Located approximately an hour and a half north of Brisbane, getting to Alexandra Headland is easy thanks to its position just off the Bruce Highway. Situated in the heart of Queensland's Sunshine Coast, the holiday hot spot is 101km north of the state capital and is connected by a number of major highways including the Sunshine Motorway.
Getting to Alexandra Headland takes just under an hour and 20 minutes by car from Brisbane heading north along the Bruce Highway. Upon reaching Sippy Downs, exit onto the Sunshine Motorway and continue along until the Mooloolaba Road exit. Follow Mooloolaba Road until you reach Pacific Terrace which will lead you to Alexandra Parade and right into the centre of town. Be sure to leave time along the way to stop in at a number of the lovely coastal towns and attractions on the way to Alexandra Headland.
Conveniently located in Marcoola, just 10 minutes north of Alexandra Headland, the Sunshine Coast Airport is home to a number of airline with direct services between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Flights from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast take about an hour and a half while flights from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast take approximately 2 and a half hours.
Getting to Alexandra Headland by bus is also a great easy and affordable option if you're without a car. It's also a great way to enjoy the scenery and sit back and relax while someone else takes care of the driving. There are a number of bus and coach services that operate through nearby Nambour with connecting services into Alexandra Headland taking around 20 minutes. There are also local bus services that operate between the Sunshine Coast Airport and Alexandra Headland.
Getting to Alexandrea Headland is also possible by train, with frequent services operating to Nambour and regular bus connections available into Alexandra Headland.
