We had an amazing stay at Cousteau. The resort is very beautiful and the staff are so friendly. We enjoyed all the complimentary activities, including snorkelling, kayaking, sailing, a village trip, market trip, and waterfall hike. Our 4 year old loved the kids club and his nanny, and we enjoyed some very rare kid-free time.
The people at the resort are genuinely friendly and leave you feeling like they take pride in ensuring that your time at the resort is an enjoyable and comfortable experience. We truly felt "hosted" as guests and not just "served". Plenty of options for how to spend your time so you can decide how much you want to do or not do while on vacation, including endless water-related activities, eco-related activities (resident marine biologists), off-resort excursions. Food was high quality (freshness and preparation) and good portion control. I did, however, develop a stomach issue which took me out of commission for 24 hours, which is a risk at a lot of vacation destinations. No one else in our family had issues. Best for families who take advantage of the kids Bula Club and anyone interested in diving/snorkeling, but you definitely don't need to fall into those categories.
After a fairly inauspicious start with our plane getting turned back to Nadi due to weather and a fair amount of child vomit on the flight we had an amazing time at Jean-Michel. The staff are amazing, it is fantastic for the kids, food is brilliant and the activities are top notch. We will be back!
