Sunshine Coast Shopping

Sunshine Coast shopping is a diverse range of local artisan and farmers markets, air-conditioned malls and trendy fashion boutiques, offering something for everyone. The markets are the place to pick up unique souvenirs, trinkets, handmade crafts and fashion, fresh local produce, street food, original art, jewellery, homewears and more. Eumundi is home to the most famous markets on the Sunshine Coast as the whole town comes to live each Wednesday and Saturday. Other popular markets include Caloundra's Bulcock Markets, the Cotton Tree Markets, Peregian Beach Market and the Noosa Farmers Market.

Hastings Street Noosa

Aside from the markets, some of the best Sunshine Coast shopping can be found in retail outlets and major shopping malls that are located throughout the historic hinterland towns, boardwalks and esplanades. Caloundra's main street offers a relaxed shopping destination while Noosa's famous Hastings Street boasts a more upmarket atmosphere home to a number of trendy fashion boutiques. Noosaville's Gympie Terrace offers plenty of shopping options as does Mooloolaba's Esplanade while Montville features a more European-style main street with plenty of space to leisurely stroll from one shop to another. Maroochydore's Sunshine Plaza is the place to go for major department stores, chain fashion stores and a number of independent retailers.

Wherever you choose to shop on the Sunshine Coast, each venue and region offers its own unique atmosphere, experience and style. Much like the different regions of the Sunshine Coast, each shopping precinct appeals to a different demographic and offers options to suit certain tastes and budgets. But whether you're after big discounts, unique pieces or high end goods there's one thing you can be certain of - there's plenty of Sunshine Coast shopping options to choose from. Although it may not be the focus of your holiday, it's almost impossible to visit the Sunshine Coast without indulging in some of its shopping options.
