The second longest running event in the region, the Noosa Jazz Festival is an annual event with a proud history of offering the cream of the crop when it comes to international and Australian jazz talent. Drawing musicians, music-lovers and holiday makers to Noosa every spring, this year will mark the festival’s 24th anniversary.
Held every year in September, the centrepiece of the Noosa Jazz Festival is located at The J in Noosa Heads. It features an exciting entertainment venue which is home to food and market stalls, masterclasses and main stage concerts. Other Jazz venues around Noosa include the Noosa Marina, Hastings St, Sunshine Beach, Lions Park, Noosaville Gympie Terrace and the Noosa River which is also the departure point for the popular Jazz River Cruises.
More than just jazz, the festival offers a variety of music genres including folk, blues and of course jazz and boasts a diverse program of events that also incorporates food and sightseeing into your enjoyment of the music. Festival goers can take part in talent searches, master classes, jazz cruises on the river, the legends lunch series and the popular ‘Tastings on Hastings’.
Get involved with the festival with the master classes on offer. These classes offer the opportunity for patrons, music-lovers and musicians to learn from the best, receiving tutelage from some of the masters of the entertainment and music industry. Hear from women of the entertainment industry, sing a cappella with Idea of North and learn boogie woogie piano from Jan Preston.
The Noosa Jazz Festival welcomes you to its friendly village atmosphere and to experience the many official events in and around Noosa.
