Savai'i Northern Coast Tour

Features

Walking/Treks Islands Rainforest Sightseeing Culture

Overview

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic 1-hour 15-minute ferry ride aboard Lady Samoa III from Mulifanua to Salelologa. Upon arriving in Savai'i, your journey begins at Sapapali'i Village, the historic landing site of the early missionaries. From there, continue to Saleaula Village, where local families still reside among the vast lava fields left behind by the 1905 eruption of Mt. Matavanu.

Explore the haunting ruins of the village church and visit the legendary Virgin's Graveā€”a burial site so sacred that, according to local legend, the molten lava miraculously flowed around it rather than covering it.

Next, the tour takes you to Satoalepai Wetland, where you can observe the graceful turtles while enjoying a relaxing lunch. After a day of discovery and cultural immersion, return to Salelologa for the 2pm ferry back to Upolu.
