Weather

Characterised by a sub-tropical climate, Hayman Island enjoys beautiful year-round temperatures. The summer months from December to March are especially warm and sultry with January being the hottest month (28°C). This time of year also coincides with Hayman Island's rainy season, where an increase in temperature and humidity brings frequent showers to the area. February is the rainiest month of the year and is usually a quiet time to visit.

While the rest of Australia rugs up for winter, Hayman Island enjoys beautiful mild days, with endless tropical sunshine. A spectacular time of year to visit, June through to October brings cooler weather with temperatures sitting around 23°C, but the water is still lovely and warm and perfect for swimming and snorkelling.

Boasting warm temperatures averaging at 28°C, August through December is a very popular time to visit Hayman Island. Like many other tropical destinations, Hayman Island is busy over the school holiday and Christmas period where many families flock to the island. Additionally, September is a popular month to visit and provides optimal conditions for exploring the beautiful landscapes. Off-peak season generally occurs between January and March where the island is less crowded and accommodation prices are cheaper.
