Crescent Head Holidays & Accommodation

Renowned as a surfer's paradise, Crescent Head is a chilled out coastal town on the New South Wales Mid North Coast. Home to a point break famous the world over, Crescent Head is known for delivering one of Australia's longest rides. Attractions

One of Australia's National Surfing Reserves, Crescent Head is a favourite with longboard riders for its iconic, consistent waves. Held annually in May, the Malibu Classic is a big drawcard with Crescent Head claiming the title of one of Australia's most classic and longest right-hand point breaks. Either side of the headland, you can catch a wave at Racecourse Beach, Killick Beach, Big Hill Beach and Goolawah Beach. Of course there's more to Crescent Head attractions than just surfing, you can swim, fish and bushwalk in and around the coastal national parks. In fact, Limeburners Creek and Goolawah National Parks offer spectacular scenery as well as significant heritage sites for the Aboriginal culture dating back thousands of years.

Getting To Crescent Head

Located approximately six hours' drive south of Brisbane, Crescent Head is situated 437 km north of Sydney and an hour and a half from Coffs Harbour. The perfect place for a self-drive holiday, follow the Pacific Highway to Kempsey and take the turn off for Crescent Head Road which will take you straight into town. You can also access Crescent Head by bus or train, with two services operating daily from Brisbane and Sydney, stopping in Kempsey. Greyhound and Premier Motors also offer daily bus services to Kempsey where visitors can grab a taxi or local bus service for the short ride into town.
