff and live music to help kickstart your island holiday. We stayed 3 nights and did a day trip to eco trax and a day trip around Nadi and sleeping giant zipline and the mud pools. Gateway highly exceeded my expectations, and we would stay again. Only downfall is no shops in short walking distance. But a quick taxi to Namaka area is a great cultural experience and has all your grocery needs.

Who would have thought a hotel located right by the airport would be such a find!. We stayed overnight on way in and out to make other connections. Gateway had an authentic Fijian feel with live music, great pool and nice relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were big and very comfortable. The convenient location took stress out of onward traveling. Highly recommend.

Couldn’t ask for a better location just across from the airport. Kids loved the pool and the slide into the pool. Room was ok, would have been nice to be offered a upgrade into a closer room to the pool as the hotel was very empty. Room was dark but ok. Not easy lugging the luggage up the stairs. We stayed our last night here due to early flight. The hotel is opposite Nadi Airport and a shuttle goes back and forth to drop travellers off. The food was very nice and the dining and bar area were lovely to sit with fans and a quiet pool. The big pool has a waterslide that the my son loved and a big shade area over the pool. The rooms were clean and lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. I spoke to some other travellers who had just booked a "day room" to sleep freshen up before connecting flight. Very nice overall and staff very helpful

Great as a stopover hotel as is a five minute walk from the airport . The transfers collected us the very next day from the bus stop out of the front of the hotel . Clean bedding comfy bed but tiny room .
Located across the road from Nadi international airport, The Gateway Hotel was perfect for our purposes, as we arrived late into Nadi and flew out early. The pool slippery slide was a hit with the kids. Rooms were clean and spacious for our family. Staff were polite and courteous.
This hotel was nice enough, neat and clean but no frills. If you just need a one night stop over to catch an early flight or are coming in from a late flight then it serves that purpose well. My kids enjoyed the one day we had there and spent lots of time playing on the pool slide. The staff were lovely and restaurant had nice food. Prices were very reasonable.
Clean, tidy and very pleasant overnight Nadi transit stop to the Fiji islands. Great pools, bar and restaurant for meals. The room was large and very comfortable with a small patio overlooking the mountains.
On return from the islands a week later, we had a pleasant transit afternoon at the bar beside the pool before the flight home. A great convenient location to Nadi airport.
Fiji Gateway is always a wonderful place to stay either going to an island or returning. If only a few hours to kill after leaving PIR before your flight , using the pool and amenities is a great place to fill in time. Have a swim and a drink besides the pool. It's a great place to stay for a couple of days if doing a bit of sight seeing before your trip home. Situated across from the airport, you would never think it was there.

We stayed at Gateway before returning home. It was the perfect overnight stay. Kids loved the waterslide and pool, parents relaxed with a cocktail before an easy dinner at the restaurant. Courtey bus dropped us to the airport early the next morning. Was the perfect end to the perfect holiday!

We took 2 grandchildren and stayed in a family room. Just enough space for an overnight stay but the hotel has a good pool and a fabulous waterslide so we didn't spend much time in the room....aircon worked ok!

We have stayed at Gateway several times over the years. We continue to return, as we haven't found anywhere better for a short stay in Nadi. Handy to airport, courtesy van, clean & comfortable rooms, nice restaurant and lovely recently upgraded casual cafe/bar area, friendly and helpful staff...the list goes on. Would absolutely recommend.

The Gateway is a bit of a Fijian Institution, reminiscent of Colonial days. Very conveniently located, and surprisingly quiet. Accommodation is basic but perfectly adequate, staff are lovely and helpful. Lovely large pool and compact Gym. The restaurant is unexpectedly excellent, great selection of delicious dishes.

Our family of 5 stayed 1 night after returning from an island before heading back home on an early morning flight. The best things about the hotel are it's position opposite the entrance to Nadi airport & the giant water slide at the pool which would have entertained the kids had we arrived earlier in the day. The room's furnishings were dated but it was clean.

Small fridge, comfy bed, great size room, tidy hotel grounds with amazing staff. Prompt, attentive, polite, an asset to their company. Lunch was delicious, way better than we had eaten in another resort. They even helped to call the day spa place to confirm our booking. Even at our 5am departure they were lovely and we could not have asked for more.
We used this hotel for 3 nights to look around nadi and Lautoka. Bus stops right out the front made this so easy. Staff were lovely and the coffee shop was great for everything.

Plantation is great for families, very clean, plenty of options for kids and a beautiful place. The food options are a little limited but the quality was as expected and compared to places like Bali I would recommend Fiji to any family looking to get away.
This was a good location for getting off the plane late. It is too far away to go out to see markets or eat else where, but the meals there were OK and the kids got good use of the pool. Thanks.

Fiji Gateway Hotel is a mid-budget range comfortable stopover hotel with fairly nice rooms and great facilities. It's main feature is the lovely dining areas and an extensive range of reasonably priced meals to suit every budget. The food is great and the service excellent. Being right opposite the airport, it is very convenient.
We would stay there again, no problem.

Raffles Gateway Hotel is a convenient place to stay if your looking for accommodation close to the airport. The service was great and the facilities are good.

All staff are FANTASTIC and treat us as family as we have been there so many times.
It's great as a stop over being directly opposite the airport they have free transfers between the hotel and airport. Check in was really quick which was impressive.Not for long term stay. Aside from airport it's not close to anything else and taxis have become ridiculously expensive in the last 2 years.
It serves its purpose very well. We stayed one night to catch our boat the next day. Right next to airport and bus to marina. Pleasant, comfortable, nice staff and great pool. Would stay there anytime again if in transit to elsewhere.

