The Hawaii International Airport is located in Honolulu, on the island of Oahu. Approximately 40 minutes by car from world famous Waikiki Beach, the airport is home to two terminals. The main terminal caters for international arrivals and departures with the second, smaller terminal catering for domestic flights throughout the other islands of Hawaii.
Part of the United States of America, Hawaiian international visitors require a current passport to gain entry. The USA operates a Visa Waiver Program which permits international visitors from certain countries to enter Hawaii without a visa for a 90 day maximum. Visitors should note that any time spent in Canada, Mexico or mainland USA is also counted towards this 90 days. Application to qualify for the Visa Waiver Program can be done online a minimum of 72 hours before departure and approval is valid for two years.
