Generally April to September is the busiest time to visit Samoa due to the lower levels of humidity so Flights and accommodation book quickly. If you're looking to visit Samoa during peak season, we recommend booking at least six months in advance to get the best holiday deals and value for money. Between the months of December and January, many Samoans living abroad return home for the festive season. Off peak season usually occurs between February and March which is still traditionally the wet season.
Samoa is close to the equator and as such enjoys warm and humid weather all year round. The Summer season falls between November and April, while the Winter lasts from May to October. Summer also coincides with the rainy season throughout December to February where heavier rainfall usually falls.
Thanks to its favourable position in the South Pacific Ocean, Samoa receives excellent surfing conditions all year round. Southeast trade winds during the dry season in April to October bring strong swells of up to 10ft. February to March usually brings picture-perfect conditions with less winds and glassy conditions.
