Located on Hedges Avenue, Mermaid Beach Surf Club is situated on famous ‘millionaire’s row’ overlooking the Pacific Ocean. With a reputation as the ‘local’s club’, the Mermaid Beach Surf Club is a friendly club with a strong focus on welcoming families. Attracting more than 80,000 visitors annually, the club has a total of 4,000 members with almost 800 active members and a strong contingent of approximately 300 Nippers aged 6 to 14 years.

Investing in the development of its younger members, Mermaid Beach Surf Club offers a great range of spots and youth activities including strong funding and programs for Surf Sports, Nippers and Youth Development. With their sights firmly set on becoming one of Australia’s premier surf life saving clubs, Mermaid Beach Surf Club is committed to fitness, leadership, team work and providing the best life savers to patrol gorgeous Mermaid Beach.

The attached Supporters Club is the perfect way for visitors and the local community to help contribute to the ongoing support of the Mermaid Beach Surf Club while having a great time as well. Boasting an excellent range of facilities, food and beverage services as well as a wonderful function venue, the Supporters Club welcomes members, visitors and new members to come and enjoy the facilities, friendly atmosphere and stunning beach.

With a balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Hedges Avenue, the Mermaid Beach Surf Club offers a unique beachfront location and houses a licensed bar and restaurant on the first floor of the clubhouse. A popular and affordable local dining and entertainment venue, the club has a strong focus on sports with a number of big screen TVs dedicated to AFL, Rugby Union, NRL and a variety of other sports.

Families are also well taken care of with a jungle gym, free PlayStation use and an indoor kids room.
