Khaolak Merlin Resort will be renovating the Superior rooms from 15 May 2025 - 31 August 2025. Disruption to guests will be minimal during this time. The Veranda Restaurant will also be closed for renovations. During this time guests are able to dine at The Garden or Sunset Hut.

Layout of hotel is good,whilst there is lots of stairs there is also ramps making it easier to walk around. Four pools were nice. Beach was average but probably wrong time of year. Breakfast good. Plenty of restaurants,basic shopping and massage available 2minute walk from hotel.

The Merlin Resort absolutely ticks all the boxes - great room, beautiful gardens, a really strong concern for looking after their environment and the rainforest and even have resident biologist and great wildlife tours. The food is great at both restaurants and the breakfast 5/5 and such a lovely vista overlooking pools and trees and beach. The numerous pools are fantastic. Also so great to be on the beach with no road between you and the beach. And with the village so close down the road there are plenty of places to eat & drink, or buy anything we need or have a massage or get a taxi to take a tour
