Getting To Lady Elliot Island

Located approximately 80km north-east of Bundaberg off the Queensland coastline, Lady Elliot Island is a pristine island perfect for your next holiday escape. As the most remote Great Barrier Reef Island, Lady Elliot Island is a private island only accessible via small aircraft. Permission to access the island is only granted by the Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort, and no other flight access is allowed. Operated by Seair Pacific, Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort offers daily flights from Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast, Bundaberg, Brisbane (Redcliffe) and the Gold Coast (Coolangatta). Exclusive private flights are also available from Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast and Bundaberg, just chat to one of our friendly consultants to book.

By Car: The Bruce Highway runs from Brisbane to Hervey Bay and Bundaberg taking approximately 4 hours where you can catch connecting flights which depart daily to Lady Elliot Island.

By Tilt Train: Queensland Rail operates a Tilt Train service which runs daily between Bundaberg and Brisbane. Please note that due to recent Queensland Rail timetable changes, guests will need to stay overnight in Bundaberg before flying to Lady Elliot Island.

By Bus - Coach: Express coaches operate daily from Brisbane to Hervey Bay and Bundaberg with connecting flights to Lady Elliot Island available via Seair.

By Air: Regional airlines fly from Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Hervey Bay and Bundaberg, where they connect daily to Lady Elliot Island. Major airlines Qantas and Virgin also operate flights from all major Australian cities to Brisbane.
