Ginia Rinehart to Marry on Hamilton Island

The rumour mill is still in overdrive over the marriage of Ginia Rinehart on Hamilton Island, despite the nuptials taking place more than two weeks ago. Daughter of mining magnate Gina Rinehart and heiress to the family fortune, Ginia Rinehart set tongues wagging when she wed Simon Robinson in a ceremony on Hamilton Island on Saturday 18 June.

The youngest of four children to Gina Rinehart, Ginia we her former SAS soldier fiancé at the ultra-luxe Hamilton Island accommodation resort Qualia. While the wedding was attended by a who's who of the powerful and wealthy, guests included Agricultural Minister Barnaby Joyce and director of Fairfax Media Jack Cowin.

However not in attendance were Ginia's brother John or sisters Bianca and Hope amid a bitter legal feud within the family. This isn't the first time members of the Rinehart family have been missing from a wedding. Gina Rinehart was not invited to the weddings of either of her eldest children John Hancock or Bianca Rhinehart.

The family are currently locked in a bitter legal battle over the multi-billion dollar fortune. Ginia went against her siblings John, Bianca and Hope to side with her mother Gina. Ginia has previously publicly slammed her siblings as 'selfish' while in February, Ms Rhinehart was ordered by the court to give up privileged documentation regarding the $2.26 billion family trust to her eldest two children. The family's famous feud has now reached its fourth year and it appears Ginia's wedding has done nothing to repair the rift.

Hamilton Island and the five star Qualia resort is regarded as one of Australia's most idyllic locations for a wedding ceremony. Situated along the Great Barrier Reef, Qualia is famous for its luxurious accommodation and often hosts rich and famous guests. In fact, the resort is no stranger to famous faces, with Grammy award-winning pop star heavy weight Taylor Swift taking a break from the Australian leg of her 1989 World Tour late last year. Ms Swift relaxed in the luxurious setting of Qualia along with her family and more than 120 members of her tour crew.
