The Fitzroy Island Day Trip is the perfect option for those with little time wanting to explore the Great Barrier Reef while staying in Cairns. Depart Cairns for a day of fun and adventure at Fitzroy Island Resort. Enjoy the picturesque coastline views during the 45 minute ferry ride.

Fitzroy Island is over 330 hectares of tropical rainforest and dramatic granite bluffs that plunge into the water's edge. It is also home to a huge variety of native wildlife and marine life in the reef that surrounds. 96% of the island is protected as a National Park giving you plenty of nature to explore on land and in the water.

Day trip guests have access to some of the island resort facilities such as Foxy's Bar and the general store. You also have the option of bringing your own lunch, snacks and drinks to picnic by the beach. For an additional cost you can hire extra gear from the Fitzroy Island Sports Hub or book a tour of the Turtle Rehabilitation Centre.

Stroll through the stunning natural environment, relax on the beach, or explore the amazing world that awaits under the waters. This Fitzroy Island Day Trip includes complimentary fish feeding and nature walks to help you experience the Great Barrier Reef.

Departs: Daily from Cairns Marlin Wharf 8.00am
Returns: 5.00pm

Transfer time approximately 45 mins.

Check-in procedure for guests is to make your way directly the Fitzroy Island Booking Centre located at Shop 2/1 Spence Street at least 30 minutes prior to departure. A short walk will take you to the ferry departure point at Berth 20 on Marlin Wharf.