Raffles Gateway Hotel is the best way to start or end your holiday if you are visiting the islands and you can't make the times work for your flight. We stayed one night at the beginning of our holiday to Plantation Island, but we would have been happy to spend another night or two there. Facilities are very comfortable and the staff lovely. Kids love the water slide.
We arrived early in the morning and the Raffles Hotel was a great recommendation for a rest until we were able to transfer to our hotel on Denarau Island later in the day.
We stayed two nights at Raffles as we were on a late flight and couldn't connect to our next destination until the next day. We decided we wanted to do a waterfall tour and so we added the two nights to accommodate for this. The hotel had a lovely feel, nice gardens and a beautiful vista of the Fijian mountains. The room was adequate and spacious, we didn't spend much time in there as our girls (3 and 1) were both obsessed with the waterslide! It was one of the highlights of my daughters trip. The staff were all so friendly and they adored the kids. Grace who worked on the tour desk helped us to organise a tour to the sleeping giant zip line which has a cascade waterfall. They were open until late at night (around 8pm) which was helpful. The reception staff were great, printing some emails for me and organising transport locally to get some supplies. The bartender was a gem. He was one of the nicest staff members I have ever come across. I wish I could remember his name! The dinner was very good, the breakfast was average but we would definitely stay again should we need to.

We travelled with four other families and Raffles Gateway Hotel was the ideal location to unwind after flying in from Melbourne and we stayed here night before tranfers to Mana Island. With a courtesy bus to pick up from the airport, very friendly reception staff and great facilties. The rooms were basic yet comfortable, pool, waterslide, bar and restaurant were great.
On our last day our flight home was delayed by 3 hours, we approached Raffles and they invited us in to use their facilities to kill time, and when travelling with kids, this was so awesome. Thanks again Raffles.

We only overnighted at Raffles as we have done before, the Deluxe rooms are just beautiful, clean and the beds are just so comfortable this resort only lacks one thing and that's good food, our dining experience was just terrible we sent the food back to the kitchen and ended up ordering something else , staff are lovely and the hotel is so convenient other than the dining options at the Raffles I would recommend this place defiantly!.

Central Hotel, close to shops, good as a base for day trips or a stop over. A little noisy with the road works. Wasn't impressed with the price, quality of food, and service in the resturant. We had issues with our free breakfast that was included in our package, it was sorted in the end. It wasn't buffet style, staff had to ask various times what we wanted, nothing was written down, more than once it came out wrong. We went out for meals. Room was clean, we had requested a room opening to the pool with balcony, but the four of us were put in a small studio type room on the side. Most of the rooms that were pool facing with a balcony were empty the five days we were there. Granddaughter loved the water slide, we all enjoyed the pool.

Good Location if you have to stay a night in Nadi before moving on.
Have stayed here several times and although most people use it as a stopover, we spend two nights here and enjoyed them by the pool. Unfortunately I was taken ill and the hotel arranged for my friend to speak to a local doctor. The doctor recommended I attend the hospital and the hotel provided a complementary taxi for all trips required to the hospital - something unheard of in Australia

You have a restaurant and bar that is also reasonably priced and offers a variety of foods. A good place to stay if waiting on transfers or in between stops during your travels.

I found Raffles to be in an excellent location and very little noise from the airport. There is a large pool and on a hot day it is so inviting. A bus outside the hotel will take you into Nadi for just $1 Aus. Staff friendly and always welcomed you by name. Great place to stay overnight or longer.
Only stayed one night on way to islands. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, quiet, food great, excellent pool area. Nothing to fault at all.
Perfect for resting before & after flights. Staff are lovely.
This property is directly opposite the airport and for adults an easy walk - no need for transfers. Have stayed here 6 times and is always wonderful.
Great for stopover on your way to or from your resort.

This was a good spot for travelers opposite the airport. Was nice, but I wouldn't want to stay there for too long nothing else close by

Great location to stay at in between flights and travelling to the islands/coral coast as it is right opposite the airport, you can even walk there to access ATMs and buy mobile phone cards. Great pool and waterslide and the indian curries at the restaurant are a must!

Perfect for overnight stay before transferring to island stay, clean and adequate, reasonably priced and just over the road from the airport so not too much travelling.
After spending a week on the islands, this hotel was perfect for our last night in Fiji to line up with out flights coming home. Straight across the road from the airport with free transfers to and from. Surprisingly quite considering how close to the airport you are. Room was neat with out being fancy and breakfast was also good. Great value for money. Would use again if in the same situation.
Front desk was efficient for our check-in, had lunch and laid by the pool for the afternoon. A far better way to spend a few hours than sitting at the airport and the room was not expensive.
We found this to be a good overnight stop only.

Efficient, lovely staff, well-priced, delicious food, beautiful gardens, great pool and slide. A great place to stay on your way to and from the islands.
The staff were friendly, there not that friendly in the bigger resorts.
Also cheaper than the resorts, but not much to do.
We stayed at Raffles for 2 nights upon arrival in Fiji and for 1 night before leaving. The location was excellent bejng right across the road from the airport with a free shuttle bus to and from the airport. Our room was clean, the airconditioner worked well, the bed was comfortable, although the lighting could have been brighter. The food was excellent and great value. Every staff member that we had contact with was very friendly and helpful. We will definately stay at Raffles again when we return to Fiji.
A good place to stay when awaiting onward travel
We have stayed at Raffles 3 times previously, the rooms are comfy, staff are lovely, food is yum, pool is awsome..... We will definately return.
Our last night in Fiji, the room was clean and spacious. The service was great and dinner was the best we had over our stay in Fiji. A great stay whilst waiting for your flights.
