About Orpheus Island
Easily accessible from either Townsville or Cairns, helicopter transfers will provide a scenic 30 minute (Townsville) or 90 minute (Cairns) flight over the Coral Sea towards Orpheus Island. Once on the island, it's well known in the region for its reef, game fishing, dive and snorkelling sights. The island's dive sights are home to some 1100 species of fish and 340 varieties of hard corals. It also homes one of the region's largest collections of soft coral.
