How To Get To Marcoola

Located just under an hour and a half north of Brisbane, getting to Marcoola is easy thanks to its popular position on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Situated 115km north of the state capital, Marcoola is connected by major highways and roads including the Sunshine Motorway and Bruce Highway.

Getting to Marcoola takes just an hour and 25 minutes from Brisbane by car, with the most popular route travelling along the Bruce Highway. When you get as far as Sippy Downs, turn onto the Sunshine Motorway and follow it until you see the turn off for David Low Way. Follow David Low Way following the signs to Marcoola then turn right onto Petrie Avenue which will take you right into the centre of town. Make sure you allow enough time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and popular coastal towns along the way.

Located just 6 minutes from Marcoola, the Sunshine Coast Airport is a convenient car or bus ride from the centre of Marcoola and offers direct flights from a number of airlines between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Making getting to Marcoola easy for travellers from interstate, flights to Marcoola from Sydney take approximately 90 minutes while flights to Marcoola from Melbourne take around 2 and a half hours.

Getting to Marcoola by coach or bus is another easy and affordable option regardless of whether you don't have your own vehicle or would just prefer to relax and enjoy the scenery while someone else takes care of the driving. There are a number of bus and coach companies that operate services along the Bruce Highway, many of which make regular stops in Nambour before connecting with local services to Marcoola. There are also plenty of local services that operate throughout town and between the Sunshine Coast Airport to make getting around a breeze.
