Overview

Travel along the main Cross Island Road to the renowned Robert Louis Stevenson Museum. Explore this historic site surrounded by stunning tropical gardens and breathtaking mountain views.

Continue the scenic drive through lush mountains and rainforest, pausing at Papapapaitai Falls for a photo opportunity. Follow the Cross Island Road to the southeastern side of Upolu, passing through charming villages, plantations, and an expansive forestry reserve before arriving at Tafatafa Beach.

At this beautiful stretch of white sand, you can swim in the crystal-clear waters, sunbathe, take a leisurely stroll, or unwind in a traditional Samoan fale while a delicious BBQ lunch is prepared. See how fresh coconut cream is made from Samoa's 'Tree of Life'—a treat you'll get to sample along with fresh coconut.

On the return journey to Apia, head east through the stunning Le Mafa Pass, which sits 1,700 feet above sea level. This scenic drive offers spectacular views of the eastern and southern shorelines, as well as the lush tropical rainforest.
